With Maryse’s return looming, Armchair Creative Team gets a dust-down as we ponder what the future could hold for the former Divas Champion. As one of the most anticipated comebacks in Diva history — depending on who you ask — will Maryse’s comeback be a Melina or a Candice? We weigh in:
Feud with Divas Champion, Melina — Perhaps the easiest and most probable option is for Maryse to come back and feud with the current reigning Divas Champion, Melina. This one pretty much explains itself, right? Melina is the Divas Champion and top babyface, Maryse is a former Divas Champion, coming back from injury and likely will be the top heel — it writes itself really.
Create an alliance with Alicia Fox — While the above idea is probably the most WWE’s creative team’s creativity extends to, I have been pondering a different route to see Maryse feud with Melina. What’s worse than one Diva on your trail? Two! As two of the fastest rising Divas in WWE, how about creating a Diva duo with Maryse and Alicia? Not since Vince’s Devils have we seen a group in WWE and while The Beautiful People seem to have that market cornered in TNA, it’d be refreshing to see something like this in WWE. Alicia and Maryse are young Divas on the cusp of top Divadom, it would make sense for them to team up and take out the veteran Divas Champ. Instead of a straight one-on-one feud, you could have both Divas attacking Melina and being a general thorn in her side. Throw in some of those rare promos to explain the new tandem and get over that bitchy heel nature.
Feud with Eve Torres — Instead of starting out right at the top, like most expect her to, why not have throw fans a curveball and have Maryse work her way up? Rather than starting out straightaway in a feud with Melina, have her go through Eve Torres first. Both Eve and Maryse are Divas on the rise and have bright futures in WWE. With Eve now on Raw, you could have Maryse come back and claim not to know who she is [even though they worked together on SmackDown] and say she’s back now and Raw is her turf. Superiority is something Maryse does best and it would give Eve a bit of a rub, working with the ex-Divas Champion.

Feud with Eve. I still want a bit more longevity in the Alicia/Melina feud, so I’d rather see her feud with Eve.
I think they should do it like, The Miz is pursuing Eve, and Maryse jeaous, despite turning him down numerous times before. Nothing like a cheesy soap-opera style feud to get the ratings up

Fued with Eve, it will do wonders for both women. Maryse has little to no crowd reaction, so they should work on building her up again since people didn’t care about her (in live shows) and won’t remember who she is. Fuding her with the newbie on Raw would be a good ay to develop both females characters and show to the world how they are in the ring.
The Maryse/Alicia stable is something to think about as well mind you. =P

While WWE will probably go with Option 1, I would like to see option 3 happen. Actually…I would like to see a combination of 2 AND 3. She can begin feuding with Eve and somewhere down the line, team up with Alicia Fox and attempt to ensure their dominance in the Raw Divas division. Eve gets Melina’s help, and…well, there are a few options that can be done after the team-ups are in place.

I don’t see how maryse and alicia can be a team when they look nothing alike and there styles of wrestling are totally different,and also,how will anyone tell if there a team or just teaming up for a random tag match
I’ll go with choice three since I hate maryse and don’t wanna see her with the divas title

Maryse doesn’t nee another push right now. Throw her in with the Bellas making out with the guest host. She can’t speak nor wrestle so why have her. Jillian has a character and we saw how great RAW was when she got pushed.
Keep pushing Alicia. I pray to god she wins the bet tonight.

I personally like Maryse’s character. I think she should go straight in there and feud with Melina because then it could be a feud. Maryse is a bitch! Lets have her torment Melina! To .MCH: RAW was shocking when Jillian won the Diva’s title, entertaining, but shocking and yes it did look amazing to have a feud with Melina and Jillian!! Then after that it went to shit, her and Melina didn’t work together very well at all!

with how poor the divisions been since the disappearance of maryse, it feels as if her comeback is the second coming or something. the only idea of these i’d be against would be the alliance between her and alicia. wwe alredy have that random doesn’t make much sense pairing of mccool/layla over on smackdown, and it’d seem too much of a rip-off of that (if you can rip off your own company, that is). besides, the wwe divas all seem to be one big stable of themselves considering they’re happy enough to team up or dance together when the time, or rather vince, calls for it.
considering wwe haven’t mentioned maryse since she lost the belt, it doesn’t seem like she’ll be thrust back into the spotlight right away. even if it does feel like the title is in some form of holding position until her return and ultimate reclaim of it.

Maryse is the slowest diva in the ring so I don’t want to see match with her and Melina. Their last match they had on RAW was freaking AWFUL.
IMO, there is nothing entertaining about Maryse character. Besides being a bitch and putting her hands up? SERIOUS? She run mostly all the time!
Feud with Eve Torres I would like that the most.
Stable with Alicia could work they could be the most dominate divas on RAW but just let Alicia carry the diva belt and let her talk since you can understand her. Alicia and Maryse don’t have to look alike to be in a stable together. They could let Maryse help Alicia win the title tonight

i’d like her to feud with melina straight away, winning the title off her at royal rumble. she can then go into a feud with eve, who will defeat her to claim her first divas title at wrestlemania 26

Thats a rather good idea, having Maryse help Alicia win the championship and then have Maryse betraying her and chasing it… WWE should hire some fans as part of the creative team!

Ohhhhhh God, Maryse has to be one of the most overrated Divas in history. I use to be a mark for her when she had her feud w/ Michelle, but now I realize that she is all hype and Michelle did a good job at carrying her. I understand people like her character but how many times have we seen the typical bitchy character ( Dawn Marie, Sable, Candice, and heel Stacy), at least Dawn could wrestle and got an reaction. Nevertheless I think she should feud with Eve to get people interested in her…… but flipping hair and doing camel clutches won’t do that will it ?

Whatever Maryse gets up to upon her return is bound to enhance the Diva product because that’s simply the type of charisma she exudes. She may lack a lot of polish in the ring, but she’s immensely watchable. This is why rather than have her feud with Melina or team with Alicia (the beauty of Maryse as a heel is the superiority complex) I would place her in an angle with a main event superstar. By that point, her reclaiming the Divas Championship would ultimately bring to it more prestige when she engages in a rivalry with someone challenging her for it. I still think Eve being on RAW is all wrong right now. She could have been the second baby face to Mickie James, whereas on RAW she’s contending with Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox as future Diva stars.

I can’t wait for her to come back!,I am so excited and the obious feud that could possibly happen is Maryse and Melina.I am dying to see a good storyline with her and the miz(I love himmm!)but hmm don’t know about that.I really don’t care who she feuds with as long as she comes back.Wwe is been really boring without her especially with the divas.there are no good feuds heels are just being heels and faces are being faces.Maryse is a pretty good heel,and the most believable one too,Sooo and I agree Eve on Raw? but I love the girl and she has improved a lot,so good for her let’s see what she’s going to be doing!.,ahhh Maryse is coming back!…and my favorite superstar and Diva are on my favorite brand RAW!! and who cares? well I do ha I’m a mizchick and I love the miz because he’s the miz and he’s Awesome ha be jealous!.
