Somebody pinch me, this match is too bad to be true. When it comes to backing horses, those of you who went with a fake blonde maned stallion named ‘Rosa Mendes‘, I’m sorry to break this to you — you’re out of pocket. Her match last night, her first in a long time [I wonder why] was peer-through-your-hands car crash television. In some ways actually, twas quite amusing. If this was a comedy, I certainly got my money’s worth with a few chuckles at Rosa’s expense. As beautiful as she is, she is just not good in the ring. Divas Champion, Mickie James, who seems to have an iffy chemistry with most wasn’t at the top of her game. Meanwhile No. 1 Contender, Alicia Fox looked hot at ringside & as dirty, pervy uncle Jerry Lawler put it: “How can evil look that good?”
As one reader pointed out, Mickie has had a longer working week than usual so was bound to be a little tired come Monday on Raw. That said, I can’t help but feel her chemistry somewhat lacks with certain opponents and I think Rosa is the latest name to add to that list. Then again, does Rosa have chemistry with anyone? To Rosa’s credit, I felt her selling was much stronger than before, especially at the end when she took the Long Kiss Goodnight. What’s not to Rosa’s credit, is the awful timing that was so painstakingly apparent — a girl does not just sit on you, Rosa.
We start off with a decent takedown by Mickie, into a leg scissors lock counter by Rosa. On commentary, we get the usual “I spoke to XYZ earlier today…” I’m sure you did, Michael Cole. Mickie comes back and hits an arm drag on Rosa & applies an arm lock, Rosa with a knee to Mickie and throws her in the corner but Mickie manages to stop herself. Rosa runs at Mickie, Mickie jumps over her and ends up kinda sitting on top of her. Lulz #1. Mickie hits a dropkick and then a single legged kick as Rosa kinda falls back and it looks silly. Lulz #2. At ringside, Alicia Fox exudes diva attitude [in the Maria sense] commanding Mickie’s attention, allowing Rosa to counter what I expect was a DDT. It doesn’t work however and she gets hit with a neckbreaker anyway.
A few forearms blah blah, Rosa begins to mount a comeback, grabbing Mickie by the hair and slamming her down. Rosa kicks Mickie in the back and apparently that is enough to put her away as she goes for the cover, err… Rosa then applies what is becoming her patented knee stretch. Another shot of the gorgeous Foxy at ringside, as she wills on Rosa & shoots a smirk at Mickie. Mickie mounts her comeback but is pushed into the corner as Rosa begins pounding into her with her shoulders. Mickie hits a nice legscissors which is sold well by Rosa. Rosa throws Mickie at the ropes, she slides through and then goes for a Thesz Press and Rosa just stays standing & Mickie ends up modifying it into a takeover. Lulz #3 & 4.
Alicia is up on the apron, Mickie grabs her hair, Rosa launches at her for a rope hanger thing but Mickie moves out of the way. Lulz #5 & 6 ensue as Rosa kinda buckles on the ropes and I’m pretty sure she hurt her vajayjay. Damn! Mickie hits an awesome Long Kiss Goodnight for the win.
A staredown between Mickie & Alicia, as we look forward to Hell in a Cell on Sunday. Oh man, I think ‘beautiful nightmare’ describes Rosa perfectly. Where was Jillian?
I’m utterly looking forward to Mickie & Alicia’s match this Sunday, I just hope the chemistry is there, we haven’t really seen them square off too much. They have been working together a lot this past week on the overseas tour, so let’s hope they become familiar with themselves by the pay per view. Alicia has come along so nicely, her in-ring ability is there and now she’s exuding a lot of that personality we saw in that post-Bash interview with Michelle McCool. ["OHMAGAWDDDD"] When she was first moved to Raw, I was certain she’d get lost in the shuffle with the Beths and Maryses, I didn’t think she’d rise to the top on this particular brand — especially this soon. it just seems funny to me that though the hating on Rosa continues, I’m sure within a year when she’s released you will be begging for an interview with her..
PS Did you know you had the Traci interview when you bashed her on the last Round Table?

We are not a fansite & we do not blindly appreciate everything we see. What is the point in that? We call it like we see it, always have and always will. those were also days when i waited whole week for the wwe divas matches between victoria trish jazz molly lita and gail kim.but now i hate raw divas matches this week match was awful rosa is just a piece of trash the match looked soooooooo much fake really.the finishing move of mickie was also awful it was to slow for three count. how i hate that blonde rosa madass.
NOw really i can proudly say TNA knouckouts are the best.

Lord have mercy. It is beyond me how rosa even made it too the main roster when there are plenty of girls in fcw that are 1000% better than her. WWE is so backwards they put a non wrestling girl in the ring over a seasoned diva i.e. jillian and expect to have a good match. SMH i really hope jillian does a batista and go to sd cuz she is under used and the singing gimmick is growing stale. Side note im excited for the alicia and mickie match even tho they may not utilize the cell in anyway.

Part of what makes Diva-Dirt better than fansites are that they aren’t all goo goo ga ga over everything. I love how they are honest and not try to cover things up no matter if they like the person or not. Anyways, the match was bad, but I’d honestly place the first lulz at Mickie, because the chick didn’t even try to jump up in the corner and shes a lot shorter than Rosa so Rosa had to try to duck out of it and it didn’t work. The other botches were solely Rosa though and I’m a fan of her but she’s not cut out for the Raw Division because she doesnt mesh with Mickie, she’d never be able to mesh with Gail, and Kelly’s too much of a spot diva to mesh with her. FCW is a nice mix for her because they’re people who are easy to work with imo. lmao at the beautiful nightmare comment xD It’s so true.

ps melanie-Jillian DID appear on Raw,it was close to 10:40ish when she appeared and like always,it was a singing segment(ugghhh),she was singing to the guest host Al Sharpton about him being her manager in singing and he said no(I know,I was also shocked,lol),then she said thank you and left politely.PLEASE NOTE:she acted very BABYFACE LIKE,she shook his hand and said thank you and left,does this mean something?I don’t know but it was great seeing her

As much as I love Rosa, she’s not the best wrestler in the world, lol. She should really stick to being a personality, until she’s better in the ring, at least. Mickie’s been having bad matches every now and then for a while though, it seems to me like she’s starting to slip.

Milena was my favourite in the diva search… She is gorgeous, an ok actress, she is unique in her own way. But she botches a lot. She should still be managing Beth or other wrestler!

I just think more of the “hating” needs to be put on the writers & the bookers and not the talent and their “weaves”! Obviously a better match would have been Alicia & Beth vs Mickie & Gail.. but I’m not gonna stop sticking up for the ridiculously hot Rosa, and as the ‘Commenting Rules’ state, “Debate is Welcome”.

Terrible match, which I’m really finding hard to accept. They have Beth, Jillian, Gail frickin’ Kim, yet they think putting this disaster on TV is a good idea? I would have preferred Alicia squashing Kelly and going in strong for the PPV (I mean, I doubt she’ll win the belt – too soon) and yeah, Kelly has a knee problem but it didn’t stop them forcing Maryse to work, did it? Unfortunately, I think I’m actually missing the overdone random multi-tag matches!! At least then the diva’s shoddy wrestling didn’t stand out so much
And Rosa’s hair.. does it really matter how it looks? Really?

Although I must say, your random observation wasn’t a good idea. It’s as if you were anticipating “hate mail”, which makes me think you were almost overly harsh on her on purpose or at the very least were aware of how it may look to readers.

This is just like with maryse. Everyone praised her for her looks and didn’t give a crap that she could not wrestle. Sure rosa is an attractive girl but last time i checked this was wrestling not lets see who’s the hottest diva. In my opinion rosa can’t wrestle, and if u were a true wrestling fan u would be able to admit that, no matter hoe hot she is.

What happend to Milena Roucka?? This match was painful to watch, miss Rosa Mendes really needs to step up her game, I know she can do average in the ring. Average ain’t what I’m aiming for, but at least it would be better then this Botchmania fest…
She -kind of- reminds me of Layla [please don't hate me ;P] when she started in ECW, she was damn slow in the ring, just like Rosa is now, both show a good heel attitude difference is Layla is now a great worker, she shows athletism and she’s a lot faster and looks way more comfortable. Rosa just looks like she can hurt herself, I was fearing for the worst during the whole thing, she just needs to go, unlike Layla [when she started] tho, I don’t see much potential anymore, which is always sad to say.
Rosa, this is your 2nd terrible WWE match [first beeing FCWs Gayda-style tag team match], please step up the game, don’t join Maria in the “lost causes” section…

Kaledrina — I barely said anything about Rosa’s hair this week other than one comment, which was in passing. So I find it both amusing & disturbing that you bring it up today of all days… And as I have told many people in the past, does anything on this site really matter? Hardly life & death stuff.
As for the ‘random observation’, well it’s more of a disclaimer really. It seems like we can’t have an opinion without being jumped on by marky fans for ~hating~ We have opinions and we voice them and judging from past experience, opinions on certain Divas lead to hate mail. I will not change my tone or ‘go easy’ on someone just because people can’t handle opinion, hence why I added the disclaimer. I wasn’t any more critical of Rosa [or anyone else for that matter] than I usually am and that will [and already has] lead to comments about ~bashing~ and ~hating~ Adding the disclaimer is my way of poking fun at those who take our comments so seriously and act like the world has ended & feel the need to attack us for it.

It wouldn’t be much fun reading or debating about womens wrestling on here if everyone agreed and was brown nosers to everyone all the time now would it?
We ALL criticise a particular Diva or Knockout at some point and find faults in them all. You must admit that Rosa isn’t good in the ring, she is better as a valet or manager to somebody because obviously she is nice to look at and fits that role better.
She’s was in developmental longer than a lot of the other women who were also called up before she was and after 3 years of being in WWE she still isn’t good in the ring.
I’d like her to go back to her natural black hair because I think it suits her better and I don’t like how she has dyed blonde hair and comes across to fans as “another blonde who can’t wrestle”.

FYI- Mickie James did not use The Long Kiss Goodnight, she hasn’t used it since WWE went PG. She used the Mick Kick. This match was terrible!! WWE seriously needs to stop hiring Models to wrestle! I think they should move Mickie to Smackdown so she can have new fueds with divas.

Alicia fox is nothing but a filler for the gone but not forgoten Maryse, the only reason she is getting a slight push is because well you know what i have no clue, sorry Melanie if wwe were really pushing her she would not be accompaning Rosa to the ring she would be over on the side line announcing the match and using her voice and personality to get hated more by the fans. Just look at last week when it was Beth vs Mickie and she came in and hit mickie from behind, again if wwe was wanting to push her longer and this feud longer they would have had her talk on the micraphone talking about how she would take that title away from Mickie,(example look at Melina vs McCool remeber when McCool talked on the mic about two months ago and guess what this feud is still going on) but no Alicia just held the title and got a boo or two from the audience, i fell after this ppv and after Mickie retains hopfully we may see Mayse come back she been gone since the end of July and Its going to be October so maybe or maybe not, but after Mickie wins Sunday Alicia will get pushed to the back of the divas locker room and another diva, if not maryse, will get a push hopeing for Jillian or Gail but have a felling after watching her polite persona last night Jillian will be turing face which could possibly give Gail the opportunity to turn heel and strick Mickie and her Butterfly Title…Be Jealous…:)

On to the Mickie and Alicia match this Sunday:……
I think with Alicia she can pull out the best in Mickie which Maryse and Rosa can’t. Alicia isn’t that green in the ring because her match with Gail was awersome and some of that match Alicia was the one carry Gail. I read a lot of forums and some people already have their opionion on this match ” this match going to suck” or “it going to be just a squash” or “yea Mickie but why Alicia?”. I just hopt Alicia can prove a lot of people wrong and have a great match.
I just hope Mickie and Alicia work togther before this Sunday just to practice the moves and for them to have more chemistry. Also, I hope this Alicia and Mickie thing isn’t over I want them to have a amazing feud.
I heard that Gail is going back to Smackdown and that Serena is going to Raw. I don’t know it’s true or not but I really hope so.

I’m sure anyone will tell Rosa to her face that she’s not exactly that good in the ring and is certainly a danger. Hell, I’m sure she would even agree. And if she wouldn’t than too bad for her. That’s on her if she thinks she’s trying the best that she can. But you guys certainly don’t have to get so sensitive about it and go arguing with other people for bashing your dear Rosa. It makes you look like groupies.

guys,i’ve been hearing this rumor that Gail is being sent back to SD and serena mancini is headed to Raw,i have no idea if this is true or not but it would solve some SD problems,i say send JILLIAN AND GAIL to smackdown and then WWE can shift whatever FCW girls they want to Raw.This rumor does make sence since michelles only opponent on SD is melina and with gail headed back,then michelle has another opponent and since gail is back on SD,raw would need a another babyface and serena does fit that bill so who knows

(QUEENOFXTREME)LITA – The fact is people are entitled to state their opinions, this is a site dedicated to women’s wrestling, which is done in blogs. Blogs are always going to be bias, and the blog writers are entitled to do that, plus get as poed as they please in their blogs. Don’t like it? Don’t read it.
It was pointless to even make a statement like that, where you’re basically telling both the blog writers and the commentors that they shouldn’t get poed, when they’re entitled to do so since the entire purpose of this site is to state opinions.

lol not a total Rosa mark and not calling anyone a hater from my post in the response thread if that is what I’m to be mentioned as. I just called it for what I seen it as. (I rarely post so it’s not like I say that same post week in and week out.)
Rosa should head to SD. I just think RAW is a bit too advanced for her. (Just as long as it isn’t the grave of ECW. Notice how they branded the Bellas’ there and they’ve been appearing on RAW more than anything?) Turning Rosa face and kinda making her that Madison Rayne-punching bag face/heel with a bit of personality (kinda like Alicia Fox was when the ‘fro first came to life) then kinda work her in with Melina if she goes face so that she could build something for herself in some sort of alignment. As I said before, she’s just an accessory on RAW.

WWEDivaFan09 yeah i get that but its so annoying when the same people are saying the same things week after week boo kelly kelly botched all her moves, boo Rosa mendez can’t wrestle, its like people have to realize that these five women, Rosa, Kelly, Maria and Brie/Nikkie bella are not going to go into the ring and have the match of the night. Its just gets to a certain point where one has to say well Maria is in this match it was bad okay bye. Not Maria was in this match why is she a wrestler? why is she is so bad? she need to be fired. It starts to become very repetative and annoying. Honestly with out Maria the wwe SD divas would not be as hot, With out Kelly Kelly the Raw division will not be as hot and wait wow ECW with out the Bellas would not be as hot. wwe divas have an order 1 is to look effing hot 2. is to have some wrestler ability and 3-…. is to look hot. When the wwe started hiring models before actual wrestlers who have trained for years, that should of been the time you started to take this wwe diva division not as seriously. See the light basically glowed above my head when Candice beat Melina at the ppv back in 07 for the womens title, thats when i said Hotness beats actual wrestler, so looks like you and most of these other people on this site need to learn a thing are two.
