The upcoming third season of Celebrity Apprentice finished shooting last week, freeing up SmackDown Diva, Maria to return to the ring at anytime. The timing couldn’t be more perfect as lone babyface, Mickie James needs an equalizer against Michelle McCool and Layla.
Now isn’t that something to be thankful for?

Well…it would be something to be thankful, if her ring qualities were enough to face the Heel side. And lets face it…Maria might be popular for being an eye candy and for her “dumb” character, but in wrestling skills she still is really weak. And I doubt that she has improved while at the reality show, because her daily trainings must have been lower.

SD’s roster is thin. It’s Mickie, 4 heels, and the local jobber of the week. Hate her or love her, Maria coming back is a plus. The heels need someone to face every so often to break the cycle. And Mickie can’t do redundant diva tag matches by herself.

It’s good to have a face back onside, and Maria is popular with the fans, it’s just a shame she couldn’t come back and kick some serious heel ass.

OMG, I love the way people are so negative in here…who the buck am I kiddin’, we all know she’ll ruin matches over and over again, I really hope she has improved a bit, but that’s impossible since she was doing nothing in there besides pretending to be someone she’s not in order to make people like her more!
I think she should stick to selling WWE without wrestling, just doing what Eve has been doin’ lately, even tho Kelly would be better at that since she’s arguably hotter, but let Maria do it, she’s one of the most famous divas atm and she has nothing more to dedicate her time to [we hope].

I’ve never been a fan of Maria BUT I do recognize how popular she is with the fans. I think that I agree with Pedro that she should just be there to “sell” the WWE. It’s not necessary for her to wrestle; she’ll still be popular regardless. That’s a whole lot more to say for her than some other wrestlers get. She’s very fortunate to be so popular when there are those who wrestle their butts off and don’t get half the reaction she does.

Put Maria interviewing again. Her interviews her kinda silly and funny and it would be better for her just to that and only participate in tag matches as a background Diva.

Somehow I don’t see Maria being a convincing heroine for the plight of Mickie James. In fact, I was more convinced that Celebrity Apprentice was a vehicle for Maria to leave WWE and pursue other things.

So glad she’s coming back. The divas need some help on Smackdown. I know a lot of people don’t like her cuz they say she’s not a great wrestler, but she brings life to the crowd every time she comes out and she’s funny. Maybe not always intentionally, but her mannerisms are funny.
I like her better when she’s not just doing backstage stuff though. She’s always entertaining in the matches, even when she botches stuff. I mean, come on, if Kelly Kelly can get matches ALL THE TIME, why can’t Maria?

It is good to see her back for the reason it allows Mickie to stop having to look mopey because she can’t confide in anyone. But honestly? I just see her as replacing Eve as Cryme Tyme’s arm candy (which seems to be the way forward if House results are anything to go by) and moaning on about how perfect Dolph is, unless they’ve abadanoned that storyline now they aren’t pushing him anymore. I did hear that they wanted Beth to become his other woman, which could lead to a Maria/Beth feud (though I use the term ‘feud’ loosely)
She’ll get a win over Layla maybe to get the fans on side and that’s about it, she’ll be attacked by Michelle to provoke reaction from Mickie to hype their feud. But to be honest it just seems the same old for her. At least she’ll have time to make herself a new glove however…or maybe something fashionable?

Good to see Maria last night at the Upper Marlboro house show. She looked great and had a sweet catfight with Natalya…the crowd loved that. I was a little confused why she came out with Cryme Tyme though.
