She was in pain and needed a lifestyle change. And Ashley asked to be released too. Here's the thing with Maria, she seems like a sincerely nice gal, but she isn't a good wrestler, mostly because she hasn't had sufficient training. Her clotheslines need work, her forearms need work, and she needs to work a bit on running the ropes, etc. Her strengths are her personality and her status among the WWE Universe. A lot of people already liked her because of her bubbly interview character that created some really amusing moments. But she was solidified as a fan favorite when she teamed with Jeff Hardy, and imitated his ring entrance. After that she was involved with Santino in a story line and recieved her palyboy push.
