Diva Dirt Style Jury: Week of November 9th, 2009

Welcome to the Diva Dirt Style Jury! No more are the separate ‘Best’ and ‘Worst’ lists, instead we have come up with a scientific approach *cough* to compiling our weekly fashion column. The Diva Dirt team will weigh in on the different looks from the week gone by & mark each look with a score out of ten. The look with the highest average score will be our best look and the look with the lowest average score will be the worst look. Click each photo to see the look in full size.

Let the proverbial runway show begin!

GAIL KIM
Erin: The strapless top is cute, the jeans look nice, and the yellow is a much more fun color than most Divas wear as “street clothes”. I like the lighter side, though–not everyone needs to wear leather and bras when they’re not wrestling. It’s not an outstanding look on its own, but I like it on Gail. 7/10
Melanie: Not exactly an amazing outfit but damn, Gail looks super cute! 6/10
Steven: The pale yellow looks awesome on Gail, but I’m not a fan of the maternity-esque top. 7/10

JILLIAN
Erin: Was it “managers wear strapless tops” night? I prefer Gail’s more causal look, personally. Jillian’s is super tight and looks like it’s a bit in danger of slipping down. I like the purple color, but all together the look would probably benefit from the top being a wee bit longer. You know, to balance out the bounty up top by covering up the midriff at the bottom. 5/10
Melanie: Seriously, Jillian’s wardrobe consists of only strapless tops and jeans. Boring. 5/10
Steven: Jeez, does Jillian ever NOT wear jeans? All in all, a decent showing. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. 5/10

LAYLA
Erin: You know, I kind of like the sheer black lace look on Layla, but not in its full execution. It almost looks unfinished, and paired with the updo and dangly earrings it looks so out of place. Maybe it’s because the inwards shape cutting in from the shoulders makes it look almost like an athletic top. I can’t help but feel some sort of interest in it, though. Hm.. 5/10
Melanie: This is a risk for Layla. I usually hate the sheer tops with enough coverage around the boobs but for some reason, I think Layla pulls it off classier than most. That said, I’m not sold on the outfit and Layla has and can do much better. 5/10
Steven: Layla, Layla, Layla. What has gotten into you?! Not only is this outfit a hot mess, the hair is just as bad. 2/10

MICHELLE MCCOOL
Erin: It looks like Michelle’s wearing an apron at first glance. Which, you know, would be okay if she were cooking. But as is, on a wrestling show, it just looks like she she didn’t have enough time to change after cooking up some BBQ. 3/10
Melanie: I’m not sure if I like it or not. On the one hand, it’s meant to be ‘street clothes’ but it comes across more as a costume for her character; like you couldn’t see Michelle the person wearing something like this on a daily basis, but for Michelle the character on a television show — it works. If you’ve got the legs that Michelle has, why not flaunt it? After all, it’s not the ‘real’ her, it’s her ‘character’. I kinda like it. 6/10
Steven: Another good week for Michelle in the style department. I think this would have looked a bit better with jeans, but it’s still a hit with me. 8/10

ROSA MENDES
Erin: That’s a gorgeoussss color, and the neckline is sexy without exposing her whole treasure chest. The necklace is pretty too, and adds a bit of an edge that matches her wild hair and “bad girl~” attitude. Frankly, I’m just glad we’re well past the “Rosa always wears ruffles” phase. Now, about that hair.. 8/10
Melanie: Rosa looked really hot! I’m so glad to see her inject some colour rather than wear all black again. She even made her hair look better than usual. 7/10
Steven: I’m absolutely loving Rosa’s look this week. Simple yet sexy, Rosa delivers for the second week straight. 9/10
