Last night on Raw, WWE announced that Alicia Fox will receive her Divas Championship match against Melina next week on Raw. The show emanates from Madison Square Garden.
With a Survivor Series match already announced, I’m excited to see them announce this match prior and have it occur on the MSG ‘homecoming’ — giving it a pay per view like feel.
Now the question is: “Can Alicia win the title?”

NOPE,Melina hasn’t even wrestlered on Raw in the past 2 weeks and with maryses return shining on us,theres no way alicia will win the title,next week is so obvious

Can Alicia win? I’m not sure, her and Melina have good chemistry but Melina needs to hold the title longer.

RKOyou it seems as if WWE are planning to give Maryse a fued with Eve if she as to return. Because Eve is being troubled by The Miz and Maryse and Miz have unfinished buisiness!

I never thought i would say this but Alicia Fox deserves the Divas Title, i have never been a real big fan of her but after the great effort and strength she showed us last night against botch queen Kelly Kelly i fell on Monday Night Raw, she is going to win. I have said before that with Maryse coming back they will keep the Title on a face like Melina so we all could have that typical Heel vs Face feud for the title, but with Maryse not being 100% and having surgery on her knee, i don’t think she will be put back into the ring after this type of injury.
With that being said and after that match against Kelly Kelly last night i fell Alicia is finally at the that point in her career, also when is the last time they announced a divas match a week before and it is in the biggest arena of them all Madison Square Garden.
I will be routing for Alicia because she is a huge part of this new generation of divas who will hold the fort after divas like Mickie and Melina retire. I also smell an epic match between these two Melina and Alicia have great chemistry and have worked the house show circuit since Alicia won that #1 contender ship.
Okay the Alicia bug has hit me & with the likes of Trish Stratus and Melina giving this young talent props all i can say is…… GO ALICIA FOX NEW & DESERVING DIVAS CHAMPION…

the build has been so weak. very little push, minimal momentum. hardly worthy of a title change. no chance of it happening i’m afraid. if she does win it won’t really mean anything

TheHartDynasty-sorry to burst your buuble but melina and alicia have been botching all there matches on the house shows so we’ll see what happens next week
and sorry,but alicia doesn’t deserve anything,people throw the word “deserve” around to much,alicia just became an active member in the divas division months ago,she is good and has improved but that does not equal “deserving” a title reign,making her a number one contender is more then enough considering she’s so new and young

RKOyou So you were they at these house shows? How where they? I am sorry but if you didn’t see these so called botches with your own eyes, then don’t go around saying they botched every house show match, you don’t now that for a fact! Out of all the divas on Raw Alicia is the most Deserving right now of the divas title. You can hate all you wont but its the truth buddy!
Maryse isn’t going to come back and win the title off the bat, Melina not wrestling these past two week is kind of odd. I think they are trying to Get Alicia over with the Crowd as with these past three weeks she has competed in single matches on Superstars, won the diva battle Royal on Raw and won a single match against Kelly Kelly. As for Melina she really hasn’t been seen wrestling. So exit Melina stage left and Enter Alicia fox as the new divas champion!!

I really think this match would be great. Yes, Melina and Alicia haven’t had great matches during their house shows on the tour but it’s a house show. They are trying to get used to each other all over again. Their report said when they have a tag team match with Jillian and Gail and someone said that match was awesome. I’m pretty sure they have some matches before next Monday.
Do I think Alicia would win the title next Monday? Yes and No. No, because she isn’t that over with the fans. She haven’t had mic time since coming to RAW and doesn’t have a character yet. Yes, because they would have both diva and woman champ on team which I think that would be great. Since Melina isn’t going to be captain on her team they can have Alicia being the co captain. You know the storyline with Alicia and Michelle, Michelle being Alicia teacher nothing like having them with both titles. Also, if Maryse won the diva title so can Alicia.
Maybe if Alicia win the diva title match maybe they can have an actually FEUD.
Don’t forget both Melina and Trish Stratus both said this girl can wrestle. So, I can see Alicia with the diva title.

TheHartDynasty-It’s on a early diva dirt report,it said that alicia and melina were botching a lot in a match .Also,some other reports are saying that melina and alicia have been botching in EVERY match they’ve had together on house show circuit which isn’t a good sign.I’m not being a hater,i’m just telling you

has Melina even faced Alicia since being on Raw? would be very weird if she would win it so easily and what would be the point of giving the title to Melina in the first place?

What I am counting on is Melina only won the Championship to continue a face-run as Champion, which would mean a Face has been Champion for nearly 5 months and the WWE much prefer heels as Champions with the faces chasing it.

Chances that Alicia is going to get the title are small right now, but not impossible. Logic doesnt really apply to WWE, and they have given the title to a rookie before (Gail Kim, Candice). Melina has also botched a lot of moves lately, so maybe they want her to put her in the chase-roll. We also havent seen a heel-champion on Raw for a long time, and Maryse wont get the title any time soon. So a short title reign for Alicia is definately possible. But i’d say chances that Melina will retain her title are 70%+

I told myself when Alicia was feuding with Mickie that she shouldn’t get the title until WWE gives her a character and builds her up for a few more months, but at this point, I’ve given up on the Raw writers and said “TO HELL WITH IT ALL.” Give Alicia the title and I would finally be pleased with something on Raw. But yeah .. not holding my breath. I’m at least hoping for a good match which Raw sadly fails to deliver half the time.

I doubt Alicia will get it. Especially since we haven’t even hit Survivor Series yet. It wouldn’t make sense to have two champions on one team. But I’m glad Alicia/Melina isn’t taking a PPV spot like how Mickie/Alicia did. I honestly don’t even want Melina to drop it to Maryse (which is likely when she comes back) I’d much prefer her drop it to Kelly or Gail. I know Gail isn’t likely, but Kelly is. Anyways I’m straying away from the topic at hand, nay for Alicia.

Hmmm,so many factors can come into play.I mean,let’s look at those factors,shall we?
1.Alicia has no character.
2.Alicia is a rookie.
3.Melina has botched a lot since her return to Raw.
4This could be punishment for the botchfest Melina and Jillian unfortunately put on.
And
5.They would have two champs on the same team.
I concur that it’s simply too soon to tell whether she may or may not.Nut,I do love me some foxyness….

i on’t think she;ll win it. as people have mention already here, it would seem unbalanced to have two title holders on one team as survivor series. also, if she was going to win, you’d think they’d put it on pppv as a singles match (they could easily replace the two of them in the team match). alicia just isn’t champion material right now and i don’t think she will be for quite a while. wwe need to let her develop more personality than the random dancing she seems to do after matches. i also don’t think she’s that great. i mean, is she wasn’t a former model and came up through the indies she’d be just another velvet sky. i think it’s only because she was a model that people stop and think wow.

I don’t care for Alicia in anyway. To me she just isn’t anything special at all. Sure she’s improved a lot but she still hasn’t proven a thing to me into liking her. Alicia isn’t deserving of the title to me. She still needs a lot more work to be considered championship material. Like some people have said, it wouldn’t be right nor would it even make sense if there were 2 champions on one team…especially it being an all heel team. So pretty much its obvious that Melina is going to retain…thank god if so! Plus they wouldn’t have Melina lose the belt when she hasn’t even had it that long…especially if she hasn’t wrestled on RAW for the past 2 weeks. There also isn’t even any build up to this match at all for Alicia to win. The week that they had the rematch between Melina & Jillian or the next week when they had that comedy mixed tag match, they should have had the divas battle royal then because if so then they could have done a tag match between Melina & Alicia the next week in which Alicia could have pinned her or they could have done that this week instead of the pointless Alicia/Kelly match with Melina just match backstage. They could still do that next week maybe before the ppv. But still…Melina FTW! And obvious she’ll retain. If they do a 180 and have Alicia win with no buildup at all…then thats it for me. I couldn’t even bare to see Alicia with that belt.

I have a feeling Melina will win though, and in a weird way, I kind of want her to. Seeing as there was NO build-up to the last (2) Diva title changes, I kind of hope we’ll have a nice rivalry for this one…
Though I do hope we’ll see Foxy as a champ within the next couple of months.

i really don’t like Melina as a title holder or even as a diva for that matter, her style has gotten stale her screams have gotten annoying and her little dance she does is so 2007, i really think that wwe officials are going to get the title off of her just because of her botch style she has been showcasing as of late and why not her character has gotten a bit predictable. So i say Alicia all the way once again but she will probably more then likely win by some cheating method like a foot on the rope or jillian running out killing melina with her voice.

WWE is too vain and fickle minded to truly invest in talent, which is why Alicia Fox’s potential won’t be realised. Even if she does defeat Melina, it won’t mean much. Look at how sudden and easily they buried Mickie James’ title reign. She’ll have won a belt that resembles a Bratz doll accessory and defend it in random three minute spot matches or those tacked onto a PPV at the last minute. Audiences will most likely use her airtime for a piss break. I’m not sure the WWE is any longer a place for women to make history in wrestling. All the character and spirit of wrestling was sapped out ages ago. I think it’s otherwise known as sports entertainment syndrome.
By the way, I really like Alicia. And a lot of the workers in the company. I’m just disenchanted with the formulaic production and quality of the division.
