The culimination of a career-changing year has led to Tara becoming the Knockouts Champion just in time for Christmas.

The fairytale ending to Tara’s year occured just moments ago at TNA’s Final Resolution pay per view when she defeated ODB in the scheduled Knockouts match. Despite twice teasing the Widow’s Peak, Tara eventually won the match with a rollup.

Tara joins Awesome Kong and Angelina Love in the ranks of multi-time Knockouts Champions.

  1. looks like christmas came early for terra ^_^

  2. Ha! I knew she would win! She deserves it! A decent match.

  3. tara sorry XD

  4. I didn’t like the match at all because of ODB. But I’m happy that Tara won so please TNA let Hamada or Alissa Flash get into the title picture.

  5. I am not sure what I think about the match. It just didn’t seem to click to me.

Also, Tara or whatever she is calling herself these days, her matches have really fallen flat when she isn’t the jobber. Which has been her whole TNA run so far. I don’t know what it is, but her offense keeps looking bad. Maybe because she doesn’t have a convincing seller to toss around ala Trish.

  6. Really glad to see Tara as champ again. Hopefully she can have a longer reign this time. Congratulations to her!

  7. Yay for her! Hopefully her next challenger will be either Alissa Flash, Hamada, or Daffney.

  8. im happy for her lets hope they let her keep it for more than 3 weeks this time.

  9. I agree with you ebmich. Besides that one match with Awesome Kong, I haven’t really gotten the whole Tara-TNA feel yet. I’m not in anyway calling her TNA career a sham thus far, but it just seems a little lackluster. Her matches are mediocre at best, and I’m not amazingly behind this “gracious” persona she’s portraying. Which is probably her real-life personality, and that’s wonderful but I prefer a bad ass Tara.

Other than Sarita, Hamada & Alissa Flash – TNA Knockout matches, as good as the performers are – just aren’t doing it for me. I don’t think it has anything to do with the performers itself, but I probably just prefer WWE’s story-telling based matches rather than the usual spot-fest TNA goes for.

  10. Yay ODBs reign of undeserving terror is finally over :D

  11. im so much happy that tara won the title shes my all time favorite go lisa

  12. When did they rehire that referee? I remember them firing him and everyone going crazy lol. They must be on a rehiring streak.

  13. Haven’t seen the match yet, but I’m glad she won. I agree with Shannymac – Alissa Flash, Hamada or Daffney next :) I’m thinking it might be Hamada after the huge push she’s got recently.

  14. I feel they jumped the gun a little, she should have won at the next PPV imo.

  15. I agree with Mpezza. I think they should’ve waited just a liiiittle longer to give Tara the title so they could give it to her properly. I understand they wanna continue the Tara-ODB feud but they could have done so by allowing ODB to pickup the win by cheating. Winning the KO title by a fluke rollup just seems…. kinda weak IMO.

  16. thts cool im so happy for tara she deserves the best…in my opinion tara is one of the best female wrestlers ever

  17. im happy for Tara because of how she was treated by the end of her WWE career, but i think there are more deserving knockouts for the title like hamada or alissa flash.. they’re great wrestlers and would be great for tna’s new roster change. using younger homegrown talent,

  18. MarBu13,

I think the problem with Tara is that everyone who is a fan has been whining and crying about “how she deserves more!” anytime she jobbed to someone who came in through the Diva Search. And the truth is.. She’s really not that good.
