i’m quite bored of feeling sorry for gail kim now. she knew what she was getting herself into. unfortunately wwe seem to have sucked away any interest i still had for her tonight. nice to see eve last as long as she did.. and get an elimination, however poor-looking it was. also surprised to see alicia still in there towards the end, but i guess it makes sense story wise. overall, quite the poor match, methinks. last year was better. there was so much room for some form of progression. beth turning face, gail turning heel, maryse comeback, eve/kelly doing something worthwhile, it’s a shame really.

Bless Melina’s heart for desperately trying to get the comatose crowd into it. The “Melina claps, crowd claps for 5-10 seconds, crowd dies, repeat” deal get old pretty quick, though. At least there were no serious botches.

I think the match was kind of sloppy because of Kelly Kelly, Layla, Eve, and Jillian.
But everyone else did great in that match. It would be cool to see Michelle VS Melina match but knowing WWE it might just be a re-match and let Michelle team win.

Men that was so quick!
So Melina won by pinning McCool……………I was cheering for Mickie to pin McCool and Melina to eliminate Alicia! I was kind of mad that Beth got Eliminated that easy! Occurs our talented jobbers(Gail and Jillian) Have to be eliminated with out doing much. I will say last year was more exciting and less predictable!
Did Layla even touch Kelly with that kick?

Last year’s match was better. Cute that the crowd was chanting ‘we want mickie’ near the beginning. Mickie did really good along with Melina and Michelle. Didn’t like that Michelle is copying Aj Styles entrance again but whatever.

It’s really sad the WWE doesn’t let the Divas showcase their immortal talents. They could give a care in the world to put over the Divas; always putting them in these quick, underwelming, piss break matches, and its a real shame. What’s even worse is that its matches like these that makes majority wrestling fans care less about the Divas. Believe me, I watched the Youtube thoughts, and they are brutal to the Divas.
Like I said, WWE will not give a damn about the Divas, if they are primarily there to look good in the ring and not take the job seriously. Look at Gail, Natalya, Katie, and even Jillian. I’m just saying if WWE don’t take the girls seriously (which they are doing now), then fans will lose even more interest in the Divas.
As for the SS match, perfect example: Completely rushed, dead crowd, less interest people (Kelly, Eve, Jillian, Lalya) getting more time, Gail getting SQUASHED (AGAIN), and no story behind it. The other matches got more benefit for SS, but this show why WWE doesn’t care anymore, and it is sad. Like most people said, last year was better: story telling and building a star (Maryse). Which reminds me, If Miz, McIntyre, and Shameaus were the stars in their, match, and Kofi was build in his match, then who was the star in the Divas match? Don’t know, cause the weren’t given much time to build a star in the match. It feels like a bikini contest, everybody is a STAR, or EVERYBODY WINS. PATHETIC!
Anyway, I’m not giving up on the Divas. Their still is hope that they will surpass some of the males on the roster (hell, some of them do now), but the way the are brought up now, it won’t happen for a LONG, LONG TIME! Who knows? And I wish WWE would stop kissing ass, or picking favorites to the models (Kelly, the Bellas, Maria, Rosa, Tiffany, Maryse), it’s ridiculous that they are putting them over the real talent (the ones that can work).
P.S. GAIL, PLEASE GO BACK TO TNA!!!! (while you still can).

A hell of a lot better then last year’s, despite the lack of Natalya. Melina actually hit her moves (notice how she was kept out of the match) and Beth got back to killing bitches like she should.
The only thing that made Michelle’s gimmick thievery of everything that makes AJ Styles was seeing her name misspelled on the Tron. Someone in WWE likes me.

its disappointing really…you can see how the divas have gone even more down hill from 2008..Last years SS match was classic! they got their own entrances no-one was buried badly(except Victoria) lol & Maryse was there kicking ass hehe. I’ve been sticking up for WWE long enough..they waited until after a world title match to put the divas on?!?! what does that tell you? THEY DONT CARE..& then you’ll hear how management is down on the divas again..its not their fault..when will they get that through their biased, sexists skulls?!?! its getting a bit ridiculous now..maybe just maybe..the knockouts are better?. sad to say.
I didn’t see the match, who eliminated Beth? Actually if someone wants to just tell me who eliminated who that would be great. xD
Last year’s Survivor Series Diva match WAS a classic in my opinion. They managed to make Maryse look strong and still put over Beth! I love that kick to the back of her head. When I’m having a bad day I think of it. Haha.

Kelly pins Layla with Modified K2
Michelle pins Gail with Faithbreaker
Eve pins Jillian with Sunset Flip from the top Rope
Beth pins Eve with Glam Slam
Beth pins Kelly with Glam Slam
Mickie pins Beth with Crucifix Pin
Mickie pins Alicia with Diving Thesz Press
Melina pins Michelle with Last Call
That was pretty awful. Not that I was expecting Kong vs Tara in a cage, but they could have at least been similar to last year which was decent. It wasn’t as much a train wreck as a slow motion crash.
What’s scary is this is how Vince and WWE view female wrestling. Short, sloppy, and boring. If they don’t care about the Divas, then why should the fans who mostly were asleep during the match? I felt bad for the women working the match.
If WWE is going to treat the Diva matches as bathroom breaks then I wish they would just drop the idea of women wrestling. The time they waste on the Divas could be better spent on their younger male talent. They can keep their beloved models like Maryse and use them as valets in their childish silly angles. The true talents can go to TNA and also work SHIMMER/WSU/JAPW dates. Imagine Mickie James replacing Lacey Von Erich in the Beautiful People or finally getting to see Beth vs Kong or Melissa. Nattie vs. ODB? Gail Kim returning home(it’s clear she should have never left) to face Hamada or Sarita? Pinch me please!

This match was actually longer than last year’s match and, with it running a little over 10.5 minutes, the longest Diva match since Trish vs. Lita at Unforgiven 2006, yet it still was rushed. These elimination tag matches need at least 15 minutes to work.

Now that Mickie and Melina were the last 2 women standing, people might stop taking the internet rumors serious next time someone writes “WWE lost faith in Melina” or how WWE is unhappy with Mickie. If they were really unhappy with them they would’ve let McCool/Beth take the win.
The match itself was rather boring, it was exactly as most people predicted it would be: lots of quick falls with only signature moves, all stuffed in 10 minutes. I’m glad the rest of the PPV was good with lots of entertaining stuff. I especially liked the Miz/Morrison teams (i’m a sheamus/mcIntyre fan) and Kofi/Orton teams. And even the Cena/michaels/hhh match was very good.

Well, I think its was logic that Mickie’s Team would win. And actually it would be outrageous if Michelle’s team won. I mean Mickie’s Team had Mickie, Melina and Gail (even though it angers me the way she’s been used), while the good wrestlers in Michelle’s team, were just Michelle and Beth (I’m not saying the other are bad, but their not as good as the ones I mentioned).
I was also sad that Nattie didn’t participate in the match. She would have made a better figure than some of the other girls, and they could use this as a Face Turn for Natalya (blaming Michelle for the lost or whatever). Maybe they will do that with Beth, I don’t know, but I would like to see her in a Tag with Mickie.

My friend and I went to SS last night in DC and we had a good time, but the booking didn’t make a lot of sense to us. What did the show set up? Where were the twists and turns? Look at the results, does anything stand out? Jericho and Big Show were obviously going to get mad at each other and Undertaker was going to retain. Cena over DX is no surprise (although the match was entertaining) because they need both Cena/ DX to balance RAW. Everybody knew Kofi was going to win given his recent push. The Miz team had all the young talent so they would have multiple survivors. And the Divas match was “fine” at best. Why crush Gail Kim like that?? Why have Beth lose on a simple crucifix after building her all these weeks (UGH!!!!)? Whatever happened to Alicia looking strong? Layla has been a decent character recently and she was squashed early. For a Survivor Series we were a little disappointed…it felt no bigger than Bragging Rights or another mid-level PPV.

Regarding Gail Kim and WWE … Vince McMahon must have forgotten that it was him who released Gail Kim in November 2004, because he wanted to take the Diva’s division in another direction. Gail Kim didn’t ask for her release or quit. Vince McMahon needs to lose hard on for punishing Gail Ki for going to TNA Wrestling and having a life after WWE. Gail Kim is one of the top WRESTLERS that WWE has, and if they are not careful she could be showcasing her talent back in the Six Sided ring again soon.

It’s unlikely that she will go back. The knockouts dont make much money in TNA, they even have to work indy shows besides their TNA work to get some extra income. TNA had her, but they decided to invest their money in Jenna Moresco instead of paying the knockouts a normal salary. And dont forget that Gail is 33 years old already. If she leaves WWE it’s likely that she will retire from wrestling, or maybe work some indy shows where she can make a nice amount of money (like Jacqueline’s occasional appearances).
