We’re again bringing you a special edition of Unwrapped, where we cover multi-Diva shoots in a miniaturized version of our regular “unwrappings”, focusing on the looks and ensembles our Divas have put together. Today, as it is Halloween, our “Eye Candy” will be the kind associated with jack-o-lanterns and bags of sweets. We are looking at the 3-part “Scream Queens” photoshoot, in which the Divas show off their Halloween costumes. Click the following links to see the full photoshoots: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
Alicia Fox
Costume: Vampire
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 7. A vampire is one of the most cliche Halloween costumes, sure, but I like that she put some effort into it, wearing a cape and fangs and not being too concerned with looking sexy. Her poses are cool too, and make what could be a rather bland costume pretty exciting. Bonus points for looking a like an old school vampire, too.
Grade: Sweet. She looks cute and the extra thought put into it–not just plastic fangs and lingerie–makes it interesting.

Beth Phoenix
Costume: Nurse
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 1. Talk about cliche–what’s a more cheesy “sexy” costume than a nurse? Frankly, I expected better from Beth, but she seems content to pose in a skanky costume suggestively holding a stethoscope. Come on Beth, I didn’t think you were that uncreative.
Grade: Sour. This looks so strange on Beth. It’s just not “like” her, if you get my drift, and this is not an instance where that would be a good thing.

Brie & Nikki Bella
Costume: Belly dancers
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 4. The sexy “belly dancer” costume is pretty cliche, especially in so scantily clad a fashion. But hey, it’s kind of cool, what with all the veils and such. There’s more to it than other “sexy” costumes.
Grade: Bland. It’s not original by any means, but they certainly look cute. There’s just so much potential with twin costumes, and they sort of dropped the ball on this one.

Read on to see the rest of the Divas’ costumes and vote for your favorite.

Eve Torres
Costume: A ninja
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 8. It’s a cool, bad ass costume, and it’s not really sluttied up. It shows enough skin to be sexy, but it doesn’t look over-the-top to me.
Grade: Sweet. It may not be feasible for ninja fights, but hey, she looks cute.

Gail Kim
Costume: An Air Force officer (?)
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 2. I’m not 100% sure she’s in an Air Force officer costume, but the logo looks like the Air Force wings, so I’m going with it. Either way, it’s a cheap slutty costume you could find at any costume shop. It takes no creativity or thought to slap on a military-inspired costume with a super short skirt. Lame.
Grade: Sour. Like Beth, I expected more creativity out of Gail. I guess it’s because she’s a wrestler rather than a T&A chick, but that’s probably flawed logic, because being able to wrestle doesn’t automatically grant you creativity.

Jillian
Costume: An electric guitar
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 10. This is so off-the-wall that I love it. The “hat” seals the deal. It kind of goes with her goofy character, too, so bonus points for that. I love it when a Diva (see Victoria) isn’t afraid to look goofy–it shows that she doesn’t take herself too seriously. A+, Jillian.
Grade: Sweet. I love that she’s “playing” the chords on her top. It would’ve been funny to see a photo of her really shredding.

Katie Lea
Costume: A witch
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 4. Pretty damn cliche. Girls of all ages can wear this costume–I did way too many times as a kid–so it’s easily one of the most over-done ones. The execution could definitely be worse, since Katie Lea’s actually wearing a full dress and looks more witchy than a girl in her underwear would. Still, when every grade school teacher in America is also wearing your costume, you know you’re not really putting your creativity to work.
Grade: Bland. Like I said, it could be worse. It’s cliche, but she looks pretty good in it.

Kelly Kelly
Costume: ???
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 1. I’ll be honest–I have no clue what Kelly’s wearing. But, from inspecting the draped section of the dress, I’m gonna guess must be something Grecian. Still, it looks like she took a white mini dress and a shiny gold scarf and just did some wrapping around her torso and head. You know a costume is a dud when it’s completely undecipherable, unless it’s from obscure literature or something. Though, I have a feeling that she wouldn’t think that far into it to choose such an obscure costume–she;s never displayed that kind of effort before.
Grade: Sour. Her stony expressions don’t help matters–she’s looking more and more like a mannequin as every photoshoot passes by. Any guesses as to what her costume actually is? Help us crack the puzzle!

Layla
Costume: Michael Jackson
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 8. While there will probably be plenty of people dressing up as the late King of Pop, it’s still a creative costume. There’s different elements to put together, and Layla did it pretty well, even though I don’t think Michael was too fond of wearing belly shirts. It’s sort of goofy, yet fun. Plus, we all know Layla’s got a background in dancing, so it’s not a completely random costume choice.
Grade: Sweet. Her moves may not be up to par with Michael’s moonwalk, but there’s no other Diva better suited to don the sparkly glove.

Melina
Costume: Marie Antoinette
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 8. The outfit, with its thigh-high stockings and super short dress, may be more “little bo peep” than Marie Antoinette, but portraying the Queen of France is a quirky choice. Adding to this quirk is the mannequin head, which I assume is a reference to her eventual execution by guillotine. The wig is silly, but its sky-high quality makes the resemblance to Marie unmistakable. The whole look is over-the-top, but that’s just evidence to all the thought that was put into it.
Grade: Sweet. I love historical figures, so it’s cool to see a Diva play tribute to one, in however goofy the fashion.

Michelle McCool
Costume: The devil
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 3. The sexy “angel/devil” dichotomy is done to death, and is in no way creative, but the way Michelle styles it makes it a little interesting. The bodysuit is a different way to do it, and it perfectly matches the headband with its red sparkly pattern, which pulls it together nicely. I just like the punch of that red color, I guess. I love her shoes, too, so there’s always that. It’s still a massively uncreative costume though, even if you’re a heel/”bad girl”.
Grade: Bland. I hate to break it to you, Michelle, but that pitchfork doesn’t look all that effective. You’re not going to be doing a lot of stabbing with that one.

Mickie James
Costume: Elektra, the comic book character and deadly assassin.
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 8. I’m partial to comic book references, so it was really cool to see Mickie portray a character that’s kind of obscure in the mainstream–that is to say she’s not as cliche as Wonder Woman. Elektra’s a bad ass chick, so there no better female comic book character for a Diva to play, in my opinion. It’s a pretty inspired choice, I’ve gotta say.
Grade: Sweet. It may not be a Grade A Elektra costume, but she looks cute in it, and her little two-bladed sai are posed to perfection. Is a duel with Jennifer Garner in order?

Natalya
Costume: A matador (bullfighter).
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 9. You don’t see many matadors running around on Halloween, do you? This is a pretty cool and unique costume, especially on a woman. Natalya waves the red flag and wears a form of the traditional bullfighter coat. It’s not even close to an accurate portrayal of the uniform, it doesn’t look too “slutted up”.
Grade: Sweet. I gotta give Natalya props for choosing a rather unexpected costume. It’s not one of the regular occupations you see made “sexy” on Halloween, so kudos for making a somewhat original choice.

Rosa Mendes
Costume: A matador (bullfighter).
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 6. I’ve got to be honest–I’m not completely sure what she was going for on this one. I assume it’s a Spanish dancer, but I could be wrong. She looks super sexy, though, and not in a cheap way. The way she poses with her fan certainly sells it. Over all, it just seems like an excuse to wear a skimpy costume, but I like the flavor in it.
Grade: Bland. There’s not much to it, costume-wise. It’d probably be just as good in a fancy photoshoot. Here it just seems like a wasted opportunity.

Savannah
Costume: An angel.
Creativity (on a scale of 1-10): 2. Pretty much on par with the “devil” costume in that it’s dripping with cliche. This one doesn’t even look that remarkable. At least Michelle put a little spin on it. Here, Savannah looks like she chose the most obvious costume imaginable and threw it on at the last minute. If you wanted to be a bit controversial, put on a nun costume or something–at least that one would’ve been interesting.
Grade: Sour. Utterly boring and uninspired. Not a good first impression, Savannah!

Now that you’ve gotten our perspective, which Diva’s costume do you like best? Vote in the poll below and sing your song in the comments!

Alicia looked the best in my opinion, it’s creative, cute and it fits her character well, the poses of course, only help the fabulousness of it!
Layla, of course, looks really good. Jillian deserves kudos for the creativity. Melina looked also goofy, yet cute as hell. Mickie looked good. Natalya was also good.
Eve looks much worse then Lena Yada as a ninja. Gail Kim looks blah as blah can be. I don’t know if Beth is going for funny or disturbing, both work tbh.
And I’m pretty sure Kelly is dressed as a statue…

I think Kelly may be some kind of goddess, though I’m not sure which type. (Greek, roman…)

I have no clue what Kelly’s outfit is but its easily my favorite because it made me laugh for like 10 minutes!

My favorite out of all the scream queens shoots was Eve. She looked beyond gorgeous as a ninja and i just loved the poses and the whole shoot together. A lot better then Lena Yada as a ninja IMO. My 2nd favorite was Mickie. She was absolutely gorgeous as Elektra. 3rd fav was Melina. Marie Antoinette was very unique and i loved how she pulled it off. Layla was my 4th fav. She pulled off MJ really well and looked really good.
A-Fox looked fierce as a vampire. Loved the scenery and poses in it. Beth…well as much as a sexy nurse costume is cheesy, you gotta admit she did look gorgeous just by the poses. Jillian was very creative with the whole guitar thing. TBH i kinda laughed at first when i saw it but she looked really great.
Gail looked nice. I liked the poses and the scenery.
I actually liked Savannah’s. It was very cute.
Bella Twins…ehh. It was an okay shoot from them.
Katie as a witch…not really a surprise. I liked her vampire costume better.
Rosa looked nice but i didn’t like the shoot at all
Natalya IMO could have done a lot better. I mean she was wearing her wrestling boots and it was just bland and boring to me.
Kelly, i tweeted to you guys that it appears that she’s a greak goddess. Same old Kelly with shoots as in bland and boring. The girl needs to work on her poses.
I did like Michelle’s devil costume.

hmm me and my a-fox got our capes from the same place…..Walmart hahaha

I personally felt Melina and Kelly had the worst. I know Melina was dressing up for Halloween but it just doesn’t look good on her at all. Kelly… could you be anymore god awful boring? All she does is stand there and smile.
Best ones were Jillian and Alicia. Alicia’s really was done well. Posing in front of the graveyard setting matches her costume well and her poses were on point. Jillian simply looks awesome.
The rest were very stupid and uncreative. Very boring costumes this year.

November 1, 2009 at 7:46 pm
No Maria? I was looking forward to seeing what she concocted this year…
November 1, 2009 at 10:39 pm
I thought Beth looked great, I loved seeing that side of her, I thought it was fun and she looked amazing in the outfit. I liked how it wasn’t what you’d expect her to wear – something like the warrior woman outfit she has worn for a costume contest WWE did before.
Jillian’s outfit definitely gets my vote as the best one because she looks so cute and it suits her singing gimmick and I love how the top of the guitar is on her head, it’s such a fun outfit.
November 2, 2009 at 2:16 am
Just so everyone knows a “Spanish dancer” is a Flamenco dancer. I’m taking Spanish so sorry. It was bugging me. I liked everyone’s outfit except for Kelly Kelly’s and Savannah’s.

Lol, I like that Alicia is vampire doing an outside photoshoot during the day.
