What a historic Raw. Tonight we witnessed the first ever 2-person triple threat match in history. *rolls eyes*
lol right i was like ok… wheres the third person.. i guess it was another Lilian mess up haha… Trish looks awesome tonight :D
yay glad Alicia won :) someone diff other than the usual winner… hopefully she gets a push and maybe a feud? maybe…? guess shes lucky 3 other divas r injured, it gives her a chance :)
That was a very good divas match on RAW. Finally Alicia get her chance to shine.
I’m so happy Alicia won yay.
Alicia backbreaker, bodyslam, and Axe kick was SICK! This girl is amazing I think Mickie and Alicia feud would be great. The way Mickie was talking about her and they way Alicia was looking. This could be a great match and a feud.
Oh Lilian messed up like always.
So who else thinks WWE are force-feeding Lilian false information to make her look stupid? ;)
Trish, I would probably have more respect for her as a wrestler if she lost tonight – or at the very least didn’t make the pin.
^ LoL Kaledrina. I think that. There’s no way Lilian is just messing up for the sake of it.
I was curious so I did a little research:
Gail Kim signed with WWE in October 2002 (didn’t make her debut until June 20, 2003) and was released on November 3, 2004, … in that time Gail Kim worked three pay-per-view matches:
Unforgiven (10-21-03): Trish Stratus & Lisa defeated Gail Kim & Molly Holly
Bad Blood (06-13-04): Trish Stratus defeats Gail Kim, Victoria, and Lita
Summerslam (08-15-04): Takes part in a 12-Dvia “Dodge Ball” game (her LAST pay-per-view appearance)
Gail Kim signed with TNA Wrestling on September 3, 2005 and left the promotion on August 21, 2008 … in that time Gail Kim worked sixteen pay-per-view matches:
Victory Road (07-16-06): AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Sirelda defeat Chris Harris, James Storm, and Gail Kim
Hard Justice (08-13-06): Gail Kim defeated Sirelda
Against All Odds (02-11-07): James Storm & Jacqueline Moore defeated Petey Williams & Gail Kim
Destination X (03-11-07: James Storm & Jacqueline Moore defeated Petey Williams & Gail Kim
Lockdown (04-15-07): Gail Kim defeated Jacqueline Moore (First-ever Knockout’s Cage Match)
Victory Road (07-15-07) Eric Young & Gail Kim defeated Robert Roode & Traci Brooks
Bound for Glory (10-14-07): Gail Kim wins 10-Knockout Battle Royal to become the first Knockout’s Champion
Genesis (11-11-07) Knockout’s Champion Gail Kim defeated Roxxi, ODB, and Angelina Love
Turning Point (12-02-07): Knockout’s Champion Gail Kim defeated Awesome Kong
Final Resolution (01-06-08): Knockout’s Champion Gail Kim defeated Awesome Kong
Destination X (03-09-08): Awesome Kong defeats Gail Kim and ODB
Lockdown (04-13-08): Gail Kim & ODB defeated Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed
Sacrifice (05-11-08): Gail Kim wins 10-Knockout Battle Royal
Slammiversary (06-08-08): Gail Kim, Roxxi, and ODB defeated Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Moose
Victory Road (07-13-08): Gail Kim defeated Angelina Love
Hard Justice (08-18-08) Gail Kim, Taylor Wilde, and ODB defeated Awesome Kong, Angelina Love, and Velvet Sky (LAST pay-per-view appearance)
Gail Kim returned to WWE on March, about six months ago and in that time she worked only ONE pay-per-view match and it was the dreadful Wrestlemania battle royal.
I’m just saying, that’s all ….
Kaledrina- That would actually make sense. xD Our poor dear Lillian.
Mickie looked so shock that Alicia won.
Batista really meant it when he said he wanted the Bellas. He’s one step closer now that he’s part of the SD/ECW tapings. I fear for the twins. Eve is smart by dating a MMA fighter.
Prediction: The next time WWE comes to Toronto, WWE will get creative and have Trish in a mixed tag match where the woman on the other team is Beth Phoenix.
Trish looked great. It’s just too bad they didn’t do something bigger, better, and more creative with her. She obviously can still go, and if WWE was smart, they would see if she would be willing to work an angle with a heel diva that would end at a pay-per-view with a one-on-one match.
Alciia vs. Mickie will likely be a decent match, but they’ll probably have it on Raw before the end of the month and that will be it since WWE seems to not want any Raw Divas to have actual feuds and storylines unless it involves a French Canadian or a Glamazon.
I gotta agree with you ChrisP, I think WWE missed the boat with a storyline/angle between Gail Kim and Mickie James that was teased several times and then just dropped. I really think WWE frowned on both wrestlers due to their series of bad matches.
Series of bad matches? I thought there was only one? Unless you mean both of them against other people and not just them one-on-one. But maybe they’ll give them a chance later on down the line? Right now I’m liking where this Alicia/Mickie thing could go, hopefully the WWE allows this to build so Alicia can have some character and maybe get over with the crowd. At least until my girl Maryse returns and gets her title back.
WOW! Trish did a very good job tonight. Too bad she didnt get more ring time & that it wasn’t just trish vs beth. Trish’s mic skills are 100% stratusfaction (which means excellent).
Gail vs Alicia – A good match, when i saw the results i was abit shocked b’cos i thought when i saw the preview it said gail vs alicia, i thought that alicia was just a filler & gail was going to win. but when i saw the results & saw that alicia won, i was thrilled b’cos i like alicia.
i think alicia is getting a push now & i hope she will be the next divas champion but she was improved in the last several months since wrestlemania.
Trish was great, maybe a tad rusty, but still top flight. Seemed a bit nervous early in her first promo, but found her groove quickly. She has charisma, and unfortunately for the WWE, you can’t teach charisma. But she could undoubtedly help many of the Divas with their delivery.
You know, I was just bored all the way through and I really tried not to be.
Smackdown is killing Raw.
Is this what Raw has become? 1# contender match, championship match (not even at PPV), repeat cycle with new contender……..
i wanna thatnk the WWE for mking Beth jobbing to Trish again,Trish didn´t need another moment of glory and Beth sure needed some momentum to solidify her status……and i´m really start to doubt about what Trish is being saying about Beth(and Natalya) it´s just BS.
Trish did an amazing job hosting and she looked smoking hot as well, she and beth have really good chemistry together,I’m happy trish won,we only see her once a year and I think she deserves the spotlight for that one night,Beth will get many pushes in the future so her losing doesn’t hurt
alicia and Gail was a great match,I was really hoping Jillian would be in the match and would win but once again,my hopes were destroyed but I’m glad alicia won, this girl is SERIOUSLY THE NEXT BIG THING in the womens division.Theres no way alicia will win the title against mickie but there making her into a credible opponent which is the real good news, hopifully alicia will get a rub from mickie
i’m still shocked WWE made Gail lose in her hometown, how mean
@redsoul: this was basicly a main event match (that batista squash hardly qualifies as a main event). How many times do you see a diva (or knockout) in a main event? The fact that they included Beth in that match is an obvious sign that WWE thinks highly of Beth. And it was a good match so Beth didnt loose any credibility by getting pinned. Besides, Beth rarely gets pinned lately unless Mickey is involved. I’m 100% certain that Beth was happy to be there get pinned by a legend, especially when she thinks back about her Santina-days.
Mikas,Tish had already beaten Beth in her last return, when she teamed with Cena….she didn´t need to beat Beth again, for what?why they didn´t make Beth and Trish teaming together, remembering the story when Trish introduced Beth as her new best friend in the feud with Mickie?
and i would love to see Beth stepping up to MVP more agressively, that would also be good for her.
oh well what goes on goes on….
On a random note about the blog (which was great) I said that Hornswoggle had been at a Shimmer volume but couldn’t remember which one. I found out today while watching Shimmer that it was volume 13, I challenge anyone to find him. It’s like a where’s Waldo of wrestling.
