We received word that solves the ‘familiar face’ mystery Jeremy Borash tweeted about last night. We’re told that former Knockout, Roxxi aka Nikki Roxx, is set to return to TNA.
I don’t know about you but Roxxi sure does fit the bill of a familiar face that “you probably wouldn’t expect.”
Furthermore, I’ve confirmed that at least one other reliable source has been told & is reporting the same thing.
So who would Roxxi team up with in the tournament? My vote goes to Daffney, if they turn her back into the Voodoo Queen.

The Daffney-Roxxi team is just my opinion by the way, not a fact.
If they pair those two up and give them the titles, I’d be happy to say the least. Roxxi is awesome and so is Daffney, Shame it means no more Nikki on ROH though.
I’m doubting this right now, to be honest. Roxxi JUST debuted officially in AAA exactly a week ago from tomorrow as the newest members of a stable with Rain and Teddy Hart. That said, it seems AAA is her full commitment right now, so I don’t see Roxxi being the “new familiar face.”

I don’t know the full details, if it’s a full time gig or just for the tournament. All I know is she is headed back & she didn’t deny it when I contacted her.

WOW! I wasn’t expecting that, by the “familiar face” thing, i was going to think it was a former wwe diva since TNA is hiring WWE wrestlers & diva’s. But Roxxi coming back is amazing. When she was there, i wasn’t the biggest fan of hers but when she got her head shaved bold, i had to give her kudos for doing that. i bet they’ll team roxxi with madison or someother lower card knockout to bring her higher. ROXXI & DAFFNEY would be an awesome team.
it’s that debut of that japan knockout tonight. from the spoilers, it sounds like a good match but i am dissapointed with how TNA have treated daffney as a punch bag after her fued with taylor
actually,rumor has it that Hamadas match with daffney was a dark match and the match was just setup to see Hamadas moves up close,most likely TNA will have hype videos like what they did with sarita to debut hamada but the match could air tonight,i have no idea
I was trying not to get my hopes up that it would be Roxxi, but… that would be awesome. I miss Roxxi. They shouldn’t have fired her in the first place. They give her some BS excuse that they don’t have anything for her creatively when she’s clearly one of the most popular women they have, not to mention that she was already involved in a storyline at the time, and yet they keep someone like Sojourner Bolt around who they do absolutely nothing with and couldn’t be less over if she tried. Bunch of ####ing rocket scientists.
Interesting timing… Rhaka Khan appears to have one foot out the door and suddenly Roxxi is brought back. That would certainly support the rumors that Khan had something to do with her release.
I don’t know what the status of her in AAA is, but with TNA’s schedule I don’t see why she couldn’t work for both companies if that’s allowed.

I think I’m going to have to wait this one out, and try to not get too excited until something has been announced officially.
As mentioned above, she only just debuted with AAA as well as joining ROH and not to mention that she just started a new “real-life” job in a gym a few days ago. As much as I’d love her returning to TNA to be the case, it seems really quite doubtful – but I’d enjoy being proven wrong.
If it’s true, it’s gonna be with Madison Rayne.
However, logic says it’s Moose. IWA-MS owes TNA money, so TNA can use Mickie Knuckles for discount so they can pay TNA back.
I don’t want to get my hopes up, but Daffney and Roxxi teaming up would be amazing!
Oh man I’d LOVE that to happen. But as some have already mentioned, she’s just started with AAA. Who knows? The timing can’t be just a coincidence especially with Rhaka Khan virtually on her way out of TNA.
And RKOyou, Dixie Carter mentioned in an interview just posted by the Baltimore Sun that the Hamada match will be on Impact.

Additional news: PWInsider is now reporting the same thing. Also when contacted for comment, Roxxi didn’t deny that she was headed back. She didn’t confirm it either, but the non-denial is what journalists would call a ‘bullseye’.
Roxxi is coming back! Yippie! Whether it’s long term or short term, I’m happy, and I hope that she is aligned with Daffney. A Daffney and Roxxi tag team would be perfect, since both have played these creepy characters on TNA.
I am really glad to hear this! I have always been a fan of Nikki/Roxxi.
Also, Melanie, I would absolutely love to see her team up with Daffney.
