Decade Diva, Lilian Garcia made a very notable snafu last night on Monday Night Raw — announcing a triple threat match for the #1 Contendership to Divas title. Of course, only two Divas were in the match, Alicia Fox and Gail Kim.
In a tweet to Diva Dirt, Lilian addresses the mishap:
Was told that it was going to be a triple threat so that’s what I announced. That’s live TV for ya. Have not checked out! Love my job.
It looks as though those of you who speculated that management is feeding her false info, could be onto something. After all, it’s not the first time they’ve ribbed stars on their way out i.e. Lita.
Lilian finishes up her historic WWE run next Monday night. There was talk of her hosting her final Raw, but they’ve already announced Cedric the Entertainer as next week’s guest host.

Good to know it wasn’t her fault. She probably gets wrongly blamed for a lot of announcing communication errors, since she’s in the forefront of it all.
I wonder if the original idea was to have a 3way dance? Jillian as the third, perhaps.
Seeing her live is something I will dearly miss and really regret not doing so more often when I had the chance. My point with that is that what is shown on TV is only a small part of what she does. She constantly intereacts with the announcers, camera operators and the technicians. But any last minute changes sometimes don’t make it to her. If you notice she carries a book with her that she has when she is sitting down. My guess is that this is the script for that nights program. So any last minute or unexpected changes can throw things off.
One incident I remember seeing though was at the Raw broadcast right after summerslam. Brian Kendric came out and did his thing, but Lilian and the other announcers were expecting his match to go longer than it actually did. The TV broadcast didn’t show it but Lilian was doing some fan interaction and got completely off guard by the abrupt ending to the match. she had to scramble back to her chair to get her microphone to announce the end of it because righ then as well, the broadcast went live again.
