More Diva footage from SmackDown vs Raw 2010 has been released! As has been widely talked about, the Divas will finally get their own ‘Road to WrestleMania’ storyline in this year’s game, well rather, Mickie James will. Footage of her storyline can be seen below, including her and Maryse cutting a promo with The Miz:

The Maryse voice is perfect, I’m guessing she herself lent her voice to this.
The Mickie voice sounded nothing like her though.
Poor Maryse, whoever was controlling her in that demo wasn’t doing a very good job with her.

Yes, the voices are their own. Their bodies/face also get scanned as do their outfits. The only things they don’t do is the mo-capping of movement. For instance, I’m pretty sure it is actually Evan Bourne who did the mo-capping for Melina’s split leg drop ddt.
I’m disappointed with some of the new restrictions they’ve out on this game (no male vs female matches, for instane) but I really can’t wait for my Natalya vs Beth cage match

The only downfall to the game is the man on woman action. I played SvR 09 on Sunday, and I played career mode with Melina, and I won every title with her, even the male’s titles. So much for the Melina/Morrison pair.
What I don’t get is why does WWE make so many restrictions on a video game, like only have the women compete in singles and tag matches, no diva story modes, and a new one they come up with for 2010, which is CAW limitations on online play. For example, if someone created a CAW of Awesome Kong or Victoria, the game will scan for the characters and will not be used online.
COME ON WWE, IT’S JUST A VIDEO GAME!!!!! We create our own matches, with our own restrictions. Don’t take away our rights to put who against who in a game.
BTW, the only positive in 2010 is that we can FINALLY use the divas in Extreme stipulated matches (Cage Match, TLC, Hell in a Cell, First Blood?, and Elimination Chamber). THAT’s THE ONLY POSITIVE!

Hearing about all these restrictions makes me miss the old No Way out for N64 and the smackdown just bring it game, WWE games used to be so awesome.
