What do you buy a man who has it all? Nothing. You just let him hog Raw for most of the show. On a night where everything else played second fiddle to Vince McMahon’s birthday celebrations, there wasn’t much in the way of anything groundbreaking or storyling progression. In fact, judging by the pinfall last night, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just did a cointoss to decide who gets to pin who. Now, I love my Alicia Fox but that was some random sh*t last night. I’m sure it took all of their collective energy to write the scintilating Vince segment that they didn’t have time to actually put any effort into anything else. Luckily for a girl like me, I can now boast that Alicia has a victory over the Divas Champion, Mickie James. Yay! Watch below:
You’re forgiven if you overlooked the actual wrestling due to the nature of the match, ‘Mayweather Melee’… really? The distracting outfits and gloves certainly didn’t help. But nonetheless, I’m going to attempt to talk about the match with a straight face:
We actually got off to a pretty good start with Melanie’s favourite Raw Diva, Gail Kim putting last week behind her as she battles Beth Phoenix… but all goes downhill when Gail almost instantly tags in Kelly Kelly. Last week, we confirmed that Kelly is indeed a spot monkey, so what does a spot monkey do? Spots! A hurricanrana, then a leg scissors using the corner for help but Beth catches her into a backbreaker. Honestly, I have no problem with Kelly’s spots in a match like this. There’s limited time and six girls, you gotta get your signature moves out of the way, so in that sense it works. But last week was just not on, Kelly Kelly… we were all rooting for you!
Beth drives Kelly into her corner before tagging out to Rosa Mendes‘s weave [Diva Dirt meme in the making!]. Rosa hits Kelly a few times before Kelly comes back with some decent looking forearms for a change followed by the Torrie Wilson clothesline, nicely sold by Rosa.
Rosa tags in Alicia, Kelly tags Mickie. Alicia runs to Mickie’s corner before she can even get in the ring, but the Divas Champ fights back. Mickie delivers some awesome looking lefts and rights to Foxy, who hits the mat. Really nicely done. She knocks Beth & Rosa off the apron before hitting Alicia with a neckbreaker. She takes a second to pause and adjust her skirt — why were one if you know it’s gonna hike up and you’re going to need to pull it back down? Yeah.
Mickie goes for a pin, Beth breaks it up and gets a missile dropkick from Gail for her efforts. And from one dropkick to another, Kelly hits an awful dropkick to Rosa who’s weave then falls to the outside.
In the ring, Lou Thesz press by Mickie and then some weird looking hair pulling… I don’t even… Anyway, Alicia throws Mickie into the ringpost before hitting a Booker T-licious scissors kick. You could tell she was waiting for Mickie to get into position and was ready to hit it seconds ago, but when she finally did, it didn’t look pretty at all. Alicia gets the win and Melanie marks out.
All in all, I think it was a throwaway edition of Raw, especially for the Divas. I would love to see this lead to something more substantial for Alicia but it likely won’t. If it does, it’ll be an extremely welcome surprise but I don’t know, I just don’t think it means much. Hopefully we’ll go back to actual storylines next week, but I’m not even holding my breath. Blah Raw, great win for my girl though.

I thought alicias kick looked great
I loved Mickie and her Left and Rights lol, if this whole wwe thing comes to an end she could totally go into the boxing ring. Well this match was kind of lame and wow you put it nicely Kellyx2 is a spot Monkey, i like how they just threw out last week and acted like Mickie didn’t kill Gail with those even eyes after the match, wwe must think we are stupid. But i fell the Raw needs to really re work its Diva Division they are all over the place unlike Smackdown which has a pretty Damn good Feud going on between Melina and Michelle. I love Gail and her flying off the top rope giving beth 2 feet to the chest, and yeah kellyx2 standing drop kick to Rosa umm yeah not even worth words. Was laughing when Mickie kept pulling her skert down lol I love Mickie. Sadly though I fell with DX now back on Raw and this whole Randy orton John Cena feud going on, we are only gonna get tag team matches and maybe a fatal four way here and there, but I think Alicia winning this Match means nothing she probably did win the coin toss backstage. but i do see great potential in Alicia like you said in an article before even Melina gave Alicia props and Melina doesn’t give props to just anyone so she must be something special. BTW why is Jillian still on the show they need to just let her go or use her, because her singing is far from funny its just horrible and annoying.

Sadly, I am just about ready for Jillian to be released. I feel second hand embarassment for her whenever she’s on TV in skits like the past 2 weeks.

I thought this match was average. I enjoyed the boxing from Mickie James, that looked great on TV. Alicia Fox picking up the win for her team was unexpected, but I enjoyed it. These weekly matches the RAW divas have, have no meaning due to there being no storyline as usual. The matches take place to fill up the card. It would be interesting to see Mickie James become heel and have an actual storyline (not I want the title) with Gail Kim.
I feel so sad, Jillian is my favourite Diva, she’s such a great wrestler and she can act like no one else, she deserves a freakin Oscar, if Halle Berry did it…
Anyways, I hope she doesn’t get released, but I’m kind of ready for it, when Cherry was released I felt like sh!t, so I’ll be prepared this time!!
If there’s someone that needs to go, that one is Maria, and I wouldn’t mind to see the Bellas leave, not that they’re bad wrestlers, but they’re gimmick is becoming extremely annoying!
I really hope they make Jillian go to ECW, or even SmackDown, I can’t stand watching her on the backstage when she’s better than most of the Divas, she’s unique in-ring wise, that must mean something…or not :(
Miss Fox is deserving of a push! I swear she’s a female bump machine a-la Dolph Ziggler. For the few seconds Gail and Beth worked during the start of the match had me excited for their one on one down the line.
I said it last week and I’ll say it again, Rosa Mendes seems to think that it is okay to recycle used hair. Sorry Miss Mendes but that’s a no go, no Mam! While a I like her with longer hair, it doesn’t change the fact that it looks like ole girl washes her hair pieces in sink, leaves them to dry on hanger and then decides to wear them on television along with her atrocious orange pantyhose. (Take Note Eve and Rosa ain’t no need to have ompa lumpa legs when your a caramel girl!)
I was at this one and really felt sad for the divas. They had what amounted to a short gimmick filler of a match that did nothing at all for the stories. Randon observations: Kelly really seems like she’s hit a plateau. She does the same moves all the time. The silliest one is her hurricanrana. Beth can bench press 2-3x what kelly weighs and she’s going to get spun around by someone she’s holding???? As for Alicia? Talk about underused talent. She should have never been moved off Smackdown.
DX coming back is the worst thing that could have happened to Raw. Now EVERYTHING takes second, third, 4th etc place to them. The opening segment ran at least 20-25 minutes. So much so that everyone around me was wondering when there would be some actual wrestling. Normally RAW puts a skit like the one they did at the end of a match after the TV broadcast is over. Well, they did that too. Usually there is a dark match after the broadcast is over, but not this time. It was more of the DX, Vince birthday show. yes, give the man his props he did make the WWE what it is, but last night was way too much.

ok, jillians segments might not be everyones cup of tea, BUT the past 2 weeks shes worked with not only 2 of the biggest stars around (DX) but with the boss himself this week, i mean vince doesnt really just book anyone in segments with him, same with dx even if they are comedy segments, now i’d like to see her move to something better but at least its something, and i still find them hilarious, plus yet again the poll on wwe.com shes winning, so just keep voting for her and let it be known shes loved and maybe, just maybe, a small smidgen of a chance she’ll get some kind of decent push
oh and something i just thought of about jillian, she has a daughter, and she doesnt work houseshows (most likely because she has a daughter) so theres a good chance she knows shes not gonna get the huge push because she cant work house shows, but she may be happy just working and being there

Man,i hope WWE gives jillian is push,the closest thing Jilian ever got to a push was in 2007,it was when candice won the womens title and she had already beat melina in there rematch,WWE had a choice between jillian or Beth to face candice and jillian was the orginally the main choice,she even beat mickie james on raw but then last minute,WWE choice beth phoenix over jillian because they thought beth would be a better choice,jillian has never come close to a push since then

Don’t feel like an idiot! It’s not something many fans know & I’m sure Jillian herself would prefer it that way, the women in the industry should be seen as ‘attainable’ by the men watching.
They need to give the RAW divas a storyline instead of just putting them in matches it is becoming quite boring. The divas of smackdown actually have a storyline going on.
I’m aware of that I’m kind of even paranoid of violating there privacy and some superstars I think have done some things at home that would make me gag now back on topic I kinda want Jillian get released because of the embarrassing segments shes been in but in this economy I would hate to see a diva with a child end up job hunting If she can’t get a job with TNA and if she doesn’t have a college education I really hope she has one or something else shes good at or has an Idea for a business like Trish,Torrie and Victoria do.

For some reason, on the Raw results page on WWE.com, Alicia pinning Mickie isn’t mentioned. Instead, it puts over Beth, saying she won the battle royal at SummerSlam and led her team to victory on Raw.
I expect this time killing stuff on both shows to end when Maryse and Michelle McCool are able to compete again. WWE seems to want them as top heels and have chosen to stall and kill time until they can return to action.

I don’t know if WWE takes their poles into account… let alone their diva poll, but Jillian’s been getting the most votes for who people want the next #1 contender to be. So it could be good news for her, I mean she’s been ridiculously patient, that’s just a random observation I made.
I remember like a month ago they had another poll asking which diva people wanted to see go for the gold, I think it was Beth, Layla, Katie Lea, and Melina. Obviously Melina had the most votes, but I was pushing for Katie Lea, sadly she came in third behind Beth, one could only hope that creative takes their polls into account.

Jillian actually got a decent pop last night, on a video! I was kind of suprised by that, but hey, maybe she will be getting a push. Like some other people said, she is working with some of the higher ups in the company.
remember, Jillian’s last day was MONDAY NIGHT RAW, she no longer works for WWE, is getting married next week, just an FYI. I love this site
i dont know if anybody noticed but around 1:58 some guy is saying either Mickie is a slut or Mickie sucks i cant tell which it is but thats probably why Mickie was very fired up that night. I think it was a good match considering how little time they had to do it.
