Spoilers for the second night of Impact tapings are now out, courtesy of our TNA tapings correspondent Camden! These will air a week from Thursday (October 1st) on Spike. Click the ‘+’ to read:

Impact - October 1st, 2009
- Kong (w/ Raisha Saeed) vs ODB – Knockouts Championship match
Tara is at the commentating table. Saeed goes to Tara and interrupts her. Tara removes her headphones and goes after her.

As Tara walks towards the ring Kong reaches over the ropes and grabs her hair to pull her into the ring, but Tara counters and Kong hits the ropes and falls back. ODB grabs her for the pin.
Winner – ODB

Saeed and Kong leave while Tara and ODB exchange words in the ring. Kong runs back and attacks both girls, leaving them in the ring.

Later…

Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne come out and apologize to the fans and the Knockouts for their behavior the last year. Due to contractual agreement issues Angel is no longer with the TBP. They said Angelina made them monsters and everything they did was because of her. They called out Taylor and Sarita to apologize to them. They shook hands and as Sarita and Taylor walked away Velvet and Madison attacked them from behind and missed. Taylor and Sarita instantly counter and as they dominate TBP, Lacey comes in for the save and lays Taylor and Sarita out.

Thoughts after the cut:

Erin’s Thoughts
Are we looking at the makings of a triple threat feud for the Knockouts Championship? Sounds exciting, especially after the crappy excuse for a title feud that was OBD/Deaner.

Unique way for Lacey to debut, and its kind of shocking to see them acknowledge Angelina’s departure so directly, even though they probably didn’t have much of a choice. Oh, and I didn’t buy for a second that their apology was genuine. ;)

  1. WOW .. seeds planted for a possible face turn for Angelina Love, should she return to TNA Wrestling?! I also like how they are building towards two championship programs for the Knockouts at Bound for Glory. Knockout’s Champion ODB vs. Awesome Kong vs. Tara and Knockout’s Tag Team Champions Sarita & Taylor Wilde vs. The Beautiful People!!

  2. I had hoped that they would finally move towards the Kong-Tara match, but its looking to become a Kong-Tara-ODB match for BFG. Guess thats good, now that neither Kong or Tara has the title, adding ODB to it will raise the stakes of that match some. Kinda strange though, neither of the 3 is a “true” heel (yet).

  3. omg omg i cant wait for Lacey to debut =D

  4. looks awesome, can’t wait to see it.If i’m not mistaken, this is ODB’s first victory over kong so congrates to her,she finally slayed the giant

wait,so will it be Lacey and velvet vs. saritaylor or Velvet and madison vs. saritaylor at BFG,i hope it’s madison because then velvet and madison do have a chance at taking the gold but they won’t.Looks like a great debut for Lacey as she takes her new leadership spot in the Beautiful people, wonder how angelina will play into all of this when she returns, hopifully they’ll turn angelina babyface because she would make a great one

lol, madison and velvet tryed to attack saritaylor but missed and got beat up instead, looks funny and embarassing

  5. i’m quite pleased with this week’s impact tapings; both shows sound really good knockout-wise.

i’m sure them explaining angel’s absence is a good thing. surely they’d want you to just forget her asap? but i guess it’s much better than the non-acknowledgment jenna, salinas, jacqueline, gail or roxxi got.

i still have hopes for an angel return, her being backstage is good, right?

  6. I know I’m probably going to get heat with this, but I don’t have a problem with last month’s ODB/Deaner feud. I see the actual purpose it had.

You see, by basically holding up the Knockout title for a month it let everyone, fans and talent, focus on the new tag titles and the tournament. Sure it could have been done another way, but I understand why it happened.

  7. *Battle of Playboy Bunnies: Christy Hemme wins with rollup over Traci Brooks. Post-match Traci beats down Christy.

    That happpened, too.

  8. WOW, looks great for the Knockouts. Thankfully they’re pushing for a good match potentially between ODB/Tara/Kong. And no Deaner in sight!!

I’m really liking the sounds of Lacey Von Erich’s debut. Will be very excitied to see this one.

  9. Really looking forward to Kong vs. ODB

    and LVE… o: o: o: o: o: o: omg omg this is brilliant news.
all this recent news has sent me into a mark fest lmao
They hired someone who’s 500 times more as beautiful as Angelina to become the head possibly
not that I don’t like Angelina I just think that LVE will in the long term make a better fit.

but hopefully Velvet gets to be in charge or at least lead the group

  10. im glad madison and velvet can still be devious without miss love
cant wait to see lacey’s debute

  11. Getting thumbs downed because the spoilers aren’t complete (traci/christy) sure makes it feel like a popularity contest round here now.

  12. Battle of the Playboy bunnies? Oh, lord…. I suppose we should be thankful that they didn’t put that on the Bound for Glory card. Poor Traci; her push didn’t last long, did it? Not that I’m really complaining, but still…

Has anyone here seen Lacey Von Erich in the ring recently? It would be nice to know how good of a worker she is (or isn’t). The other day I saw a video of one of her matches where she was downright awful, but I don’t know when the match took place.

I’ll say this much, if that match was any indication then Lacey reeeeaaaally needs to work on her dropkicks. That’s all I’m going to say.

  13. Lacey is still green. She started wrestling in 2007.

  14. Ed, there’s no two ways about it, she’s an awful wrestler right now but hopefully TNA will get her training and she’ll be presentable in no time.

  15. To see how “dedicated” Lacey Von Erich really is, TNA should make her work on her off days with her fellow Knockouts (maybe Alissa Flash, Hamada, and Awesome Kong) to help her improve her in ring work. (While they are doing that, TNA should also make Christy Hemme, Traci Brooks, and Sojournor Bolt training on their off days as well)
