WWE has signed a new Diva in former Playboy model Jillian Beyor. The official FCW website is advertising their newest Diva as appearing at a special meet and greet before this Friday’s Christmas Chaos show. Now, it’s not 100% certain that Jillian has a WWE contract just yet, but I doubt a Playboy model would have any desire to train at FCW if there wasn’t a plan in place for a leap to the WWE. Also, as far as we know, only contracted talents train at FCW, so there’s that.
Boyer was Playboy’s 2008 Model of the Year (not to be confused with the Playmate of the Year title, but don’t ask me what the difference is) and appeared on the 5th season of CW’s reality show Beauty and the Geek. I think you’ll agree with me when I say that that was an extremely classy question (yes, that was sarcasm), but Jillian handled that decently. Though her Playboy involvement may skew your decision, how do you feel about this signing? Personally, I was hoping that the WWE was moving away from the model hires. Hiring a Playboy model seems to be heading in the completely wrong direction, in my opinion. Yes, WWE Divas have posed in Playboy many times, but that was after they established some sort of credibility in the company. Doing it in the reverse order certainly isn’t that same thing.

what happened to the wwe going PG?
it seems pretty counter productive to hire someone because they’ve been in playboy when you’re trying to project a more pg image…
on a side note, wrestling shouldn’t be PG…wrestling is about two guys (or girls) kicking each others asses…it’s not for kids…
Ugh. With Serena, Aj, Zvilvie and a tryout for Becky Bayless WWE were going in the right direction. But this is a step back. Judging from her activities like a reality show, she is into it for media attention and probably never even watched wrestling.
She could end up being a “Rosa Mendes” or a “Alicia Fox” for all we know. I’ll make my judgement later when I see some matches in the future.

As far as Jillian goes they called her FCW Newest diva, as long as she has the desire to wrestle i have no problem with her training to wrestle. We saw some greats come from modeling Trish, Torrie, and Victoria.
She has the personality of a brick wall.I can’t wait to hear the,”Oh,I grew up with three older brothers and we only had one bathroom so,….(Laughs).Plus we watched wrestling every week!” story…..again.

Those 3 were fitness models that competed at the top of the industy, so they already had the right attitude to work daily to improve. This Jillian however is a playboy model who likes to appear on reality shows. So this might become the next Ashley or Jenna Morasco.
I believe people CAN train at FCW without being under contract, but WWE keeps a close eye on them also. Anyway, she looks good. I don’t mind WWE hiring some models now since they’re actually giving trained women’s wrestlers chances also.

Overall look wise the girl is killing it she better never have babies or she can say goodbye to that stomach lol jk. She’s not unfamiliar to WWE either as she was used as a prop during backstage segments featuring John Morrison and Kevin Federline way back when. She has a photo of it on her myspace, I’ll judge her completely when i see her in matches but I’m sure she wont spend much time in developmental especially with her looks.
Looks too much like Eve, except not as pretty. Or like Joy Giovanni. Just going by her looks alone, she won’t stand out from the other women so will need to have charisma or end up able to pick up wrestling well to become something in WWE.
There’s some gorgeous girls in SHIMMER that actually know how to wrestle!! That’s all I’ve got to say…

but playmate of the year is like winning the lottery
you get a expensive car or motor bike (it may be 1 of each cant remember)
some sort of contract, and a huge check, and another shoot in the magazine (i think)
lets hope she can take to the ring well

unfortunately (or not), most women wrestlers do indeed have some form of modeling background. and i do hate that she’ll likely have this playboy tag overshadowing any potential wwe career (for instance, this article could easily have been titled wwe signs a new talent) but i hope for her sake, as well as my own, that she is not another maria in the making.

PedroPedroso17-There are no shimmer girls that are gorgeous,all the good looking girls were either signed by WWE already(serena) or signed by TNA(alissa flash madison rayne sarita),the rest of girls are okay looking but nothing that WWE would be interested in,it’s the truth.WWE NEVER signs from shimmer,sure they have a few divas that WERE in shimmer but WWE never goes straight up and hires a girl from shimmer,serena was the exception because WWE has had there eye on her for a while and was only a coincidence that she worked in shimmer
as for the signing,I’LL SAY IT AGAIN,WWE WANTS GOOD LOOKING WOMEN,they don’t care if they can wrestler or not,THEY WANT GOOD LOOKING WOMEN and oddly most women that can wrestler and have experience are not good looking
the good news is that if FCW has to many divas,they will eventaully have to start calling them up to the main roster and who knows,maybe your favorite will get called up

is there really any difference between a playboy model who likes to be on tv and win competitions and a fitness model who likes to be in magazines and win competitions? really?
maybe we should all wait to see her wrestling/training before we judge on what her career’s already made up of. and even then, i doubt the gails and melinas were doing backflips and moonsaults and defying allsorts of gravity after their first few sessions.
I agree with Kaledrine, every wrestler starts out not knowing how to do anything, but they train to get better that is why WWE but there models in development for a year or so. And RKOyou with the rumor of ECW becoming something new and kind of like Superstars it looks more like some divas will be released.

I Honestly do not know why WWE gets these models women that have no clue about wrestling or the business. This girl is probably to get an acting gig, and doesnt care or have respect for the business. In my opinion, all the divas in the wwe have no talent what so ever, they either came from a diva search, or on reality shows. No divas have never earned their respect as other superstars, climbing the ladder, sleeping in cars, making no or little money, working indy shows. WWE needs to stop with these fake, wanna be divas, and get real women wrestlers, that know the business. This girl is just a waste of television and time in the WWE.
I sure hope you don’t literally mean all the divas don’t have talent and just the few diva search contestants.

Can we atleast give this woman the benefit of the doubt? All we really know abou her is that she’s a brunette Playboy model. The last Playboy model in Maryse is doing pretty good for herself.
On the bright side, she’s much hotter then the Jillian on Raw.

Serena, Alissa, Madison are all good looking, but none of them have the typical model look. There are plenty of Shimmer girls that fit the same categorie (or better): Nicole Matthews, Jennifer Blake, Jessie McKay (100% diva material), Neveah, Melanie Cruise, Rain, Amber O’Neal, Lacey, Sassie Stephie. All those names can easily compete with the Divas/Knockouts when it comes to looks.
Next time, write: “In my humble opinion, there are no gorgeous women in shimmer”. Because just because a 16 year kid doesnt think they are good looking, dont mean other (older, more mature) people agree on that.

Personally, I do feel that this is a step moving backwards. As marginalized as the Divas are right now, I really wish the WWE would care about female wrestling fans (who also watch the WWE) enough to give us more wrestlers like Gail Kim/Beth Phoenix who can actually wrestle while being beautiful at the same time. There’s a lot more divas that I like, but really its because they’re entertaining in other ways. Some women right now are just above valet-status, and that’s NOT meant to take a crack at them. I just feel it’d be better if they didn’t put them in the ring until they were better, because if you keep putting awful women wrestlers into the ring then it makes the idea of women wrestling look bad (to those who don’t bother to look outside WWE).
