Nearly two months following her TNA release, ex-Knockouts Champion Angelina Love (Angel Williams) has reportedly booked her first post-TNA match. She is scheduled to face SHIMMER star, Mercedes Martinez on November 14th in New Jersey.
In an update to her TNA status, sadly, there really isn’t one. A couple of weeks ago, Diva Dirt first learned that TNA management had no plans to bring back Williams and unfortunately, that piece of news is recurring throughout all the people we’ve spoken to. Speaking as a viewer, the move makes no sense as Williams truly was the standout star of the Beautiful People stable and one of the top heels in the company — not just the Knockouts division.
We have heard from more than one person that Angel did have something of a reputation for thinking highly of herself and her ability, which rubbed some the wrong way.
There’s an underlying story that we haven’t corroborated but is making the rounds backstage, which if true, is a shocker.
I truly hope TNA wise up and see sense here because this girl is too good to let slip through the cracks. Having an ego isn’t exactly stopping some of the men, and it isn’t as though Williams doesn’t deliver the goods.

If she’s booked to wrestle in America clearly there was more to her her release than visa issues. It’s been over a month and she still lives in the States.
Assuming the visa issues get fully sorted out, TNA are gonna dumb as hell to not actively get back in contact with her and re-sign her. After last night at BFG, The Beautiful People are truly lost without her.
Didn’t they force Lacey to apologize to Angelina? Why would they do that if they don’t want Angelina back?
Anyways if this is true then TNA is dumb, they bribe boring ODB with the KO belt because they want her to stay but they don’t want their biggest female star back..

As much as I’d like her to join the WWE now, as she is so good at what she does, I doubt that’ll happen, and even if she did, she may get lost in the diva shuffle.

That’s kind of shocking, but this is par for the course in TNA. Angelina may have an ego, but you would think that could be dealt with internally. She’s the best heel in the women’s division, and one of the best in the company overall. Without her, the Beautiful people serve no purpose. LVE and Velvet don’t have the same chemistry as Angelina and Velvet, and Madison has never really fit in.
They act as if none of the other knockouts or wwe divas have egos at least she’s not walking up to other knockouts and saying she thinks shes better than them and picking fights like Sable or at least I hope its not that out of control.
The ego reports started on the net in force after the Lacey interview. Makes them quite suspicious in terms of how much there is based on net reports being run with,as opposed to anything truly objectionable or substantance backed.
Not sure about this booking,either. Angelina was supposedly booked to face Brooke Carter on Long Island next weekend,only to be replaced by Velvet Sky in the ads.
Considering some of the people who have been on TNA’s roster,both in terms of egos and lack of talent,something seems fishy. It also seems a bit early for her to have her visa issues worked out if they were only being sorted starting in September.
I miss her alot. She really needs to return, TNA is making a really stupid move if they don’t resign her. It feels like is something is missing from the product without her there.
She needs to return asap. The Beautiful People should be Angelina, Velvet, and Lacey.
honestly,i really don’t care if angelina comes back or not,she never really interested me and she kinda made herself ugly throughtout her tenure in TNA,when she debuted around 2007,angelina was dropdead gorgeous but then as time went on,she messed her hair up,put the clown makeup on,and looked like she dressed in the dark and that just runied her for me
Velvet and Lacey are very good in the beautiful people,madison never really fit in,she looks way to uncomfortable doing all those skanky BP poses,she looks like she’s dying to be babyface
The excess makeup is part of the act. Hence why she isn’t as heavily made up in private photos. And really,putting a person’s act makeup ahead of their performances or substance? And people criticize the WWE for the fluff angle?
Lacey is not ready to be a major productive contributor to a high profile act in a notable fed. She doesn’t have the chemistry with Velvet,either.

This is my opinion, but I think the KO division has sort of fallen since Jeff J. left.
And the makeup is HoT! Over the top and smoldering as heck, just like the TBP was back when A-Love was there.
If she is booked to appear in the US presumably her visa problems are resolved. If so TNA should rehire her as soon as possible and reunite her with Velvet in the original and best TBP. Then they could go hunting after Sarita/Taylor for the tag title.
