2009 has just flown by, hasn’t it? It feels like only yesterday we were dishing out the Year-End Awards for 2008. But as we are on the eve of 2010, what a perfect time to convey our wishes and predictions for the year ahead! Feel free to add your own wishes and predictions in the comments!
First, just to get the wishful thinking out of the way…
Wishes for 2010
* Firstly, we really hope Melina has a speedy and/or miraculous recovery. If it is as serious as thought, Raw just won’t be the same without her.
* Allow Tara to have a long and fulfilling Knockouts Championship reign. She deserves one great run with a belt!
* Here’s hoping to a fucking decent WrestleMania match this year. [Sidebar: Beth vs Michelle if we're getting specific.]
* Dear WWE, that chick Gail Kim? She can wrestle rings around most of your men. Use her, push her, give her a title for chrissakes!
* TNA, take note: Alissa Flash. Same thing.
* Give the proverbial ball to Alicia Fox, Daffney and Eve Torres and let them run with it. They all have a lot to offer and it isn’t just their boobs.
* Dear American work visa people, please let Angelina Love come back to TNA!
* I love Saritaylor as a team but I’m kinda curious to see them in a feud. If you must break them up, give us a series of three-to-five epic matches, won’t you TNA?
* SmackDown, please don’t suffer a slump. We’re counting on you!
* Since we have just one more wish we may as well blow it on something HUGE! Title reigns for Alissa Flash, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Hamada and Natalya are a must.
Predictions after the cut:
Predictions for 2010
* It should come of no surprise that Maryse will probably hold the Divas Championship at some point in 2010.
* A fifth Women’s Championship reign for Mickie James seems likely also.
* Further title predictions: Awesome Kong (Knockouts), Kelly Kelly (Divas) and The Beautiful People (Knockouts Tag Team).
* Something tells me Mickie may not be a Diva by year’s end. [Sidebar: Hope I'm wrong.]
* Lacey Von Erich will finally strip for Playboy, but will she be a TNA Knockout when she does?
* Maria will not win The Celebrity Apprentice.
* Trish Stratus will return at some point and do a full blown storyline this time.
* A heel turn for Tara at some point in the year and a babyface turn for Michelle McCool.
* A ‘Beautiful’ breakup. My guess is TBP will be no more by year’s end.
* At least one more shocking departure. [Gail Kim? ODB?]

My Predictions For 2010:
- Another awful divas match at Wrestlemania
- Kong will wrestle more men then knockouts
- RAW will continue to have 2 minute diva segments booo
- Savannah will be re-introduced as a relative of Gail Kim
- Natalya / Hart Dynasty face turn

I am hoping this year for either Michelle Vs Trish and Michelle Vs Alundra Blayze, since WWE has contacted Madusa earlier this year and she said she couldnt do anything till about feb so time will tell and with Michelle saying she is better than both of them in the wwe.com article.
Also i am going to take a long jump and say a TNA Knockout Awesome Kong will join TNA ( i know its a long shot) and i think WWE diva will go to TNA

Woo I agree with all the wishes except for the Daffney/Alicia/Eve thing.. I dislike all 3 of them.
And I don’t want TBP to break up 
I want Lacey and Madison to gtfo and Angelina to get back in. (That’s my biggest 2010 wish)
Oh and Lacey already did a Playboy shoot supposedly just hasn’t come out yet. Hope she gets one of them Playboy pushes.

i think in 2010,the whole landscape of the WWE divas will change,i think we will have some departures like mickie james,Maria,and katie lea and some newcomers like Mia mancini and AJ lee
i agreed with everything on your list melanie so i’m going to say somethings that aren’t listed
wishes:
-Raw getting better and having some longer matches
-Madison rayne coming out of her shell and show everyone she’s a star in the making
-sarita winning the knockouts title
-Jillian getting traded to smackdown and starts winning more matches
predictions:

-angelina hogging the spotlight again
-Mia mancini debuting and like WWE champion sheamus,will win a title immediatly

My only wish is that someone on SD finally starts to give a damn about the Divas and get Michelle OFF of TV. Pro wrestling is about putting asses in the seats. Michelle has proven she cannot do that. Give someone else a chance!
My predictions is that the Raw Divas will continue to be underrated/misunderstood while any potential the SD Divas might have will continue to get screwed over by Michelle’s presence.

my wishes mainly go to raw
1. GET A GM ASAP ( and if you do keep on with the special guest thing get ppl that we actually know).
2. Try to give the divas more screen time so we can get to know them.
3. When you give divas a fued make it last mare more than 3 weeks ( melina & alicia)
4. And please stop having the good job PLEASE.
and that will solve half of our poblems.

Wishes:
(As much as I love and respect Michelle McCool, unfortunately 2010 won’t be her year – nor for Melina as she will most likely be out with an injury)
1) Both Maria and Kelly Kelly get released as soon as the new year begins
Wrestlemania 26 matchup #1: Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James for the Womens title, where Beth eventually gets her revenge and wins the championship belt
2) Gail doing a few more promos for the next couple of Raw’s (slowly building her character for a future feud with Maryse)
3) Maryse placed into a title matchup against Melina (Maryse works on Melina’s leg throughout the entire match to make it seem as if she put Melina out with a leg injury); wins the title
4) Work on the Maryse/Gail feud begins
5) Eve inserted into more Divas Championship matches… and losing all of them (just to kind of prep her for the real thing – come the beginning of 2011)
6) A Beth Phoenix face turn, joins Mickie in fending off both Michelle and Layla
7) Mickie James somehow stabbing Beth in the back and managing to capture the Womens title yet again + a heel turn (reverting back to the ’05 psycho persona)
9) Wrestlemania 26 matchup #2: Maryse vs Gail Kim for the Divas title; Divas title belt around Gail’s waist after defeating Maryse
10) Alicia feuding with Gail, leading to a PPV match where she finally captures the title
11) A Natalya face turn + occasionally teaming up with Beth during tag matches
12) Jillian eventually capturing the Divas title for a second time (possibly sometime during the second half of 2010)
13) (This is for 2011, but I’ll be adding this anyway since it’ll only be 3 months off) Wrestlemania 27: Alicia Fox vs Eve Torres for the Divas title, where Eve wins her first championship and has a decent run with the title
Predictions:
1) Kelly Kelly will continue to be used in matches (very unfortunate)
2) Gail will most likely have 0 title reigns and feuds under her belt by the end of 2010
3) Same applies for Jillian
4) 2 minute divas matches
5) No decent storylines or feuds
6) A shitty Divas matchup at Wrestlemania 26 (yet a-fucking-gain)

- WWE doesn’t insult and humiliate the Divas with stupid matches at WrestleMania, like they do every year.
- TNA Knockouts get their own show.
- Michelle McCool gets injured and they don’t do a “Trish” where she holds the title in limbo for all the time she’s hurt. Yes, wishing an injury is wrong, but it looks to be the only way the WWE will get her to drop the title.
- WWE gives Natayla, Katie Lea and Gail Kim a push and not be wasted as eye candy.
- Chyna, Lita and Molly Holly come out of retirement to wrestle for TNA.
- TNA hires Daizee Haze, MsChif and Candice Michelle.
- A quick recovery for Roxxi and Melina.
- Dixie changes her mind about picking “beauty over talent”. Stop making TNA WWE-lite!!!
- Gail Kim finally comes to the realization “that money isn’t everything” and returns to TNA.
- Undertaker retires after HBK ends his win streak at WM26 and Michelle leaves with him.
- TNA has the first Ultimate X Knockout match between; Tara, Alissa, Hamada, Roxxi and Daffney. I know, its crazy!
Predict:
- WWE once again insults and humiliates Divas at WrestleMania.
- Roxxi, Alissa and Daffney become Knockout Champions.
- WWE hires more models, etc., instead of real wrestlers.
- McCool will hold Women’s Title longer than The Fabulous Moolah. That’s 28 years, kids!

No major injuries to any divas/knockouts
Maryse wins the Divas title and runs with the deranged egomaniacal bitch gimmick
Michelle McCool takes a break as most pushed diva for at least a couple months of the year
Gail Kim & Natalya win the Divas/Womens titles respectively
The TNA knockouts division gets back to the status it held in 07/08
My predictions for 2010:
Trish will make another appearance the next time they’re in Canada and have a match/segment with either Maryse or Natalya
Mickie James will be gone from WWE by the end of the year
Angelina Love will return and kick Lacey Von Erich out of the Beautiful People
Michelle McCool will not get her come-uppance in the “Piggie James” storyline, she’ll beat Mickie again then move on to her next challenger.
Katie Lea will be in TNA by the end of the year

Wishes:
- A title for Gail Kim in WWE, and Alissa Flash in TNA, thats all i ask for. It doesn’t really have to be a title, as long as they are in the title picture.
WWE Predictions:
- Matches will remain at 2-3 minutes
- Gail Kim, Natalya, Jillian, Katie Lea will all continue to job. Although Gail Kim might be lucky and become top face if Melina’s injury is keeping her out.
- HUGE changes coming some as the ratings of ECW/SD continue to fall. Some divas will get the shaft eventually. 2010 might become the last year for Mickie James, Jillian, Rosa Mendes, Gail Kim and Katie Lea. Not all of them, but i expect at least 2 of those to leave.
- Serena Deeb will make it to the main roster and shows us some quality matches, but due to the wwe-crowd “not caring”, she will eventually turn into a jobber.
- Storylines in Smackdown will improve, but on RAW they will continue to suck.
- Gold for Beth Phoenix on Smackdown, and Maryse on RAW.
TNA predictions:
- Matches will remain at 3-4 minutes (1 minute longer than WWE), but the matches will continue to be ruined by commercials in the middle of matches.
- Alissa Flash, Daffney and Madison Rayne will all continue to job.
- Angelina Love will return, Lacey von Erich will recieve a none-wrestling role for a short period, but will be released eventually. With Angelina’s return i also predict Madison Rayne leaving again.
- Storylines will continue to suck, and we will get to see more random tagteam matchups.
- We will see lots of new knockouts in 2010 arriving, most will be models, but 1 or 2 will be in the Hamada/Sarita categorie.
- Knockouts to disappear in 2010? I think Madison Rayne and Roxxi (again) will be released eventually.
Shimmer Predictions:
- Some of SHIMMER’s main eventers will finally get their chance at either TNA or WWE. Likely candidates are Sara del Ray (TNA), Canadian Ninjas (either WWE or TNA), Jessie McKay (WWE), Jennifer Blake (WWE or TNA).
