With two matches announced for tonight’s live three-hour episode of Impact, the Diva Dirt team have chimed in with their predictions for tonight’s show:

Knockouts Championship: ODB vs Tara

Erin: Unless TNA feel like repeating the mistake they made last time in yanking the Knockouts Title away from Tara waaayy too soon, Tara’s walking out as champ. She deserves a nice, long run and her losing would make absolutely no sense. Still, I guess they could swerve us, but it wouldn’t be of much use–TNA demonstrated that they didn’t have much confidence in ODB as an engaging champ as they stuck her in the middle of other feuds (Tara/Kong, Saritaylor/TBP) instead of giving her have actual feuds over the title. With all that in mind, I’m going with Tara to retain.

Melanie: Very predictable. Tara will retain, far too soon to drop the title now. I feel as though this will be the blow-off to this feud with Angelina Love coming out and attacking Tara after the match, leading to a revival of that feud. The Ang involvement is all I’m excited about to be honest.

Steven: It looks like Tara is propped and ready to take on TNA’s top babyface role now that she has the gold. I expect Tara to come out on top tonight. With the rumored return of Angelina Love, I expect her to get involved in some way, picking up their feud where they left off.

Tiffany: Tara will win. I really don’t see TNA making the same mistake it made during Tara’s first run. She obviously isn’t ready to lose the title just yet. Not even TNA can screw this up.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship after the cut:

Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Sarita & Taylor Wilde vs Awesome Kong & Hamada

Erin: Hamada and Kong seem like an unstoppable team, but Saritaylor are pretty much the definition of the term “underdog” so I can see them overcoming their formidable opponents. Plus, with Kong and Hamada being the much less established team, it’s tough to think of them winning the Knockouts Tag Titles so quickly. I’ve been surprised before, and this could end up like the Jericho/Big Show team with them growing into a team after winning the titles, but I’m hesitant to go there just yet. I say TNA goes with the feel good win for their big live broadcast and allows Saritaylor to retain the titles.

Melanie: First of all, this should be freakin’ amazing match. Anything short of amazing and I’ll be super pissed! The danger here is that the match will be rushed to make way for Hogan and his merry band of geriatrics. Given time, I can see all four of these Knockouts blowing the roof off the Impact Zone. This really could go either way, if you ask me. I do think Hamada & Kong will be the next champions but will they win it here or in a rematch at the January pay per view? I hope it’s here. I’m going to go with Hamada & Kong picking up the victory.

Steven: I’m sure I’m not alone when I say this is a match made in heaven. Considering that Hamada has a pinfall victory over both of the Tag champs, I see with Hamada & Kong pulling out the win. Even though she an awesome competitor, Hamada has had trouble connecting with the fans. I think a partnership with Kong could be just the thing to put her over with the audience.

Tiffany: I honestly think Hamada & Kong have a chance at picking up the win here. Sarita and Taylor have been incredible champions thus far, but there really is time for a change of pace. I’d like to see a couple new faces in the title picture, and I think Hamada and Kong may be that team. Not to mention, Hamada has been super-pushed lately. That’s got to count for something.

  1. I reckon Tara will come out on top here and finally hit a Widow’s Peak on ODB for the win.

Hope Sarita and Taylor win here JUST SO they develop a feud with Kong and Hamada. This has potential to be an awesome match. I like what all 4 can bring. Sarita and Taylor are great together, Hamada has been impressive from the very start and Kong works very well with high flyers especially. I’m just glad the champs have better competition than Velvet and Madison who basically dragged down their matches with the champs.

  2. tottally agree with what you guys are saying:), i think id prefer them to win in a rematch at genesis but since tonight is such a big night for TNA i would love to see them win tonight. but either way this will be an INCREDIBLE match:D! im so glad the beautiful people are out of the title picture now!

  3. I want the champions to retain tonight

I feel like saritaylor still have a lot to prove as champions,I still feel like they havn’t even touched the roof of what they could do as a tag team. Making them lose to a randomly paired team like Hamada and kong will make saritaylor look like fools IMO

Hamada has been pushed hard lately but she should stick with her singles route because she doesn’t need a partner

I predict saritaylor to win and then after, kong attacks Hamada setting up a fued between them

  4. first of all i wish all the knockouts all the best and cant wait for such great matches long live TNA

  5. tara will retain
im 50/50 about the tag team match dont know who wins

  6. I would love to see Sarita & Taylor drop their titles tonight but that’s too much of a big deal to show on TV so it prolly won’t happen.

  7. Evan

where else are they gona show it:s?! it has to be shown on TV nmw:L:S?

  8. Steven what are you talking about?. The fans love Hamada. In every match they scream Hamada Hamada Hamada. or they scream This is awesome, this is awesome.

  9. I think Tara will retain and so will the tag champs, although I predict this match being a set-up for a Hamada/Kong vs Taylor/Sarita feud.

  10. i think tara is a definite retain.

the tag titles.. i don’t want them to change hands yet. i’d rather see “kamada” together a couple more times, solidified as a team, rather than swooping in and winning it after only a couple matches together. but considering it’s LIVE, they’ll probably go for some surprises, and a title change for the knockouts could be it. saritaylor would make much much better chasers. hamada being over.. i think she is, the crowd do seem to love her (but that particular crowd will cheer anything), my only issue with hamada is that she comes across, to me, as a bit.. cold(?) towards the audience.

  11. also, i sort of don’t want angelina to interfere with the ko singles belt.

i’d rather they surprise us with something less predicatble. maybe a mystery beatdown on lacey backstage? or interfering in a completely different match? that;s if she;s back at all ;)

Thats the infamous ‘impact zone’ crowd. A group of fans present at every taping, they scream for everything, often at inappropiate times. Steven probably meant the “casual” fan, who unfortunately haven’t embraced Hamada yet due to her not having any English promos or any storylines that stick.

I actually like the Hamada-Kong teamup, they have faced eachother many times in the past, so they should be able to click perfectly as a tagteam. And i hope they take the titles, that gives Saritaylor a purpose to chase the titles.

  13. Tara better win and I’m hoping we see new champs in Hamada and Kong. I wonder if Angelina returns whether it will be to interfere in a match or just a promo with the Beautiful People.

  14. I wonder whose gonna be the next challenger for Tara, after she wipes ODB clean off her boot. Angelina Love? That would be cool, but recycled and bland. I’m not sure how Love would be as a face, since her heel persona was so cool, but it would be interesting to see her feud with the New Beautiful People.

  15. Mikas, you hit the nail right on the head. The Impact Zone cheers for anything, much like that FCW chick that screams at every tapings. Aside from Knockout/Diva fans I haven’t heard many fans rave over Hamada like they do for Kong and Gail when she was there.
