Moments ago at Hard Justice, ODB and Cody Deaner defeated Angelina Love and Velvet Sky to take the Knockouts Championship. Deaner rolled up Velvet after a botched attempt to spray him in the eyes by Madison Rayne on the outside, she instead accidentally sprayed Velvet allowing Deaner to win.
Afterwards, ODB was announced as the new Knockouts Champion but Deaner snatched it out of her hands taking it for himself.
Yes folks, a man has posession of the Knockouts Championship — something even WWE wasn’t silly enough to pull the trigger on. Does this negate all the hard work these talented women have put into the division? I would say yes and if I were one of the Kongs, Taras, Saritas etc., I would be pissed. With ‘unfiltered Vince Russo’, some wrestling journos smarter than I expected something like this might happen. The Knockouts Title becomes but a prop in TNA’s idea of ‘comedy’.
And even if we look beyond the fact that a man has posession of the title, all the abrupt title changes are aggravating. It’s like they’re passing around the belt like candy.
On a brighter note, I felt the tension between Ang/Velvet and Madison was nicely done, post-match.

I try so hard to have faith in TNA, but it’s the rubbish like this that lets me down.
The only redeeming part of this match was the aftermath with TBP dismissing Rayne. But as far as I’m concerned, this all should have happened a month ago, and Tara should be champion.
Seriously, three different champions in just over a month? I wonder if d’Amore is happy being back?
What the hell, TNA? I know they saw how the crowd hated the whole “Santina” fiasco, but this is even worse.
Tension within the Beautiful People was the only interesting thing about the match.

If whoever their GM is doesn’t order Deaner to give the belt to ODB immediately on the next show, I am so over TNA. And who is it that’s been demanding to see Cody Deaner so much recently? Why is his whole sexual harassment angle getting so much time? Does anyone find it amusing? I think it was Melanie who was saying they’ve ruined ODB’s character using this guy. She used to be a strong contender with comedy leanings and now she’s just a joke. I don’t entirely begrudge her the title because she should’ve had it a long time ago, but the booking here was just awful, awful shit.

I’m happy to see the obvious tension between TBP, and I’m delighted that ODB won, but I can’t see where this angle is going…

It’s pretty laughable how their top star gets arrested for stalking, and then they go have Cody essentially violate three of their women on live TV.

I think TNA likes embarassing there own company,i mean the TNA knockouts title was one of the most prestigious womens title in womens wrestling and now look at it,the title has changed hands 3 times in just one month and now,a man is holding it,PATHETIC,TNA is just beyond me at times,i love TNA but it’s really hard to defend it when they pull shit like this.I’M SERIOUS,ODB BETTER BE THE CHAMPION,the men in TNA have 6 titles to compete for,the knockout title BELONGS to the woman,it’s up in the air for sharing,you can’t give the only thing that belongs to the woman and give it to a man,thats bullshit.i don’t know about you guys but the womens and divas titles are looking very good at this moment
the ending with the beautiful people was amazing,perfectly done but i feel so bad for madison(she’s my favorite beautiful people) because she’s always getting pushed around and getting blamed for everything,this will eventually lead to the beautiful people breaking up and thank god,the gimmick was great but it’s run it’s course,turn velvet and madison babyface or at least turn madison babyface,as for angelina,i have no idea

Well technically, ODB *is* the Knockouts Champion but they had Deaner snatch it away from her because it makes oh so exciting television. Who needs wrestling when we can have hi-larious gender-bending skits with Deaner thinking he’s the champion?
Once again people seem to be reading what they want to read. We never said Deaner is the Knockouts Champion, he has posession of the Knockouts Championship.
Who decided a mixed tag match for the title was a good idea in the first place? Who does that? And a major title change after what? A two week build that was overshadowed by other non-title feuds going on at the same time?
I hope so melanie because cody did get the pin so i seriously have no idea but I pray it’s ODB
I can’t believe this shit. Well, actually, I can. Even with all of the talent that they have on their roster, TNA’s horrible creative team can always manage to ruin everything. I just want to yell at them, Tyra Banks on ANTM style:

I find Cody Deaner to be ten times more entertaining than Santina, and as does the fans at Hard Justice who cheered him on. Lol. But on a more serious note, ODB to my knowledge is the Knockout’s champion it’s just that Deaner feels as though it’s his championship since he got the pin. I before the match-up started after finding out that he was going to be in it knew that something like this would be the ending, and as expected Cody Deaner took the title. It’s hilarious, but I don’t see them doing a whole month of Cody Deaner – Knockout’s champion. Lol. I just don’t, but I obviously do see something happening this coming TNA show that will either make someone else other than ODB the champion… or make her the official champion. I just don’t see them doing what the WWE did with Santina to Cody.
They should’ve never had this to begin with! RKOyou is right about ODB winning the title with Deaner’s help, but let’s face facts, the fan aren’t interested in ODB and TBP; they are interested in the Kong/Tara fued, also the Sarita/Alissa fued.
Again, it’s bad booking by TNA, like always at their PPV’s. And I thought Victory Road was bad. Don’t get me wrong, match was entertaining, but it didn’t seem Knockout material, IMO.
I was afraid something like this would happen. Just like TNA to take eight steps back just when they were starting to get ahead. Just judging by the comments here, the Knockout Title has lost prestige in a lot of people’s books. I daresay, the Divas’ Title is on a higher level at this point.
Okay its ODB title not cody deaner lol why would they give it to him it is a knockout title which means female title, by the way this is wrestling and wrestling is for entertainment purposed, and don’t say the wwe has never went so low, just look at WM 25 when u had greats and legends in the ring like Victoria, Molly Holly and Torrie wilson and then a man dressed in drag wins the title out of 24 female wrestlers so whats worse having a man hold up the belt like it is his at a ppv which happens every month, or have a man in drag win a sash that says wrestle mania 25 which only is going to happen once in a lifetime, i say this cody deaner thing is just dumb and TNA couldn’t figure out what to do with the title they eather have to create another title, for the knockouts like the divas title are cut some of the roster just like i tweeted to Taylor wilde u guys have so much female talent there but not enough time to show case it they need an all female show and taylor sure did agree with me.
santino may not have won the wwe women’s title, but he was ”miss wrestlemania” which was just as terrible, so you can’t all be saying TNA have done something so terrible that even the wwe wouldnt do. The fact is that they have both blundered big time when it comes to their womens divisions
I don’t follow TNA, so I didn’t know the full result. So when I saw the title – ‘ODB wins Knockouts title’ – and then glanced a few paragraphs down and read ‘A man has posession of the (title)’, I just had to giggle. :D
