In the latest FCW match to hit YouTube, Queen of FCW Mia Mancini teams up with Dylan Klein (and his tearaway jeans) to take on AJ Lee and Skip Sheffield. The last time Mia and AJ locked up in the squared circle, the result wasn’t very impressive. Did they step up their game or does this match share the same fate? Watch below:
In my last FCW post, I said I wasn’t fond of Mia’s new found, powerhouse heel persona, and I still feel the same. That said, I feel it worked a lot better here than it has in the past. Perhaps it’s because AJ is so small, but seeing Mia toss her around like a rag doll was more convincing than it was against other opponents.
One of the major complaints about Mia and AJ’s last match was lack of chemistry. These two definitely stepped it up in that department. Mia’s selling was on point and AJ had some really good offense. I see these two having some really good matches in the future, as they’re the most experienced Divas in FCW at the moment.
The standout moment of this match had to be the finish. AJ’s standing Sliced Bread #2 was executed perfectly and is a very unique move for a Diva to have in her arsenal. I’m sure AJ’s acrobatic, Gail Kim-esque repertoire will get her a fair amount of attention when she finally joins the main roster.
All in all, I would say (aside from Mia’s match with Gail) this is the best outing I’ve seen from either of these women since they’re debuts. Judging by the ending, it’s safe to assume this will be next big FCW Diva feud. If they can keep this up, I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

Nice finisher by AJ, but it’s not the Sliced Bread #2 as Brian Kendrink/Alex Shelley do it. This is the Asai DDT. I think it’s only called Sliced Bread if you use the turnbuckle or the ropes to help you make the rotation. She did it well, but kinda needed a lot of help from Serena to execute it, unlike Ultimo Dragon who almost makes the rotation by himself. Ultimo’s landing is also smoother (AJ lands on her knees, while Ultimo lands in a sitting position). But still nice to see a female wrestler execute that move.
Oh, appearently she calls her own finisher the Sliced Bread #2, so maybe it doesnt matter if you use the ropes/turnbuckle or not. Her version looks a lot like Sonjay Dutt’s “Sonjay Cutter”.
AJ finisher is called “aprils shower” and it’s a great finisher for her,it was the finisher I dreamed of her using
I am a fan of Mia mancini but I’m more drawn to arpil, she’s awesome
Good match.I love AJ Lee,and I’m banking on her to be my new favorite diva when the 2nd generation leaves the fray. Her finisher is awesome and matces her perfectly.Love her attire by the way.
awesome match! especially AJ’s finnisher
i want to see these 2 on smackdown
RKOyou I think the april shower is the shining wizard which she used in WSU.
I like how they focused more on the Divas than the Superstars in this match, very rare of the WWE. Quite surprised to see Mia’s streak ended, but glad its by AJ who proves worthy competition, I just wish Wade Barrett would stop slagging her off on commentary for no reason, he really needs booting back into the ring instead of making things so awkward. I thought AJ’s finisher was called Asurai or something? It won’t be called the April Shower seeing as they longer refer to her as April.
I’m a fan of Mia Mancini, despite her criticism. Its nice to see her in a heel role after years of seeing her as the fan favourite. As I said before, her technique and agression is similiar to the early years of Victoria. Given her credentials in wrestling at the age of 23, WWE would be insane not to call her up. Whilst Mia STILL hasn’t changed out of those clothes, she has changed her hair- who knows what she could change next week?
On an off point as much as I love these two, FCW aren’t paying that much attention to Courtney Taylor or its newbies Aksana, Naomi Night or Liviana. I’d like to see what these lot are up to as the Diva division seems to be becoming rather exclusive.
