Maryse‘s Twitter has taken a life of it’s own, with fans [read: me] just waiting to read what crazy thing she will say next. From having her top ripped off her in public to this Desperate Housewives moment.
We, the good people of Diva Dirt, mark this day so we shall ~never forget~

i love maryse’s tweets
im probably the only one who thinks this
but i find it cute how she said
“this place with be on fire” :P
It pisses me off how she always says she’s out somewhere with friends drinking and shopping but hasn’t mentioned once that she’s training and trying to get better in the ring.
Maybe because she’s not medically cleared to train yet?
i hate how ‘maurice’ always tweets about herself like; i thank my mother for my gorgeous looks or something like that, + be sexy, god its soo annoying…..
why cant she just randomly tweet without something sexy or herself in it
@Melanie Rob lol Maryse tweets can get annoying at times she is always talking about her looks and her beauty and how sexy she is, so it just goes to show you that what Tara said in that interviw in pwi that Maryse is the closest to her in ring character which is annoying. But unlike other divas like McCool and Layla they are such beezzys in the ring but so nice on twitter. Its funny cuz i have grown to LOVE Layla just because of her tweets and the few times i have tweeted with her she just seems like she has a great appreciation for her fans, Michelle to her words are alwasy inspirational. most annoying Diva i am following has to be Maria ugh her tweets are always so emo… But love Layla, Michelle and Eve by far my favorite Divas i am following plus….Knockouts like Taylor wilde, Awsome kong.
Best is Awesome Kong for sure!
Layla, Michelle and Angela Fong are really nice to…
@Melanie thats a good point but I agree with others, Maryses tweets always havesomething about how sexy she is in them! It gets annoying after a while and lead me to unfollow her.
For gods sake, she’s keeping in (semi) character, that’s why she’s being so narcisistic.
Her broken english is quite endearing to me lol.
….She must work REALLY hard at the gym…it seems that everytime I view her twitter page she’s talking about chocolate, wine, fancy almonds, and now pie!?
God bless Twitter.
God bless Maryse.
I could totally see her working the whole Edie Britt Desperate Housewives thing
Maybe you should do a Desperate Housewives Screen Sirens?
@jaj, yeah but i dont like her on screen character! Then again I suppose cause shes heel im not supposed to hah.
@SophStar-x – haha yeah exactly, shes about the only true heel diva since Melina circa 2005.
I love Maryse, in and out of character. She’s beautiful, smart, sexy, and funny and her tweets reflect that. If I looked like that I would always tweet about it as well lol, I mean I do it now and I don’t look like Maryse so God help me if I did. The broken English is so amusing and cute, I love it. She’s my favorite Diva bar none.
AND plus if you really look at her tweets there are times she was at the gym working out. I remember reading one that was something along the lines of her using her IPod and pretending like she didn’t speak English to avoid some guy hitting on her at the gym. I think she’s doing what she can but I think it’s important for the injury to fully heal before doing anything major in her training.
This is why I UNfollowed. Being confident is okay, but being self absorbed is NOT!! Shes not even that attractive, shes just average. When she tweets about training like 75% of the other female wrestlers do, let me know!!
I feel like saying one of those ’80s sitcom lines like ‘That’s our Maryse!’ everytime she tweets stuff like that lol.
This just proves that Maryse is one of the best heels to come along in years. Even her Tweets get peoples panties in a bunch lol.
B_Fizzle – The problem as far as I can see, was not about what Maryse wrote in her tweets but about what Maryse didn’t write in her tweets. Therefore, it doesn’t really prove much. Plus, it’s an opinion if Maryse is one of the best heels to come along in years, not something’s that clear to see.
My opinion: Maryse has a good character as a heel but when she returns and if she’s not as good as she was on Smackdown then people like myself aren’t going to call her a good wrestler. She’ll just be one of the few that are okay in the ring, but are better at playing roles aka acting.
:D
I enjoy that Maryse uses Twitter as an outlet to showcase her personality. Its funny and its gets her across as even more as a heel (not that she needs help). She obviously works out and trains. If she doesn’t feel like using Twitter to make redundant posts like “In the gym” that’s her prerogative.
“She’ll just be one of the few that are okay in the ring, but are better at playing roles aka acting.”
Like Trish? She was never as good as Jazz, Molly Holly or Victoria. She was just better at playing her role. I’m don’t think Maryse will mind.
“I enjoy that Maryse uses Twitter as an outlet to showcase her personality.”
B_Fizzle – That’s YOUR opinion. You’re entitled to have an opinion on Maryse and her use of Twitter, however you’re misinterpreting what I said. No one’s saying that she can’t have her own prerogative, therefore, no one’s TELLING her that she has to put “In the gym”, in her Tweets at all. So, clearly I don’t understand where you’re coming from since you’re claiming that it’s her prerogative what she puts in her Tweets when no one’s telling her what to do. Some of the people above, simply made a statement about her never putting that on her Tweets. No need to tell us the basics of what she can and can not do when we know this. But, okie dokie. That’s HER prerogative.
:p
Comparing Trish Status to Maryse Ouellet is like comparing night to day. They have nothing in common aside from the fact that they’re both Canadians and played heels. With that being said, all of this “She was never as good as Jazz, Molly Holly or Victoria.”, is you’re open just as “She’ll just be one of the few that are okay in the ring, but are better at playing roles aka acting.”, was MINE. Lol, therefore, I don’t even understand why you’d compare her to her when I made an opinion, not a true statement, but an opinion that has nothing to do with Trish Stratus.
Hence, why I put MY OPINION write before typing it up. You make it seem as though what you’re saying is a true statement when it’s an opinion. Some beg to differ as others might agree.
“Comparing Trish Status to Maryse Ouellet is like comparing night to day.”
I disagree with the idea that they are so totally different. They’re not indentical, either, but I believe they are closer than it seems. There are definite similarities in their pre-wrestling backgrounds, their career paths after debuting, their physical appearance, and the way they play heel.
Lol whatever dude. Comments are a place to showcase our opinions. No need to go start an arguement over it just because you don’t agree with mine.
I do think that women like Jazz and Molly Holly were better in-ring workers than Trish or Lita. I always felt Trish and Lita were really overrated.
Trish had a great thing called charisma, which Maryse does have to, but in terms of in-ring work they have nothing in common…Maryse is really not that good of a wrestler, she’s good, but not comparable to Trish.
“Trish had a great thing called charisma, which Maryse does have to, but in terms of in-ring work they have nothing in common…Maryse is really not that good of a wrestler, she’s good, but not comparable to Trish.”
One of the reasons I have high hopes for Maryse is because Trish had a really rough start but improved so much that she became one of the best ever. Watching her in 2000, Trish becoming such a huge star seemed very unlikely because she didn’t even resemble the performer she would eventually become. Maryse has shown lot of star potential since the time she started as a regular character in early-2008, and hopefully, her growth will continue.
I don’t know what everyone’s talking about. I love Maryse’s tweets. She’s adorable. And she only says those conceded things to stay in character. Plus I think it’s funny how she still can’t quite write in english fluently. I noticed that they changed the way she wrote her quote above so that it made sense.
