Diva Dirt Style Jury: Week of November 23rd, 2009

Welcome to the Diva Dirt Style Jury! No more are the separate ‘Best’ and ‘Worst’ lists, instead we have come up with a scientific approach *cough* to compiling our weekly fashion column. The Diva Dirt team will weigh in on the different looks from the week gone by & mark each look with a score out of ten. The look with the highest average score will be our best look and the look with the lowest average score will be the worst look. Click each photo to see the look in full size.

BETH PHOENIX
Erin: The phoenix on the tights kind of looks like a slapped-on decal. The whole thing is rather dull–I really prefer Beth’s more colorful outfits. 5/10
Melanie: I’m not a huge fan of her brightly coloured Glamasuits [the red, blue and green ones] but I much prefer them to this. They have more spark and personality. 4/10
Steven: Nice to see The Glamazon getting back to some normal ring gear. Those shiny numbers were kicking my ass. Nothing different from the norm here, but Beth looks great nonetheless. 7/10

EVE TORRES
Erin: The silver and black aren’t anything special, but I still like the shorts Eve wrestles in. Maybe if there were more color in it, it’d look more interesting. 6/10
Melanie: I really dislike Eve’s ring gear; the shorts could be cute but the tops are just awful. 5/10
Steven: Same gear, different color. This silver one is a tad bland though. I definitely prefer her other metallic corsets over this one. 6/10

JILLIAN
Erin: Jillian’s ring gear is usually the most boring of all the Divas’ looks, but this color is definitely unique. I like that shade of powder blue, but it’s a bit overwhelming without another color to break it up a bit. 6/10
Melanie: Bland. 4/10
Steven: I don’t know why, but blondes in powder blue really do it for me. The design is nothing special, but the color makes it. 7/10

KELLY KELLY
Erin: I don’t like this ring gear concept at all. The shorts are okay, but the top is a little too “look at my boobs!”. I’m not feeling the gold color either. 5/10
Melanie: Horrible colour and the top is just horrible also. 4/10
Steven: Not a fan of the greenish-yellowish color. Or the sequined bra… 5/10

LAYLA
Erin: The straps manage to look even more bondage-y in white compared to black. The white and purple don’t go together well at all, and having the details be white just make the whole outfit look kind of garish. It’s not very flattering to the figure, either. 4/10
Melanie: Not a huge fan of this colour but it compliments Layla, kinda. 6/10
Steven: I’m still on the fence regarding the design of Layla’s new gear, but I really like the color on this one. 5/10

MARYSE
Erin: I think Maryse forgot to put on pants. Eh, maybe they just didn’t fit under the Gobbledy Gooker costume. The shoes are nice, but I reaaalllly would’ve liked to see some pants. The shiny sequin stripes aren’t that great, either. It looks like a trashy party dress shortened into a tank top. 5/10
Melanie: Maryse looked fierce! The top was gorgeous, the sandals were epic and amazing — downside was the shorts, they could have been a tad longer. They were practically underwear! Good thing her legs look amazing. 8/10
Steven: If Maryse is trying to pass that as a dress, she failed miserably. However, those sexy ass shoes distract from the fact that her cheeks are hanging out. 7/10

MELINA
Erin: I can’t help but get kind of a Power Ranger vibe with the hexagon on her top. I don’t really like all the random shapes going on here. I do like the shade of blue, but I just can’t get past the fact that she looks like she’s channelling Tony Stark and his arc reactor here. 6/10
Melanie: I think this could have been cute if we had more of a mix of silver and that shade of blue. There’s far too much blue & makes it Power Ranger-y. 6/10
Steven: I’m partial to all shades of blue, so I particularly like this gear. The brightness is a little much, but it still looks great. 8/10

MICHELLE MCCOOL
Erin: Well.. That’s a unique neckline for ring gear. It actually looks like evening wear modified to wear in the ring. I’m kind of torn as to whether I like it or not. Maybe if the neck piece didn’t look tacked-on (it’s too sheer compared to the rest of the piece), it’d look a bit more like wrestling gear. I like the concept, though. 7/10
Melanie: Don’t like the halterneck at all, but beyond that it’s a very safe outfit. 5/10
Steven: I really hope this outfit isn’t a sign of things to come, because that boob tube/turtleneck top is not working. At all. 4/10

MICKIE JAMES
Erin: Is that a furry leopard print jacket, and I’m not watching one of those trashy VH1 shows? Eek.. 4/10
Melanie: Mickie usually dresses ‘out there’, she dresses to the beat of her own drum I guess, but I’m not a fan of this. The jacket looks gaudy. Come on Mickie, show some glamour! 4/10
Steven: Not a fan of leopard print, but Mickie is looking hot. Her accessories are usually a bit much, but this week they were the perfect compliment. 9/10

ROSA MENDES
Erin: Everyone and their mother has worn one of those bandage dresses, and most of them have looked better than this. The harsh orange color just doesn’t look good in this style, and those cowboy boots come out of nowhere. It just does not go well together at all. Now that I think about it, I don’t think those boots would go well with anything. 3/10
Melanie: Don’t like the colour, hate the boots but I love the shape of the dress on Rosa. 6/10
Steven: This outfit would have been a 9 or 10 had it not been for those ugly ass cowboy boots. The dress is damn near perfect, but those boots have got to go. This was the perfect opportunity to bust out some sexy stilettos and Rosa missed it… 8/10
