I watched the first video from the beginning and I think it’s so cool that Natalya is in the middle of a group of guys and actually gets to speak! Mae Young slapping Michelle McCool left me speechless for a minute. Layla and Mickie James put on a show. I have respect for Layla. She wasn’t thrown around easily.

I was wondering the same thing Mr.Glamazon regaurding SS this year. I’m assuming Natalya is out of the title picture since she has not done anything relating to the Women’s or Diva’s titles for the past year or more.

I was kinda shocked tonight how damn hot Layla looked in the pink…whew. Read a few of your posts re: Beth turning face….anything that puts the belt around her waist is good with me! Mickie-Michelle-Beth at Survivor Series would work. Does it have to be a 5-on-5 Divas match there???

Layla was better than Alicia and Maryse in handling Mickie. Still I feel like I am having buffering every time I watch Mickie’s move. She lost her sense of quickness, it is always one second late.

I can’t tell if smackdown is trying to establish Layla as a main competitor or if they are still just using her as bait to build up the “serious” matches. I really wish they would take Layla more seriously (maybe let her win once in a while) because Michelle needs a strong diva by her side, and I think it’s apparent that Beth and Michelle aren’t gonna be the best of buddies.

Ten years ago, Mae Young was powerbombed through the stage by the dudleys for absolutely no reason whatsoever; nowadays, after a humiliating slap by Mae Young, your top female heel does nothing in retaliation, not even an angry stare, and just leaves in a lame way. O tempora, o mores.
The match was decent, but is it me or Layla looked like the better of the two in it ?…
As for Mickie’s and Lita’s title reigns, it doesn’t matter, really. Lita’s contribution to wrestling certainly doesn’t lie in her four very short runs with the women’s belt.

Meh.Not bad.The backstage segment was hilarious,and the match,well,yeah….

Mickie and Layla have iffy chemistry,but overall,not a bad match.It wasn’t what I was expecting, though.From the spoilers,I thought it was going to be an amazing match,but no.

Not a bad match. Hopefully, the Mickie-Layla pairing won’t be repeated as frequently as Melina-Layla was as I hate seeing a good pairing become tiresome due to repeating the match over and over.

mae young is just the cutest thing ever,the slap to michelle was funny because michelle knew she couldn’t strike back

mickies entrance still looks like she’s on Raw,it felt like she was still on Raw until you saw the blue ropes,her match with layla didn’t interest me at all,I like mickie but her she keeps doing the same stuff every match

Mickie should NEVER win the womens title again,thats not fair to Lita,I think mickie should just be finished with titles altogether,she doesn’t need them,she has nothing to prove

i hope Beth turns babyface,her backstage acting looked very babyface like

I think Smackdown just has the better quality of wrestling. Even with Alicia Fox, Melina & Gail Kim getting revolved through the door. I don’t think it has anything to do with the performers though. Smackdown just seems to be at a place where women wrestlers can improve comfortable, show what they have and have a decent match. I can recall one bad match on Smackdown ( Melina Vs Michelle McCool/Interpromotional Lumberjack) while on RAW – there has been plenty. And it probably can be attributed to many things – the stress of a live show, rushed segments, lack of booking attention, HHH/HBK’s influence (majority of the show is about them), etc. We don’t see that on Smackdown and that’s what I like about it. The Divas as a whole are still lacking direction, but there’s no denying that Smackdown is at least a fraction ahead.

Charlierouge is right Mickie dosent need to do her regular routine of moves to put on a good match , all she needed was a boost and i hope she continues to do this.

Layla did good as always , the match was a little slow paced. Other than that the Match was good and so was the backstage segement

In fairness, I can’t remember the last SD diva match that lasted longer than 3 minutes either, and they’re supposed to have the more important Womens title, they’ve been just as bad as RAW in recent months, hopefully things will get better with this trade though.

I think SD needs a new champion at this point to shake things up, but Mickie has already had so many title reigns in the past year or so, I’d love to see Natalya with it but that seems unlikely right now, maybe a Beth run as a face could be the way to go?

This match should prove to Mickie’s critics that she doesn’t need her usual spots (Turnbuckle Hurrcarranna, Diving Thez Press, DDT) to put on a good match, and except for the sidewalk slam biff up this was a good match. I’m so happy for Mickie and Beth and I hope to see both of them reign as WWE Women’s Champion soon.

And if the Divas Team Smackdown doesn’t win this Sunday thats BULLSHIT!! They are the better team of wrestlers. So I’m all for team Smackdown! And I hope it ends with Michelle pining Melina, lets let the feud end now. :)

The segment was lame especially if it’s the last time we see them before the match. That slap looked ridiculous & not in a good way. It was just stupid.

I didn’t much care for the match either & I heard that it was prety dead.

I’m already loving Smackdown. Melina, Gail Kim and Alicia Fox – I love them to death but the way RAW is handling WWE women matches (3 minute crapfest) isn’t going to get me interested enough to care anymore.
