Thanks to all of our readers who sent us the tip-off that this match is now on YouTube! The much anticipated ‘Queen of FCW’ [I guess that's their Women's Championship] match between Serena Mancini [since renamed Mia Mancini] and Savannah [then Angela Fong] aired last week with the rest of the FCW Divas sitting at ringside. They are: AJ Lee [April], Alicia Fox, Courtney Taylor, Jenny Cash, Liviana, Rosa Mendes and newcomer Trinity [McCray]. Check it out below:
So I don’t quite understand why the rest of the girls would need to sit at ringside, at least surround the ring like lumberjacks. This just looks dumb.
The match starts off fairly well with Serena overpowering her opponent with a belly-to-back takedown. Hey what do you know, they do the old “I talked to XYZ earlier today…” in FCW too. Eye roll. Serena takes down Angela and toys with her, asserting her heel-like authority over the reigning Queen. Angela fights back with forearms but gets thrown into the ropes, Serena goes for a hip-toss but Angela counters with a botched takedown… not sure exactly what she was going for. She follows through with an equally weak armdrag, before hitting a dropkick. Serena charges at Angela, Angela hits a drop-toe hold and then returns the favour from earlier by slapping Serena around the head.
A couple more [weak] armdrags, then a leap over Serena in the corner followed by Serena throwing her out of the ring. Back in the ring, Serena goes for quick covers but to no avail. Serena with shoulder tackles in the corner & then a hair toss. She then goes for a submission move, stretching Angela out who soon gains some traction but her momentum is stopped by Serena with another shoulder into the gut. She repeats a couple of times before Angela manages to muster a reverse backslide followed by a lovely kick to the face. The move leaves both Divas out on the canvas.
As the two Divas come to, Angela throws forearms at Serena then a kick to the stomach and a knee smash. Angela goes for a lovely tilt-a-whirl, moving into a crossbody from the top rope which is done nicely. We then see an exchange of reversals before Angela goes for a rollup. Serena kicks out and then sets up & hits the dominator for the win. That means Serena is crowned the new Queen of FCW.
Angela has perhaps been the most buzzed about Diva in FCW but unfortunately, this wasn’t her best outing. Her execution of certain moves wasn’t great and not in line with the buzz that’s surrounded her. Judging by that performance, I’m not convinced; she has had much better matches & that one was more on par with Rosa or Maria than Alicia or Eve, who she should be rivalling. Serena is a great worker already and I look forward to seeing her match with Natalya, I would argue that it’ll blow most of the main roster matches out of the water if they are really allowed to go. Even with WWE’s Diva restrictions, I expect it will be great.

angela was sloppy in this match.why does serena keep wearing that same outfit,i know she has more then that,i’ve seen her outfits
when is her match with natalya….?.
angela was called up to the roster around the time she dropped the crown to serena so maybe when WWE is ready to call up serena,she’ll drop the crown also but i don’t see serena being called up anytime soon.I still don’t like that serena is a heel and whats with the suspenders,it looks stupid

This was definatly not Angela or Serena’s finest match……they obvously dont mingle well in the ring together. I like the look of Trinity, she looks like she will bring something to fcw/wwe :)
That was,……erm…….interesting.Not exactly either girls best matchup,but not horrible.They definitiley need to work on their in-ring chemistry,
The first half was weak but that last sequence where Angela finally came back towards the end was nice. It’s one of those things where i feel like these two just have to feel each other out more. I’m sure Angela can do way better, Serena was good as always. Once these two spend more time in the ring with each other I’ll bet they’ll put on some fun matches. Angela’s best matches have been with Alicia Fox who for some reason seems to have the natural ability even at this stage in her career to carry people and sell like crazy kinda like the female d=Dolph Ziggler. But that’s more then likely due to the fact that they probably train together a lot and “know” each other well around the ring. Other then that can we say Miss Trinity caught my eye right away, has me eager to see what she does down in FCW.
Not as clean as I hoped for, but for their first official one on one, Serena and Angela did pretty okay. Not going to bash Angela because she’s still a rookie and there’s still time to improve. Serena was on point for the most part. Seemed a little hesitant when taking the first couple of armdrags, but it’s all good. Just gotta say, I loved Angela’s ring gear. Serena should do her other finisher. That one looked pretty dope. And April looks so fragile. Can’t wait to see her in action.
I thought this might have been Angela’s worst match. I didn’t understand why all the divas were sitting ringside either.
also..does anyone know what the deal is with Jemma Palmer & Rachael Carr? are they still with the WWE or not?
It was an ok match I was suprised that Angela was so sloppy, she picked up toward the end though. Here I blame lack of chemistry. I do have to say that the crossbody Angela executed was near-perfect.
WTF is up with Serena’s Mafia/Godfather style music? Made me laugh…
Also, can someone tell me why the No.1 Contender to the Divas Title is still in FCW? Hm?
And to Anthony, I don’t think Rachael Carr is with the WWE anymore, but I’m not sure about Jemma Palmer.

See it as an demonstration match. They had to sit there and learn from Serena ;-)
It was a nice match compared to the usual crap we see on WWE/TNA, but definately not their best work sofar, especially if you compare it to the Serena-Sara del Rey match (probably best match of 2009 sofar). And Angela did look kinda sloppy here, but she hasnt wrestled much since she moved to ECW, and never worked with Serena before, so thats a valid excuse. But i do hope both move to the main roster asap.
Seriously, why don’t they throw that crown to the trash? it looks ridiculous. Congrats to Serena; she deserves it! The match was OK, a lot of botches from Angela.
Is it me or do the brunettes look like sisters? Trinity McCay (the other black girl) is FINE, but not as fine as my girl FOXY! There’s a feud I want to see, battle of the BLACK GIRLS!
Wes, why is she on vacation when she just got called to the main roster, plus why did? they choose her? She is the same level to Rosa.
