Mickie James def. Layla. After the match Layla tells Mickie to look at the tron, a video of Michelle McCool dressed like a farmer calling Mickie “Piggy James”. She sings Old McDonald while a picture of a pig with Mickie’s face on it appears. The video ends with another pig with Mickie’s face on it on a Looney Tunes background with “That’s all folks!” written on it. Mickie is shown crying in the ring & walks off. (Source: PWInsider.com)
Thoughts after the cut:
Erin’s Thoughts
I guess we’ve regressed to high school-level feuds now. I suppose we’ll see if this comes off as ridiculous on television as it does here.
November 18, 2009 at 3:48 am
i guess she is fat after all,
i mean wwe is calling you a pig, its like get a lypo
November 18, 2009 at 3:49 am
I think it sounds quite funny. Can’t wait to see it.
November 18, 2009 at 3:53 am
Awh I Love Miss James, and I’m glad she’s allowing them to do something like that, even though (as we’ve seen with Lita) WWE doesn’t always ask your permission to hit you in the face with what they think is wrong with you.
November 18, 2009 at 3:53 am
LOL@ Piggy James.
They’re wrong for that.
November 18, 2009 at 3:54 am
@gmosto That was mean in what you said. She isn’t fat at all so i don’t see how this is funny…period!
Anyways; when i first read this, it seriously pissed me off. I know Michelle & Layla are meant to be the mean girls since they are heels but a pig? Really? And pasting Mickie’s face on it? What is this? Some childish thing if you ask me. I can understand the whole Vickie pig thing but they didn’t go far in pasting her face on a pig if i’m not mistaken. If they did, then oh well but this is still far worse then that. Talk about original. Real or not (storyline wise) and Mickie probably not minding but still…to go that far? Thats really uncalled for and uncessary. If Mickie agreed to this, i still feel really bad for her in having to go through this in a storyline.
Also, it appears that Michelle & Layla have adopted a mean girls style of gimmick. With them doing this and last week cutting up Mickie’s clothes, it seems like they are doing their own verison of The Beautiful People’s Meanest Girls thing. Talk about original and copying…
November 18, 2009 at 3:55 am
More fat jokes. Jeez, girlfriend only gained like five to ten pounds!
This feud is pretty juvenile. I guess I should be happy that the divas are getting screen time, but it’s hard to take any of this seriously.
November 18, 2009 at 3:55 am
Mickie crying over not being able to beat Beth didn’t get Beth over, so why would it work for Michelle, who is even worse off than Beth in terms of a connection with the crowd?
And if Mickie quits WWE in the near future, I hope WWE isn’t dense enough to be surprised by it.
November 18, 2009 at 4:12 am
Wow. I meant to say I’m sad, not I’m glad, I dunno what I was thinking when I was typing.
November 18, 2009 at 4:12 am
@kelsey
BE FAT IS NOT BAD OK?, im fat (not like mark henry), i got like 8 extra pounds
and i dont feel ashemed or anything, so let me tell you something.. she is fat
YES SHE IS, you can see picture of her belly, YES I NOW SHE IS SHORT AND ALL THAT
but she is fat, high and weight are relatives ok?
so i dont mean to insult mickie or anything, cause being fat is not bad at all and mickie always got a great body but she she gain weight..
and if you cant see that is because you a tipical fanboy who doesnt care about the facts…
And i say get a lypo, cause I DONT KNOW ANYBODY, ANIBODY, who would not be into a lypo to lose some weight, including me
thanks
November 18, 2009 at 4:19 am
Oh my God. What the hell is going on with the WWE? This is ridiculous! The heel Michelle has always been a really serious character. I wonder how she feels about the WWE doing stuff like this.
I also wonder if the WWE is trying to get the crowd to be more with Mickie or against her. They’ve always been on her side, so the WWE trying to get people more on her side doesn’t make much sense.
This is ending up just like what the WWE did to Victoria. Maybe Trish was right about going out on top.
November 18, 2009 at 4:21 am
It’s ironic that the WWE once sent Michelle McCool away for months to get rid of her southern accent and now they have her dressing up as a farmer. Hmmm.
November 18, 2009 at 4:23 am
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Mickie James released in 2010. It seems like WWE is burying her at any chance they get.
November 18, 2009 at 4:58 am
I’m gonna wait til I see it on TV to judge. It does sound cool though.
November 18, 2009 at 6:04 am
it is kinda stupid but at least w r getting something
November 18, 2009 at 6:08 am
That sounds rather disappointing, so there’s absolutely no buildup to Survivor Series for the divas.
As far as after the match goes: What kind of example is that setting for the young girls who watch Smackdown and are Mickie James fans? Whoever wrote this should be bitch slapped 10 times.
November 18, 2009 at 6:14 am
Michelle McCool’s singing? Sounds like its going to be hillarious!!
November 18, 2009 at 6:35 am
I don’t know which will be more offending, Mickie’s picture on a pig or Michelle’s singing LOL
November 18, 2009 at 6:39 am
If Mickie’s fat, I would love to be fat like her. And before you ask, no, I’m not a fanboy who doesn’t care about the facts. Mickie is 5’4. A healthy weight range for somebody her height is between 107.8 and 145.6 lbs. And since Miss James is nowhere near 145, she’s not fat. Those are the facts.
When WWE sent Lita off with Cryme Time selling her underwear and stuff, it wasn’t funny and it was degrading. When Edge was calling Vickie fat, it wasn’t funny and it was degrading. I don’t see this coming off any differently. Cutting up clothes is one thing and could fall under the “Mean Girl” shtick, but personally attacking somebody’s appearance and weight is just tacky and classless. Like KiKi said, what kind of example is this setting to young girls? Or does WWE simply choose to ignore the fact that they have a whole other ‘young’ demographic aside from little boys buying Cena t-shirts and Mysterio masks?
Downgrade.
November 18, 2009 at 6:43 am
I personally like the sounds of this, Mickie’s a victim come to seek revenge on the skinny mean girls. WWE is stink for doing this but I’m pretty sure Mickie will come out top in the end.
November 18, 2009 at 7:24 am
When the story came out about Mickie trying country music, it said she would announce her intentions “in a few weeks”. That was before the European Tour, so a few weeks are up.
Maybe she already gave notice and is headed out the door.
The way she’s being booked it sure seems she’s getting the Vickie goodbye.
The WWE hasnt been too subtle in going after her, especially with the Subway cheap shot in Buffalo
earlier in the year.
Thats what now…………….6 weeks since the Womans Champion has broke a sweat on tv in the ring ?
November 18, 2009 at 7:44 am
i was just reminded that wwe is catered for 10 – 12 year olds.
mccool and layla should take tips from love and sky’s how-to-be-mean handbook.
November 18, 2009 at 8:40 am
This really shows the mentality of the WWE and is probably part of the implicit punishment handed out to Mickie James for daring to put on a few pounds. But I don’t think Mickie needs to take it to heart, because she’s consistently voted one of the most beautiful Divas over the hyper-promoted prototypes on the roster. WWE are infamous for making slight of women who don’t adhere to the LA look. As mentioned by some others here, it’s quite a nasty way of representing a PG product and one can only hope there will be an eventual overturn or measure of revenge. I doubt it, though. WWE doesn’t normally do moral intelligence, especially where the Divas are concerned. In spite of her consistent work ethic and all her accolades within the company, Mickie James will still probably exit the company with her dignity stripped away. Look at how they thanked Lita.
Oh, and on a side note, it’s funny to see the “historic Diva” Michelle McCool in such a clichéd, juvenile angle.
November 18, 2009 at 10:03 am
i think it has nothing to do with her weight but about the fact that mickie is coming from a small town.
i love michelle and layla as the mean girls
.
November 18, 2009 at 10:32 am
lmao what’s so wrong with it? I thought we all wanted storylines that progress with angles as opposed to 2 minute rushed matches weekly with no build up. Sounds great to me, and loving that SmackDown is taking a different approach than Raw.
November 18, 2009 at 10:49 am
I understand why WWE should stick up to the standards, but they always involve things like this in a storyline… It’s insulting. Yeah, the girl is a little chubby right now, but quite frankly watching her is better than watching walking sticks like Michelle (no offense, she’s good in the ring). And I also understand they went PG, but these high school jokes and angles are ridiculous. We’ve seen this before and the bad acted segments don’t make it more interesting. The creative team has been showing a lack of creativity.
November 18, 2009 at 10:49 am
Omg did anyone notice that katie leas page is removed.
and i agree with krissyvaine luver.
November 18, 2009 at 11:11 am
How do we know this wasn’t to target her growing up on a farm (since the setting of it according to another report is that Michelle was on a farm when singing)? What other animal on a farm is as insulting to call someone as a pig? It’s not like Michelle can say oh mickie you’re such a llama.
November 18, 2009 at 12:40 pm
They removed it because last night Paul Burchill took on The Hurricane. If Paul won, The Hurricane had to take off his mask and if The Hurricane won ( which he did ) both Burchills had to leave ECW.
I have to agree with KrissyVaineLurver, I’m sure they are just poking fun at her country side, not necessarily her weight but I guess people just want to assume to worst. Personally, I’m glad that have this. More mic time for Divas and more build up to the Survivor Series match. Sure it is pretty corny but like the saying goes “beggars can’t be choosers”.
November 18, 2009 at 1:26 pm
As far as i am concerned no one should have pig jokes dirrected at them i had enough of them when they were towards vickie it is out of order and there was a report that said a few people were ready to leave after the comment it is out of order and tasteless i dont think mickie james will be a diva much longer one i no it is story but michelle and layla said they would make her leave two she has signed on with the record company and hired an image consultant i would not be suprised if vince already knows she is leaving and that is why they are treating her like this the other wrestlers did not like the jokes with vickie and i dont think this is any different i dont care weather she was brought up on a farm or not it is a joke i love storys that progress it is great for fans but i dont by the only thing they could come up with is this one very disapointed in the writers
November 18, 2009 at 1:52 pm
It might be juvenile, but i like it. Mickies best work is when she is in the underdog position (see her early work as Alexis Laree). This will create sympathie for Mickie, and in the end she will come out on top. I can’t believe people are comparing this to Lita or Vickie. Are there signs that Mickie is retiring in 2010? She is the topface on WWE and probably the only female wrestler in WWE that actually generates money for them. This is just to build her up and refresh her character. And with all the internet marks talking about her weight lately, this is a nice way to take full advantage of it. People were already calling her fat (which is ridiculous off course), so why not use it for a storyline? This is good for both Mickie and Michelle/Layla.
November 18, 2009 at 2:43 pm
What is wrong with you guys? Where’s your sense of humor? Like I said last night, I think this is gonna be funny. All you guys are so negative.
November 18, 2009 at 2:50 pm
My first comment on DD.
Well, personally I don’t think that Mickie is fat. I think she has curves, like any real woman has. Besides, even if she was fat, that doesn’t mean she’s ugly, or in this case, not sexy. In fact she’s not the only Diva to have more weight than “normal” (normal in the wwe world, not the ordinary world). Natalya was way more weight than her, and she’s still beautiful. Not to mention Candice Michelle. When she started in the WWE, she was chubby too.
So, I honestly think, they called her a pig, because of her origins, not her weight. But even if it was about her weight, I honestly don’t see what’s the problem. Actually, it only means that she is confident in her own shoes, and that is a good example. Like Mika would say: Big Girls Are Beautiful.
But anyways, I see people being mad at this and I really don’t understand why this is a big drama. Many Male wrestlers were called fat in the past and people never criticized that. So why criticize the use of the “weight factor” on women? Just because they’re girls, we can’t say they’re fat? (Btw, Im a girl) That, to me, is like saying that women and men are different, which is bad, because we’ve being fighting for our rights and for gender equality.
So, thumbs up to Mickie, for allowing this. I don’t think its a bad example. Its something that happens in our daily bases. Skinny girls make fun of chubby ones. The difference is that in WWE, the fat one will kick some asses and show that even though she’s chubby, she can be as pretty as the other divas. In fact, they show they’re stronger. And that is a cool example to every shy fat girl on earth.
November 18, 2009 at 3:06 pm
I would love if Michelle and Layla’s teasing caused Mickie to reurn to her psycho roots, ala Carrie. Now that’s a good angle!
November 18, 2009 at 3:28 pm
I don’t see why every one’s complaining, it sounds good! This could be the feud to get Michelle really over as a heel. Let’s face it, the fans love Mickie and from reading all the comments on here, you all hate Michelle now for her comments & song! Job done.
November 18, 2009 at 3:43 pm
This a little too Flashback-To-Vickie-Guerrero for me…
November 18, 2009 at 4:00 pm
I dont find this hurtying Mickie in any way like Krissvaineluver said isnt this what we wanted…its progressing the storyline so wth…besides Paul lost on ECW and maybe Katie mite come to SD as a face and team up with Mickie…I hope so…with Katie Lea Face on SD that means Katie vs Natalya or Beth vs Katie or Hell Katie vs Beth vs Natalya for the wwe womens championship
November 18, 2009 at 4:46 pm
If this is WWE’s way of telling Mickie to lose weight, then they are THEE BIGGEST PR!CKS I’VE EVER KNOWN!!!! >=( Plus all those stupid people who call Mickie fat are probably loving this right now, and that just makes me sick to the core.
This is giving me a terrible feeling that Mickie will indeed be leaving WWE, and when WWE do something like this to someone, especially someone like Mickie James who has ben on the road NON STOP for like 4 years? MORE even?! If this is their way of saying ‘THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR LEAVING US B!TCH!!” Then I hope I NEVER get into WWE … EVER!!!!
November 18, 2009 at 6:42 pm
I can’t believe there are morons, sitting there being paid big bucks, writing this crap. could “creative” seriously not come up with anything better than super-imposing mickies face on a pig???????????? a sad day for wrestling.
November 18, 2009 at 6:49 pm
I’m lovin the new Layla and Michelle Gimmick!!!
The Beautiful People prt 3
November 18, 2009 at 7:30 pm
mr_socko: that was a good point.
Even though I don’t think this is disgraceful to Mickie, lately, storylines are really lame, especially in the Women’s Division.
November 18, 2009 at 7:49 pm
How dare they embarass mickie, she’s not even fat,MAN I HATE MICHELLE SO MUCH
I’d rather look like mickie then michelle any day
who cares if it’s a storyline, wrestlers are still people and they still ahve emotions, there not robots,i would have cried too if someone called me fat and posted my face on a pig for the whole world to see
November 18, 2009 at 10:23 pm
To whoever said having your face pasted on a pig is worse than what happened to Vickie, how so?Vickie actually had to ACT like a pig in a frikkin PIG PEN MATCH!
B_Fizzle:That would be awesome!
Ok,first of all,I love this!I think this is a case of over thinking. Is is rude?Yes.But is it beneficial?Hell yeah!Look,at the end of the day if this is going to get you to love Mickie more and hate Michelle and Layla more,WWE is doing their job,and well I might add.Like Allison Danger said in the Women Of Wrestling Podcast, fans want to be so smart now that they don’t actually enjoy the work like they’re supposed to,instead they go for the company.”Oh,that was so low.How could they go there?!”.See,you’re all forgetting one crucial fact:It’s fake. These people are doing these things to make a living, they want to get us emotionally involved, they want us to hate them,or love them,or feel confused bite hem,but how can we when we always think beyond what is given to us?Once again, like Allsion Danger said, don’t bite the hand that feeds you, guys.
November 19, 2009 at 9:23 pm
As ridiculous as it may sound, this should work somehow! I mean, you already got some little kids getting angry at Michelle for doing that, it can only be a good thing!
November 19, 2009 at 11:27 pm
It really depends if Mickie’s Okay with it and her feelings aren’t really hurt than I’m cool with it I just don’t won’t Mickie to go through the same crap as Molly she said in interview some ware that soon as she got to her hotel room she started crying over the storyline.
