Independent wrestler, Becky Bayless received a WWE tryout this week at the company’s television tapings.
The former ROH and SHIMMER star noted on her Twitter page that she had wrestled at Madison Square Garden on Monday night — which was of course host to this week’s Raw. PWInsider is reporting that Bayless also received a second tryout last night at the SmackDown taping in Philadelphia.
Any female wrestler who declares their love for Diva Dirt on Twitter deserves a WWE contract! Congrats to Becky and good luck!

The match that PWI is reporting, did they say it happened BEFORE anyone was let into the arena? I was there last night and the only Diva action we got was what was on SD. Unless you count Vickie and Rosa.

It would be great to see her in in WWE. She has already worked al the major indy promotions (czw, roh, fip, iwa-ms) and female promotions like shimmer/wew/wsu/wrestlelicious, so it was just a question of time till either WWE or TNA would check her out.
After Serena, AJ and now Becky, it looks like WWE has given up on models and are once again focussing on looking for good looking women who can actually wrestle.
i still think it’s a shame tna didn’t pick her up after her appearance for them last year.

She’s probably going to wrestle in FCW or other development facility for now, but lets hope that WWE starts to pick up good wrestlers.

fans always say WWE only hires models,no they don’t,they hired beth,mickie,melina,Jillian,katie,serena,and april all of which can wrestler but there also GOOD LOOKING

@ “Rhawk” she’s never worked a match in Shimmer to my knowledge, so I wouldn’t instantly assosciate Shimmer with a wrestling role.
She’s never really impressed me in the ring, a good interviewer but I’m happy they are at least acknowledging the indies.
I’m a big fan of Becky Bayless, always have been, but I don’t think that WWE would be the right place for her. Her body doesn’t fit WWE standards of a slim diva and they are gonna try and change her. I would total hate it if WWE should do that to her, cause she is extremely talented.
i agree i dont think Becky fits the Diva look, she didnt have the nickname Booty becky for no reason, and she is alittle thicker but i hope WWE does sign her and maybe it is things to come but i am thinking if they never signed Brittany Carter then they wont sign her.
Inferno: Brittany Carter was only hired to job, that wasnt a tryout. And in a squash match the jobber doesnt get a chance to demonstrate offensive skills.
becky is very decent at best, she had a match with talia madison aka velvet sky on the indy’s about a year or two ago average for a wwe style diva match but good luck to her in wwe they must’ve liked what they saw out of her if they gave her two tryout matches.
I remember her from Kong’s fan challenge,she seemed pretty cool :)

Becky used to be pretty meh, but she’s quite good now. She’s been trained by Homicide and I believe Allison Danger and Daizee Haze help her out as well.
She’s such a sweetheart, too. One of the nicest wrestlers I’ve met.
She’s hot and she can really wrestle but WWE should keep an eye on talents like JESSIE MCKAY, Jennifer Blake AND TENILLE. Those ladies has the diva look and they can really kick ass. Jessie Mckay had a kick ass match against cheeleader melissa in shimmer volume 25.

But they are all in their early 20s (some are even younger than Kelly Kelly), and i think many of them still go to college/uni and only wrestle part-time because of that. So becoming a fulltime wrestler in WWE is probably not on their agenda right now. But all those names are definately the future of womens wrestling. I’m sure we will eventually see some of them in WWE (or TNA).
I can’t help but to comment what was said about her weight. Yes, WWE usually prefers slim girls, but there are a few of them who aren’t that thin: Beth, Mickie, Natalya, Melina, Jillian. Just because there are a few “sticks”, that doesn’t mean they won’t hire more chubby girls.
