As we first broke, there was some talk of Candice Michelle at the post-Hard Justice Impact tapings last month. Well PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has now reported that Candice could be brought in as the ‘winner’ of the Big Sexy Tour to search for Kevin Nash’s valet.
In July, TNA announced that Nash and the company were holding a competition to find a female valet to accompany Nash to the ring at the December 20th Final Resolution pay per view.
Johnson reports that there’s been talk of the competition being a ‘front’ to introduce the former Women’s Champion.

I think it would be a bad move by TNA to hire Candice instead of better wrestlers like ALL the SHIMMER girls and even Cherry. But if they’re going to make a big Knockouts divison with a lot of girls, I wouldn’t mind if Candice was one of them, as long as her in-ring time is reduced as much as possible.

TNA pulled this same stunt with the OBD contest so I’m not really surprised. My real concern was that they’d use this contest to bring in someone like Trina ‘Gangbangs-for-battle-royales” Michaels. Candice is definitely the lesser of two evils.

I always said that bringing Candice Michelle to TNA would be a smart move, especially since she has such a large fan base, and I’m almost certain that they’d watch TNA just to see her again. I’m not too concerned if the rumor’s true, because Candice would be better used as a valet, anyhow. However, I was never too fond of the Main Event Mafia having sooo many dang valets. Like when Jenna was there, so I’d hope that Candice wouldn’t just stand there, and not say a damn thing.

Meh, I don’t mind Candice if she’s only going to be used as Nash’s valet. Better than Jenna I suppose. Don’t really want to see her in matches though.

Kevin Nash said in an interview he wants his valet to be like Miss Elizabeth – he doesn’t want them to wrestle, he doesn’t want them to take bumps – he just wants a classy lady to accompany him to the ring and no get involved in the matches.
So it doesn’t really matter if the woman who ends up as his valet isn’t a great wrestler.

Candice would make a great addition to the Knockouts division. She plays a really good heel if she were to join the Main event mafia, is a fan favorite face, and has the skills to put on a great match. She had really good matches with Beth Phoenix, and who is to say that she won’t with the amazing TNA roster. She is 20 times better than Jenna in the ring, she puts on better matches than Christy, Rhaka Khan, and dare I say Sojo Bolt as well. I’m not saying Candice is on the level of a Tara, Awesome Kong or Sarah Stock, but she has the ability to pull off a match with either of them with a little more training added onto the skills she already has.

She is better in the ring than Velvet Sky and Traci IMO which isn’t saying much but still…
Depends if Candice wishes to re-enter the wrestling business. Reports said that after her WWE release she was living quite comfortably.

People really think Candice is a better wrestler than Velvet? When Candice made her debut, Velvet already had 3 years of experience in the indies under the name Talia Madison. And she was reasonable succesful, both solo and with her tagteam partner April Hunter as T&A.
Velvet/Talia might not be the most technical/physical knockout in TNA, but she is still a mile ahead of Candice, Christy or the other models, and more importantly knows a lot more moves. Velvet however is often booked to loose matches and doesnt get much opportunities to show what she can do. Now that Angelina Love is gone this will open up the way for both herself and Madison Rayne to show what they can do in the ring.

Experience doesn’t always make you a good wrestler. As for Candice being a valet, I actually think she would be great at it. She was good when she managed Torrie Wilson and Victoria anyways. And she has that it factor that would make her stand out from being simply arm candy.

ugh. i am insanely irritated with the TNA seemingly new theme of “run a fake competition”….
if they use the “competition” to bring in someone who has already been around…. ugh. yeah. i cant find words. i dont care if they bring candice michelle in. i think bringing in that porn star is a stupid possibility and am hoping it doesnt happen.
but seriously. dont make the competition fake again. the ODB thing made me wish i hadnt payed for the PPV…. argh. okay, now i’m cranky. *sighs*.

If Candice can’t stay healthy in a 4-sided ring, how the hell will she handle 6-sides? The TNA ring is less forgiving and the ropes barely bend. She would not make it through a round of tapings unscathed….unless she’s a valet only. But then it’d be a wasted signing because Candice does have experience and like any company, TNA should utilize their investment to the max.
