As mentioned earlier today, Amber O’Neal and Lorelei Lee were two of the names we confirmed last week. The initial idea was to have them work as a team, more specifically, work as Team Blondage. It looks like TNA opted to put Lee with Hunter instead.
Let’s hope Hamada wins the Knockouts tournament. No one needs ODB vs Tara again.
EDIT: What in the actual fuck?! So ODB, instead of just invoking her freakin’ rematch clause, wrestles three times in one night for the same opportunity? Lame as hell. And frankly, no one wants to see this feud continue. The match at last night’s PPV was bad enough.
i’m surprised to see two “unknowns” wrestling eachother, even if it doesn’t appear to be as part of the tournament. i heard it was a terribly botched finish though, which sucks.

I think that the ODB/Kong match might be good, but I just cannot stand ODB.

i dont know if i just didnt see any of her matches but ODB just dosent have that wow factor like if you where to name all the knockouts you might forget her. but i would have liked to see some alissa flash action.
it sounds like they may be continuing the kong/hamada team, perhaps. but giving the no.1 contendership to somebody who technically already was the no.1 contender (due to the rematch clause) is a bit, well, stupid.
i agree, paparazzi. i love that she gets bigger cheers from the audience than some if not most of the guys, but i just don’t get what others see in her.. unless it’s the whole drinking alcohol is, like, totally kewl stuff? lol
the matches I wanna see are Madison rayne vs. hamada(should be a good match but kinda a squash),Roxxi vs. Velvet sky(because Roxxi is in and seeing lacey attack Roxxi should be amusing),kong vs. daffney( I hope it wasn’t a sqaush),saritaylor in action,and Roxxi vs. hamada
April Hunter has never been in Shimmer, and unless hell freezes over i doubt we will ever see her there ;-)

This tournament doesnt really look interesting, i was hoping for a tournament of Knockouts vs Indies, but we got more of the same. And No Alissa in the tournament? And a TBP-Roxxi feud has also been done :(

Maybe that will at least force WWE to have a decent divas match on January 4th.. maybe. It would’ve been more of a push if it was Hamada or Kong though.
Somewhere Homicide is sitting hiding his face! I am willing to bet that the match between Amber O’Neal/Lizzy Valentine will not see the light of day. Very disappointed with the “talent” that TNA Wrestling decided to bring in for this show, hopefully this is the only appearances for April “Wonder Wh0re” Hunter and Lizzy “Juvi’s Girlfriend” Valentine. I have never seen Lorelei Lee work, and I don’t care for Amber O’Neal much. TNA Wrestling should have had Hamada win the tournament, then have ODB come out claiming she is the rightful Number One Contender simply for storyline purposes.
I would’ve gone for a Sarita-Tara or Alissa-Tara match for 1/4. ODB is unable to carry Tara to a good match, while Sarita and Alissa rarely have bad matches. And if you want to impress potential new viewers (who will zap in out of curiosity) you want the best match possible, and with ODB-Tara thats not going to happen (see the PPV).
Wow they bring in 4 none signed wrestlers, yet they dont even use all of there signed female wrestlers (Alissa Flash, which i dont know why they never) also i thought DIVA DIRT reprted that Brittany Carter was booked to appear at the tapings and also what was the point of Amber ONeil and Lizzy Valentine match. Also i was expecting more out of this tounrament and i hate this ODB and Tara feud,
I believe that Alissa Flash has an injury to her foot and was unable to compete. On her twitter page she posted that she walked on broken glass Christmas ornaments in her bare feet.
All I can say is that I am very disappointed. I would have honestly rather seen almost anyone besides ODB win. Her and Tara’s matches have been less than stellar.

Most people who watch TNA (or at least TNA’s target crowd) never heard of 90% percent the Knockouts used in this taping. You don’t put two people (no matter how good they are) in the main event and try to sell it to viewers who don’t know them.
Tara is the most known chick they have, which sucks because she’s proving how overrated she’s been all these years. lol
hahah looks like Tara owned ODB,I don’t know why ODB keeps calling Tara a ‘diva’,it was ODB who tried to become a WWE diva and failed after they kept telling her she didn’t look like a diva,it’s obvious ODB is jealous because Tara made it as a diva and she didn’t
Like someone had already said, ODB should of faced Tara in a rematch during the taping and let the other ladies wrestle in the tournament.
And a HUGE WTF to TNA for not even putting Alissa in the tournament. She’s TNA’s new SoJo and it’s really a damn shame because Melissa is a hell of a performer. I’ve seen her wrestle 6 times and she’s never fail to blow me away. She deserves better than the way TNA’s treating. Freakin Ridiculous.

Why is Amber overrated? Nobody claims she is on the same level as Melissa/MsChif/SDR, thats not the kind of wrestler she is. She relies on other aspects of wrestling. She has the mean girl gimmick mastered to perfection, Maryse/Angelina/Michelle can learn a lot from her. You don’t need to do high flying moves, or know 1000+ different kinds of holds to be a good wrestler, but what she does she does excellent.
I agree on Lizzy Valentine though, she is fun, has charisma but is more in the Sunny/Sable categorie, a valet who knows some basic wrestling. But since TNA is steadily moving away from what the knockout division was in 2007/2008 she fits in.
This is BS. How do Velvet Sky and Traci Brooks get into this tournament when Alissa isn’t even on the show? What is the point of Lizzy Valentine vs. Amber O’Neal in a completely random match? And the whole point is to get ODB another title shot when her last match with Tara wasn’t even that good? What the hell is the point? And no Sara Del Rey?!?!
This show is on New Year’s Eve, so viewership is likely to be limited. Making a new star wasn’t the best idea with few people watching, and TNA had the challenge of doing something without really doing something. That’s how you end up with ODB vs. Tara.
I’m thinking 1/4 will be the blow off of the feud, and I’m just happy I will get to see an evening of women’s matches. Should be fun.
I wouldnt be surprised if TNA dont sign Lizzy because Lizzy was with the company back in 2003 and was the tag team partner of Traci and Nurse Veronica in a group called Bicth Slap, so maybe they plan on bringing back that group, i loved them there where funny and plus tracy is doing nothin now she is was be a good feud with TBP and Sarita and Taylor, but Lizzy will be like LVE

She didn’t even say her foot was injured. All that was said was that she stepped on an ornament that had already been smashed by her cat. I’m sure if she were injured she would of said so.

Its a 2 hour show, the other 2 hours are “best off 2009 matches”.
But i think you are giving TNA too much credit. Do you really want to know why we are getting a knockout-centered evening? The knockouts barely make enough money to pay the rent, some even have to work extra indy shows to make some decent money (they dont get paid if they arent used). Since nobody is watching on new years eve, TNA doesnt make much money that day, so what better way to save production costs to only use cheap knockouts instead of expensive stars.
Mikas you are so full of shit and have NO clue what you are talking about. TNA Knockout’s hardly ever take outside bookings unless they want to and most don’t have another job or then TNA Wrestling. If you theory was true then why do most of the Knockout’s ONLY work for TNA Wrestling and nothing more?

I for one am grateful we’re being given a show that’s nothing but Knockouts matches. Regardless of the results, this should be really fun to watch.
