The Perfect 10 is back for a year-end special, counting down the top 10 Divas and Knockouts from the year gone by. Last year, Michelle McCool was #1 on the Perfect 10 of 2008, can she make it a repeat performance? Who has had the most memorable moments & matches of 2009? Check back over the next 10 days to find out how the countdown will unfold!

ODB
In 2009, ODB developed her character far enough along to be considered a serious title challenger. The year and a portion prior, she had received title shots and been given pushes but never to the same degree as she was this year. By year’s end, ODB was one of three women to have held the Knockouts Championship for not only the first time, but a second time too.

Her first accomplishment came when she earned a Knockouts Title match against Awesome Kong in February, a rematch of the exact same match at the exact same event a year prior.

In February, she began a ‘fan contest’ called “Win a Date with ODB” which was eventually won in March by one Cody Deaner. The relationship reinforced the slapstick humour that ODB had become known for. With Deaner by her side, ODB found herself in title contention in the summer and in August, she and Deaner defeated The Beautiful People in a tag team match for the gold. After the match however, Deaner took the title — ending his relationship with ODB. The title was held up on the next episode of Impact with the two battling at September’s pay per view, No Surrender for the belt. ODB earned the title once more.

Going into the company’s biggest pay per view of the year, Bound for Glory, ODB found herself in a feud with Awesome Kong & Tara but successfully defended her belt against them.

Nearing the end of the year, the Knockouts Champion had shown a darker side to herself. After Tara became the #1 Contender for the Knockouts Title, the once fan favourite changed her stripes and entered into a bitter rivalry with the former Diva. The two eventually battled for the belt in December with Tara defeating ODB for the title.

It’s been an eventful 2009 for the Knockout. Now established as a top title contender in the Knockouts division, 2010 seems like it will be getting off to a bang for ODB.

Check back tomorrow for #4

  1. Everytime ODB appears on my tv screen she reminds me that I need to take a bath.
Either ways, she really stood out this year, last year I thought she was just a Mickey Rourke copycat gone bad. She’s pretty average inside the ring but she does play her character to perfection.

  2. ODB is a classic case of how charisma alone can get you over. as much as i don’t like the character she portrays, most divas and knockouts alike can learn a huge deal from her. i wouldn’t mind seeing her turn full blown heel next year, as she impressed me more as a heel when she first came to tna.

  3. I’m really likin’ this list!ODB had a pretty good year, and I think she can get the fans to hate her by annoying them with her loud mouth and nasty antics/taunts.

  4. Not the greatest worker but one can’t deny that she had a pretty good year. I find that I prefer her as a heel as I have long found her shtick irritating. LOL

  5. While I too, love this list. I am a little worried. There are four spots left and five deserving girls:
Angelina Love, Tara, Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Melina.

I think either Mickie or Angelina will get the shaft, which makes me sad.

Id take off Alicia and put Angelina on.

That being said, well done diva-dirt team. I love the perfect 10 and I hope it comes back weekly.

  6. LOL Pedro….ODB?????????

  7. ODB stepped up this year. Can’t wait what she does in ’010.

  8. ODB yah agree with the rank but wish her best in 2010
