Thoughts after the cut:
Melanie’s Thoughts
Well it was pretty obvious from last Sunday’s pay per view that Tara would be going for the title next, I don’t know why she had to win a battle royal to become No. 1 Contender. Surely a cage match between her and Kong is enough of a determiner? Very WWE of you, TNA.
Can’t say I’m looking forward to Tara vs ODB, to be honest but let’s hope Tara wins the title just in time for Christmas.

wonder where alissa flash was.

Tara vs odb????? I hope tara wins so she can have a full long feud with kong for the title.

A battle royal to determine the #1 contender. Brilliant! We have never seen that before lately
And Hamada is on a roll, defeating both Taylor and Sarita. I wonder where they are going with her. If ODB turns heel they will need a new face, so Hamada seems to be the most likely candidate.

Alissa is currently stuck in a brilliant feud with Traci. Some sources (WNW) claim she was in the battle royale though. This source also gives that Daffney and Alissa were eliminated first and Velvet and Madison last. Ugh.
Tara didn’t need that Battle royale to get a title shot. But I guess the match occured due to TNA’s typical way of trying to put as many wrestlers as possible on TV. The resulting problem is that with this huge push, either she beats ODB and the title win feels like normal, almost a formality, or she loses and this winning streak is just wasted (much like at New Year’s Revolution 2007). That leaves us with a possible Kong interference. Ugh again.
Hamada’s wins over Saritaylor are more intriguing. Either they’re building Hamada for a top single feud while keeping Saritaylor busy (for instance a Hamada/Kong match), or they’re planning to create a new tag team including Hamada. Or they have no clue what to do next and just fill air time with matches between good workers.
This month we see more of ODB, Tara, Saritaylor, and Hamada : where did the heels go ?

yeah, alissa as well as taylor were in the battle royal, the only person who wasn’t was awesome kong. not sure why not.
i think it’s good tara had to earn the no.1 contendership. assuming that beating kong should mean she should immediately have it insinuates that kong herself was no.1 contender, which she wasn’t – nobody really was. besides, it’s much better than a ppv title match being announced just for the sake of it with no real backstory as to why she gets it.
i think it’s pretty obvious tara will be next champion, but i would prefer it if they hold off until their december ppv. i actually want to give them the chance to let odb’s reign be memorable for something other than the deaner.

Kaledrina, Tara will challenge ODB at the December pay-per-view, Final Resolution.

Hamada is very respected in Mexico and Japan, and has used her connections in the past to bring Japanese talent to Mexico and Mexican talent to Japan. It is very possible that TNA Wrestling asked Hamada to bring in some International talent for the Knockout‘s Division (much like WCW and WWE did in the mid/late 90s). I’d love to TNA Wrestling use Hamada’s sister Xóchitl, for a short run/feud with TNA Knockout’s Tag Team Champions Sarita & Taylor Wilde.

ODB versus Tara? Although it was obvious that this would happen, i think is going to be an interesting match. They both can be vicious. I like Tara a lot and I think she’ll be the next champion. Probably, she will feud Kong again after that.

Tara vs. ODB doesn’t interest me at all
It’s good Tara earns her title shot, her match with kong never said the winner would face ODB,the match was to resolve the fued with Kong and Tara
where was alissa in the battle royal, all knockouts should get a shot, the fact that traci was in the match and not alissa leaves a bitter taste in my mouth
i don’t like that Hamada beat my tag team of saritaylor, her beating taylor was fine but we all know sarita can take down Hamada
November 18, 2009 at 7:58 pm
I think Hamada will end up forming a tag team as well. It’s too coincidental to have her going over both of the champs on back to back shows. I’d say it’s best for her to end up in the tag division anyway, considering her language difficulties, unless they’re going to give her a manager.

oops. i mean the ppv in january then. for a moment there i thought the next tna ppv was at the end of november forgetting we just had one last week.
rkoyou, alissa was in the match. second or third eliminated, if i remember correctly.
November 18, 2009 at 8:05 pm
tnafan, it’d be nice if eventually they could use some of those hamada related connections and give the women what i’ve wanted for so long now: a knockouts world x cup tournament.
November 18, 2009 at 10:17 pm
Kaledrina,
TNA Wrestling should use all the connections they can get. Using Awesome Kong and Hamada to bring in International female wrestlers would give the Knockout’s Division something Women’s wrestling hasn’t seen in the main stream promotions since the days of Alundra Blayze (Madusa) as WWE Women’s Champion and the brief (blink and you miss it) WCW Women’s Division in the mid/late 90s.
Also, I would hope TNA Wrestling wouldn’t use the “World X Cup” when referencing a Knockout’s Tournament. I’d rather them go with a “Queen of the Knockout’s” or “Queen of Queens” theme/name for an all Knockout’s tournament.

If Alissa Flash was in the battle royal it could mean that Tracy Brooks possibly eliminated her, thus continuing her feud with Alissa….If you call it a feud.

This happens too
*AJ Styles joins the announce table. Daniels vs. Abyss. Daniels is losing and was signaling for something. A video of the Beautiful People plays showing them attacking Lauren in the bathroom. This distracts Abyss enough for Daniels to hit a low blow and get a rollup on Abyss for the win. Afterwards AJ threatens to attack Daniels but the hooded guy takes out AJ.
