Raw Diva, Rosa Mendes played the babyface last night in a house show match against Alicia Fox in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Rosa reportedly came out to Primo’s music and played the face, by slapping hands with the fans during her entrance. In the match however, she lost to the new#1 Contender for the Divas Title.
The night before, Alicia took on Gail Kim and usually they loop these matches for the entire weekend run, so I’m not sure where she was last night and there’s been no report of her getting hurt. As for Rosa, one could speculate that she may turn face on television to make up for Mickie James and Kelly Kelly’s current injuries.

I guess this makes sense. With a choice of Jillian, Beth and Rosa, only Rosa makes sense to turn.
I imagine WWE probably has plans for Beth as a heel, and Jillian is too over as a heel to turn face without any explanation.

Im guessing they need a new face jobber right now, and Kelly can’t fill in….so its Rosa’s turn. I like her managing Carlito though, i think they could have done a nice little storyline with Rosa and Carlito….but to get her face she could turn on Carlito and go from Primo….i suppose?

i did not see this coming,it will be odd to see rosa as a babyface(if she turns on TV) but I still think turning Jillian would have been a better choice

Maybe this would be a good thing…I at least would hope they would do a slow face turn for jillian…but maybe rosa being face will give her the credit she needs….

I expect that they probably had Kelly Kelly scheduled, but she was injured.
Enter Rosa.
If she’s valeting Carlito now, I doubt she’ll become a face.

hmm, when i first read the match report, i was hoping they were planning a face turn for alicia, not rosa. alicia, face champion – turn mickie psycho bitch. whatever happens, they definitely need to shake things up a bit. although i admit i’d rather see jillian as a face – and maybe getting a few wins in, too.

My guess is that with Kelly Kelly injured, Rosa Mendes was the only open Diva left. Therefore, she took the place of Kelly Kelly in her match-up against Kelly.

Rosa will not turn face on tv. This is just a one off for the purposes of fulfilling the match at the house show.
Also very much agree with the above comment bout jillian turning face, thatd be good

It makes sense for Rosa to make the turn, since Beth just had her little spat with Trish, and Alicia is the number one contender; that leaves Jillian, who is really the heel jobber. Plus, Rosa’s really the only one with a sort-of-maybe storyline in the Carlito/Primo angle.
Though I’d rather see Mickie back in the psycho heel role, and Jillian as a face…

Melanie i just read results from a recent house show on gerweck.net and it said Melina defeated “?” i dont know if its an new diva or somebody unknown to the average fan like katie lea. its hard not to know if the wrestler is michelle mccool natalya or even layla….i need to find out lol.

I think they are switching Rosa over to face as they are sorely lacking in that category. My real concern is where this leaves Ms. Kim in the pecking order not only on upcoming Raws but upcoming house Shows as well.
