2009 is nearly at an end! As with our Christmas Classics last week, over the next few days, we’ll be turning back the clock and picking out most memorable moments from the year gone by. Each day, a different team member will be sharing their most memorable moment for all of you guys to enjoy. Today’s pick is from Steven: My pick is the debuts of Sarita and Alissa Flash on the July 16th episode of Impact. For several weeks leading to this match, TNA hyped Sarita’s debut, marking the first time a Knockout received the coveted ‘Coming Soon’ vignettes. By the time the match aired, Knockouts fans were anxious to see what the Canadian luchadora brought to the table. Sarita had an impressive showing against the equally talented Alissa Flash, leaving both fans and critics begging for more. Although it was short match, Sarita vs. Alissa is many fans pick for Match of the Year. These two debuting Knockouts singlehandedly revived a division that was seriously lacking the quality it once had. Personally, this match had special meaning for me. About a year prior, I had seen these two face off in the first round of the SHIMMER title tournament in one of my favorite matches of all time. In fact, both matches had the exact same finish. Even though both women took very different paths in TNA after this match, two stars were born that Thursday and what could be more memorable than that?

I just think it ended too soon. But still one of my favorite TNA matches this year.
i agree TNA had an obvious feud right in front of them but ignored it
this match was one of the best i seen in tna. i didnt think it was short or maybe im just so used to 3 min matches lol. and i really think alissa needs a push to change it up a little because i know i dont wanna see ODB vs Tara agian huh…
I think not only the match is a memorable moment, but the whole idea of having this two amazing wrestlers [mostly Melissa, since I wasn't really aware of Sarahs work] on TNA! They did not only deliever in this match, they told one heck of a story!
This match was awesome, and yes, both ladies became stars on this night. One of my favorites moments/matches of all of 2009 from any promotion.

When a TV match can outdo great deal of the PPV matches of that year, that’s special. Much thanks to Alissa and Sarita for this gem!
this match is what made people interested in the knockouts again,these 2 brought back the life of the knockout division after Gail left,I’m so thankiful
I agree,TNA’s weekly knockout matches on impact are 10 times better then there PPV matches,the knockouts seem to choke on PPV IDK why
