As you know, Diva Dirt got to speak to SHIMMER champion MsChif in an exclusive interview. When asked about her interest in WWE/TNA and her possibly going to either promotion, her answer raised a few eyebrows among the readers. MsChif read some of your comments and in an attempt to clarify her answers, issued a statement exclusively to Diva Dirt:

You know, I wonder if some can misinterpret the fact that I am not interested in WWE or TNA as not having a great interest in wrestling as a whole?  I just noticed that was one person’s comment.  I probably should have expanded that answer for sure.  The fact is, I love wrestling very much.  I also very much love my freedom in wrestling.  I like making my own decisions, I love having control of my own character.  I don’t want to have to be told what I can and can’t do.  The day I get too frustrated with wrestling, or lose the desire to be working shows is the day I would need to step aside.  I don’t ever see that happening, but if I were to sign with WWE or TNA I’m afraid that day would come and that would be very sad to me indeed.

For those who had doubts about MsChif’s passion for the sport, here’s proof otherwise. I guess we can never say MsChif doesn’t listen to the fans. For those in the Chicago area, check out ‘Your Soul’s Tormentor’ live at the next SHIMMER tapings this fall.

  1. MsChif is amazing talent. She is one of the female wrestlers I admire very much so.

  2. Oh, dear. I guess when I first said it I should’ve explained, it’s not so much her being disinterested in pro wrestling and treating it more as a hobby than a career, but I guess I just find it slightly.. abnormal(?) for somebody in the wrestling world to NOT want to be a part of nor interested in (she says she watches neither and doesn’t keep up with who of her friends work for which) one of the “best” wrestling companies. I mean, she definitely has passion, just comes across as slightly cold. Definite kudos to her, though.

  3. I love this response. I can’t even begin to tell you about the stuff we hear from Divas past and present, the frustration and paranoia that goes on in that lockerroom makes you wonder just how they manage to hang on. No wonder some of them get depressed or medicate themselves. That passion is quashed by politics, so I can 100% understand just why MsChif wouldn’t want to be part of it.

  4. “Best” is definitely best (lol) used in quotations here when referring to WWE and TNA. I don’t mean to be a total Internet mark with the “lulz WWE n TNA suXXX0rz!!!1!” but while she would obviously make more money by signing with them than she’s making now, I really doubt it would earn her much more respect. Respect which she has rightfully already earned by the heaps.

  5. lol why would someone think that not wanting to be in WWE or TNA means you dont like wrestling

after the things we have heard lately if i was a wrestler, i doubt i would want to join wwe,
and we’ll have to wait till shelly martinez’s interview befor i can answer about TNA XD
