Former Knockouts Champion, Angelina Love could be making a surprise return to TNA on January 4th as part of the big three-hour live episode of Impact. Reports are being attributed to news site Declaration of Independents, the lead writer of which is also the promoter of Women Superstars Uncensored, who recently used Angelina Love at their DVD tapings.
Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also writes that TNA are looking to bring Love back in 2010.
Love’s release was possibly the biggest women’s wrestling bombshell of the year, she was let go in September after TNA discovered that she had been working under an expired visa. Prior to her departure, she had been a two time Knockouts Champion, both won this past year. Meanwhile, she and Velvet Sky were rumoured to be in line to become the first Knockouts Tag Team Champions, an honour which later went to Sarita and Taylor Wilde after Love’s release.
This is definitely a good look for TNA. Roll on January 4th!

The quality of any knockout match goes down when angelina is in the match,I have never seen anyone on this site applaud for any angelina love match. She only got this attention because she got released,when she was around,I didn’t see anyone jumping up and down for her

There were many sites and fans crediting the work that Angelina was doing with TBP and saw her as their strongest member. She was certainly better than Velvet and Madison both in-ring wise and on the mic. And TNA obviously agreed since they gave her the title.
This going to be the first big news of 2010 for sure!

Angelina has had some amazing matches. She IS the best worker of out herself, Madison and Velvet. She has wrestling ability AND can deliver one hell of a promo, which is something that seems to be lacking women in both the WWE and TNA.
Im glad shes comming back, and if LVE get’s sent packing, fine by me. Unlike Angelina, LVE has NOTHING to offer TNA that they cannot do with any of the other women backstage. She cannot wrestle. The only thing going for her is he dumb blonde gimmick, and even then. Im already tired of her.

Angelina is not one of my favorites, but she is easily THE best female wrestler on the planet when you consider she combines wrestling ability, charisma, looks, and mic ability. No one else is close. She is the perfect package.
Sara Del Rey might be a better wrestler, but has zero personality and negative charisma. Mischif has wrestling ability, some charisma, but lacks the looks and mic ability of Love. Velvet Sky has the looks and charisma, but lacks the wrestling ability. Tara lacks Love’s charisma. Everyone has a flaw. And I won’t bring up all those Divas that tried to ape Love’s mean girl act like Michelle McCool and failed miserably since they have no charisma or ability to cut a promo.
Love is the one girl out here who could be a huge mainstream star and force fans to take women’s wrestling seriously as a big event. She should be holding belt not long from now.
A babyface Love vs. Alissa, Hamada, or Kong over the title could main event a PPV. But right now I would do Love/Madison vs. Saritaylor to bring back the KO tag team belts.

When she was still around I didn’t really care much for her (although i liked her in DSW), but that was mainly because there was an overkill of TBP. But when she was gone and saw what a mess the knockout division had become without her (& Gail), I actually started to miss her. I do hope that the TNA writers aren’t going to repeat themselves again by making everything revolve around TBP, pushing all other knockouts to the background.

I’ll have to agree with the pro Angie folks, that girl is the poo, so all you haters need to take a big whiff lol. She can wrestle, cut a promo, and has personality, not to mention she’s one of the few “lookers” in the Knockouts division, she’s the perfect little wrestling package. TNA would be crazy not to bring her back, I don’t see how anyone could have anything negative to say about her. I swear, I don’t understand wrestling fans, you all want someone who is a well rounded wrestler yet berate the few the companies have and are constantly finding something wrong with a perfectly good wrestler who brings a lot to matches and backstage segments. I’ve missed her terribly.. her funny arse backstage promos always had me nearly in tear’s.. she’s truely a God of a Wrestler – she does it all folks, the Image, Mic skills,Wrestling ability, and personality.

That’s a pretty humorous meltdown by RKOyou. Love was only like one of the most over and entertaining acts in TNA upon her departure.
As for LVE, she can’t hack it yet(if ever.) Doesn’t belong in the act. And hasn’t done anything to make her exit unjust whether Angelina returns or not.
Anyway,I hope Angel is coming back. Be it January 4th,or as shortly thereafter as possible. She has it all. Speaking talent,charisma,ring skills,ability to get over,and a good look. She possesses the raw goods to be the Knockout’s take on a longterm top notch all arounder if the fed lets her.
I like Angelina, and the Knockouts division will benefit from having her back. Hopefully, they kick out Madison, but Lacey in her old place and repair Velvet and Angelina. I think that might be the best idea. :]
But, I don’t think Angelina is a god by any means. She is a good combination of those four things, but isn’t the best at ANY of them. First, female wrestler can cut a promo like Maryse can. Even if she can’t wrestle for shit, she can cut the BEST promo. I mean come on, how many diva’s can really get a whole stadium booing? Angelina is pretty, but she isn’t the prettiest. I may not like Lacey Von Erich, but she is GORGEOUS; their is no denying that. And, I don’t think Angelina would even make top five on looks. As for wrestling, she isn’t top ten there, she is toward the bottom in TNA as far as skill goes and even WWE has a handful of girls who can wrestle better than her.
Also, I think their are a few girls who meet the package criteria: Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Melina, Taylor Wilde, Allissa Flash, and Jillian (who also does comedy quite well). Angelina is good, but she BY FAR isn’t the best. Also, I think Madison has always, or as long as she had been present, been the standout among The Beautiful People.
I really disagree with several things in the last post. Just touching on some of them:
Maryse does not yet have better,or even as good,mic skills as Angelina Love. Angel is more adept at playing lead on skits and character work. Maryse is good,but generally better at playing more Velvet type roles. Hence why her stuff opposite Miz was generally better than most of her other material.
LVE looks approximately like other blonde model types. There nothing that stands out about her. She’s attractive, but pretty generic. She doesn’t gain any additional sex appeal ala Sophia Loren quote points either.
I like Taylor too. But there’s no way with her mic skills she meets the whole package criteria in the same way Angelina does. Melina isn’t that adept on the mic either usually. Alissa is cool but not yet notable for her mic work really. Mickie hasn’t gone through many good times recently herself. Though at one time she rated higher,the ability is there,and she might be headed upward again with a change of scenery. Madison is a quality ringer with nice potential. She doesn’t define the Beautiful People more than Angelina (or Velvet) do though.
Upon her release, Love was easily one of the best all around ladies in either fed.

When Angelina love comes back, if she actually does, im worried b’cos i can see a fued for the leader of TBP, Angelina vs Lacey. That match will be awful on Lacey’s behalf. Angelina will win, then Lacey will go. Unless when she returns, TBP becomes a 4 member team? Velvet & Madison will become KTTC & Angelina will take her rightful place as top heel knockout again. TNA hasn’t been the same without her. So if you don’t like Angelina Love, keep your opinions to yourself b’cos to me, she was there best knockout on the roster. She is the best female wrestler on the mic. Sorry for the long essay but this is how much i love Angelina Love & just hopes she makes her return to TNA on Jan. 4th :)

Also, while I’m thinking about it Tara has okay mic skills, aside from looking a little old sometimes is very pretty, is a WONDERFUL wrestler, and the crowd loves her. I think Tara is the full package, and is the right girl to package as the top babyface for now. Also, she is able to have some GREAT matches.

Edazon – I simply disagree. I do give her credit for learning English. And for working toward improving in general. And think she has potential overall. But at this stage her material lacks a certain polish or brilliance that someone like Love’s has. Honestly, I generally like Velvet’s promo or vid related material as much or more than virtually anything I’ve heard from Maryse. And Velvet,good as she is,isn’t as good as Angelina.

She just doesn’t “project” well imo. It’s like looking at a typical magazine chick. They have base good looks,but too often nothing extra or memorable to make them stand out. I would never call her special or unique. Which is more the style of the Knockouts, as opposed to the recent divas or diva hopefuls,generally.

I enjoyed it too. I still wouldn’t class it or her charisma in quite the same all arounder manner as Trish,Angelina,Beth,Katie Lea(who is sadly underused for her talent),etc.

Disagree here. Angelina worked a limited heel moveset within the gimmick recently. But she bumps and sells well. And when she was working more freely in indies and or as a face, she can go pretty well. She’s not elite,but not just mediocre either.
Madison is a fine young talent. I’d like to see her booked better as time progresses. But she wasn’t standout over Love by any means. And I don’t think it would be unfair to say Velvet is more over than her,either. As well as being more charsimatic and better on the mic. Still,I like Madison,hope she does well be it in the BP,in singles,or with another partner after a face turn. She’s young,willing,and headed in the right direction.
