I think Savannah has this one in the bag! Honestly, this was her year, she’s probably the most talented wrestler in WWE at the moment and she’s done so much during this year, she’s obviously “Diva of the year”!
I don’t know PedroPedroso, Savannah may be good, but Nikki Bella’s got this one locked down… ;)
It’ll probably be Melina. I’ve already pretty much bargained on her winning, then Maryse taking a cheap shot at her. If it’s not Melina, then Mickie James, Maryse or Michelle McCool. I’m hoping it’s Michelle, but I doubt it will be.
I predict it will probably be either Melina, Mickie, Michelle or Maryse (the M-Squad).
But it really should be Beth Phoenix or Gail Kim. Both were always around this year except for a minor injury for Gail and Beth disappearing for a few months. And both rarely lost in 2009. Beth lost a few times to Santina earlier this year, and Gail only got pinned cleanly twice. So both have the best track record in 2009. And more importantly, both make their opponents look good, even if its Kelly Kelly. So these 2 divas deserve it the most, but i doubt either of them get it.
as much as i don’t like her, i have to admit that michelle mccool has had one hell of a year…

& just thoght I’d bring up the fact that Gail Kim hasn’t had a photoshoots in a LONG TIME, even though the few she has taken have been some of the best this year.

I’m hoping it’ll be Michelle McCool. Her heel turn this year really did it for her IMO. But realistically it’ll probably be Melina, since she had the comeback story of the year.
to clarify, the winners are voted in-house by wwe, right? if that is the case, it’ll pretty obviously be one of the mikas named m-squad, even if maryse did spend a main part of the year out of action (that damn depression, huh). however i would love if one of the lesser (for lack of a better word) divas were acknowledged, such as gail kim, alicia, natalya or even jillian.
in any case, jillian definitely deserves best comedy act if it returns. i’d love to know who may be up for couple of the year, again if it’s returning for a second run.

Probably Mccool…she has had the title for so long and she is so pushed that it seems the most reliable option. Next, maybe Melina.
Since each award last year (except Superstar of the Year) had 4 nominees and the TV ad for this year’s show is displaying 4 different matches for Match of the Year and 4 Divas for Diva of the Year, I’m assuming the 4 Divas shown in the ad (Mickie, Maryse, Kelly, Melina) will be the nominees.
Going on that, I think it’s a toss up between Maryse and Melina. They could go the obvious route with Maryse where she wins and starts bringing the trophy to the ring with her all the time. Last year, the biggest Slammies (Superstar, Tag Team, Diva) were all won by heels so that they could brag about them. On the other hand, Melina could win, which could add something extra to her current angle.

I laugh at the fact that people think Brie has more chance of winning the Slammy more than Nikki as if either of them actually stand a chance. The poll should’ve just been between the Four M’s because that’s all WWE care about right now and probably for the best half of next year whilst they’re at it.
I think it’s between McCool & Melina, but since they went with the big heel last year, I’ll say Melina for this one. :D

It’s going to be Mickie James, Michelle McCool or Melina. Michelle McCool made history by becoming the first ever WWE Women’s Champion & Diva’s Champion; thats pretty impressive. And Melina is the WWE’s golden girl!; come on!!! getting a title opportunity when traded to RAW without even being the #1 contender….hmmm….poor jillian, they done her wrong!!!
But who knows they will probally give it to Mickie James, Why?…I really don’t know!!!
