The Divas Championship has changed hands not once, but twice in an unfathomable episode of Raw. [Still in shock!] Jillian and Melina became the fourth and fifth Divas Champions, respectively.
Jillian defeated Mickie James in a short singles match to take the title and can now claim that in her long five year career, she has held a major championship. [Happy now, Jillian fans?] Afterwards, Guest Host Nancy O’Dell announced a Diva trade which saw Melina being traded back to Raw. O’Dell gave Melina a Divas Championship match, which was even shorter than the one prior; Melina pinned Jillian with the Last Call to become the third woman to hold the Women’s & Divas Championship.
Needless to say, this whole situation is mind blowingly… er, mind blowing.
The full details of the Diva trade will be announced after Raw on WWE.com, however already announced is that Beth Phoenix has been traded to SmackDown.

CRAZY!!!!!!! lol. idk waht to even say, like you said “happy now jillian fans” its like yes and no, at least now we can say she finally got a shot at the title, and she actually won! but a 4 minute reign sucks! i love melina so im happy with her being champ too, but hopefully this just means a melina/jillian fued which should be pretty awesome cause in the past they’ve always worked pretty good together

I was screaming my fucking head off when she got that three count. Its like they go out of their way to make Jillian look like a fool and its not okay. She needs to stand up for herself dammit. Its been 4 years of complete humiliation for her and she’s let it go on and on. I see absolutely NO light at the end of the dark, WWE tunnel for her and I hope she sees the same. I don’t hate Melina, but in all honesty, I’m sick of her holding a championship belt right now. Jillian should have kept that title longer than what she was given. And right now, given the state of RAW, Melina might have that belt for a while.
I was really glad when Jillian won! She really deserved the title! But once Nancy O’Dell came out, I was thinking that Maryse would come out and challenge Jillian! I’m so sure that it’ll be Melina vs. Maryse!

Jillian got massively screwed. And it seems like Melina really was sorry, since her and Jillian are friends backstage. Best case scenario, a good feud comes out of this. But probably not. Jill will be back to jobbing. Ugh…
Jillian fans should not be happy with this. She was treated as a joke once again. She hadn’t won in forever and gets a title shot out of nowhere. Sure, she wins, but it’s made very clear she shouldn’t have since Mickie’s foot was on the rope. Than she sings, and Melina comes out and ends the reign in four minutes.
There’s not a Melina-Jillian feud coming, I fear. At least she gets to claim she was a champion.
I’m surprised anyone would be happy for Jillian here. She won the title in a crappy one minute match with a cheap finish and then lost it four minutes later after an even worse 30 second match. She was yet again the butt of the joke and even moreso than usual and now she goes back to being a nothing jobber. That sucks.
This was a TRAVESTY! I’m not freakin’ happy because once again Jillian has been ridiculed by the WWE. I agree with Matt I don’t see how anyone can be happy for Jillian. She jobbed again people. This taste of gold is like giving a parched person a drop of water, it’s terrible.

melina looked like she didn’t even want the title, she looked more like she felt bad for taking that moment from jillian. i wonder how melina feels about leaving john morrison. she starting looking great on smackdown too. the whole womans/divas division didn’t need this much revision espacially in one night

i agree 100% that as I JIllian fan, i am extremely upset!!! When i saw on divadirt that she won the title i marked the fuck out! but then i saw that Melina did too and i seriously hoped that it was the other way around!! Its just not fair that they did that to her! It wouldve made sense 2 have Beth come out n interfere and cost Melina the match since shes leaving for Smackdown or even have Alicia come out n do it…i just dont think it was fair to have her lose the title MINUTES after losing it. at least give her the same courtesy as Cena and wait for the next major ppv to lose it! But her reaction to winning the title was priceless!! I rewinded that moment so many times because that is the epitome of championship win and a reaction like that made me proud to witness that moment!! WHen the new match started, it looked like she was being forced to give away her baby lol and for some strange reason, i dont think that was acting cuz she seemed like that title meant the world to her (or it must be some great acting!!)..but when Melina won, u can tell she wasnt too pleased…i honestly feel like she didnt wana take that moment from Jillian but had 2 do her job nonetheless…now i feel like Jillian will get a rematch eventually but knowing WWE”s stupid logic, this is a setup to have Melina drop the title to Maryse (who i love but i dont think she deserves another run anytime soon) and have Maryse drop it to Eve.

I’m shocked that Jillian did get an albeit brief reign as Divas Champion – we don’t get Raw in New Zealand until Friday night. Going by the poll that was on the Divas section on wwe.com lately, Jillian was the number one contender in the fans’ eyes. Admittedly, I didn’t vote for Jillian in said poll but still, I’m shocked.
In 5 minutes time, WWE not only confirmed that Jillian is only there as a jobber, but they also destroyed the credibility of the Diva title and Mickey James. As a Shimmer/Indy fan I am starting to wonder why i am wasting my time every Monday watching this crap.
And Jillian fans (like myself) cant really complain. She is hired by WWE to job, she knows it and she is content with it, else she would’ve left already. So unless WWE fires her, it’s unlikely she will go to TNA.
this is why i prefer watching TNA now… I only watch WWE to see if maybe the product will get any better but i dont see it happening anytime soon… hopefully the trades will bring something out of it….

It annoys me because a lot of the little brats who watch WWE only think of Jillian as the girl who can’t sing, when the real fans know of her wrestling background and ability, she is a ring veteran and yet they still feel the need to make her look a fool because they want to constantly put over women such as Melina.
This is why women who were part of WWE end up in TNA – they actually get to showcase themselves the right way and for what they are good at – just look at Tara aka Victoria as a perfect example of that.
I so hate it when a title changes its owners so often.

The problem is, TNA has become almost as bad as WWE. Not entirely as bad, but almost. The Cody/ODB situation, the Sharmell-Jenna match on a PPV, the playboy bunny match between Traci/Christy. And dont forget the many random matchups. Or the average lengh of the matches who went down a lot. Last taping they had 3 matches within 10 minutes. And lets not start with the jobbing of Daffney, Madison and Alissa, who are the Jillian, Katie and Natalya of TNA. In 2009 TNA is no longer what it used to be in 2007/2008. Their roster is still better than WWE, but unless Alissa, Sarita and Hamada are in the ring their matches havent really impressed me. Although i am used to Shimmer/Joshi-quality, so maybe i am too harsh on them.

Just because they remove their PG rating doesnt mean you are going to see hardcore matches, they only did that like once every 6 months or so. Removing the PG rating will mean that we are going back to the lingerie/nightgown-matches, or pillow fights. The PG rating has actually forced WWE to use more actual wrestling in the diva matches. All WWE need is to have more faith in their divas and allow them to showcase all their moves, just like they did in OVW, but the PG rating has nothing to do with that.

Couldn’t say it better, I didn’t find out that Melina defeated Jillian for the title in the same night, now that I know I feel like WWE is just giving us true wrestling fans what we want, but just for a minute, later they have the top face win the belt in like two seconds. This made Jillian look even weaker, shame on you WWE, you shitfaces!! Jillian is officially one of the most underrated talents in the WORLD, even more underrated then Regina Spektor!
When I saw Jillian win I literally freaked out. The people next to me were like “what the heck is wrong with you!?” And I just jumped up and down and cheered. Even her horrible singing couldn’t ruin it… Then Nancy O’Dell and Melina came out.
Melina looked really sorry about taking the championship and she mouthed it to Jillian a few times as well. Jillian’s face looked too sad for it all to be just an act. Seriously though I hate how she’s treated when she has more in-ring skills and talent than certain Divas on the roster right now.
