Looks as though WWE aren’t taking TNA’s ‘Monday Night War’ revival very seriously. According to the Wrestling Observer website, WWE officials are amused that the only matches announced for tomorrow’s live episode of Impact are Knockouts matches.
The website writes: “There were jokes told in the last few days of putting Maryse out every time the women are on the show just to prove one Diva could beat all of their women combined.”
In all seriousness though, I’d be super pissed if the Divas and Knockouts were positioned against each other, I want to be able to skip between them both and catch everything. *Fingers crossed*

I do hope they pit divas vs knockouts. imagine the amount of people tuning in to raw with a gail kim vs Naty neidhart match, and then going over to spike tv for hamada vs “Insert knockout here” it would be completely awesome. thats just my opinion. but before vince makes jokes he should honestly take the lesson schiavone skipped and thats just keep it to yourself. Just saying…

I’ll give you one guess which show I’ll be watching tomorrow night. Here’s a hint: it’s the show that doesn’t have DX and Hornswoggle getting more screen time than the entire roster on it.

Last night I decided to watch TNA, mostly because I think WWE does need some competition. And then I found out about Angelina coming back, and that solidified my choice. A-Love v. Maryse, bring it on!

i stream tna due to being in the uk, i’ll likely have both playing in separate windows, though. except wwe will mostly be on mute. but only because the diva segments are limited to five minutes. on impact, you never know when so and so kos may be backstage being interviewed.
Given some net media sources proclivity for questionable sourcing,I’m thinking this might be one of those times. I’m not sure it’s very likely that some anonymous source actually sat in and heard something from several someones of relevance.
If it is true,screw ‘em. It would just demonstrate WWE creative’s continued ignorance in terms of handling the legacy Trish,Lita,Molly,Victoria,etc.handed them. Yeah,let’s parade a marginally talented person out there to do whateva. As opposed to having someone like Katie Lea cut a strong promo and then wrestle Beth Phoenix or such in a quality match. Such would fit with their mindset of having telecasted diva contests with various activities which have next to nothing to do with wrestling activities. And seeking to hire models with little to no ability in the biz while passing by attractive,talented women with actual experience. It’s like having a relevant resume beforehand is a negative to them.

They might not be taking it seriously now but i bet in 3 months they will be very competitive
I am taping both TNA and WWE and will decide later who had the better show. As I know the WWE Divas are used as pee breaks for their fans while the TNA Knockouts get something done week after week. If I want to spend time on my toilet I will watch Raw … if I want to see action I will watch Impact.
I have always loved the WWE Divas and Maryse is my favourite but I am getting really sick and tired of their lackluster matches each and every week. Each week I feel like I’m watching the same match as last week. Thank god for the Knockouts. I’ve recently decided to switch to TNA and I will now be backing them 100% … I’ll save RAW for Youtube.
Uh, I would rather watch a Knockouts match than Maryse any day! Maryse acting or wrestling badly to me is not more entertaining than watching two women actually wrestle worth something, sorry. :)
I agree with you somewhat, Bee_Miller and I agree with Sapphire Eyes; even though I’ve been a WWE (and former WCW) fan since I was a kid, I’m at the “enough is enough” stage with RAW and it’s turned me to TNA more. I’m at the point where often I only tune in for my favorites now, anyway (I mostly watch it now to see what’ll happen with Sheamus). And I agree that as far as action goes, I can be better accommodated with TNA right now, cause overall I’m simply a fan of good wrestling.
To me it doesn’t matter if it’s a rumor or not because I feel that it reflects the feelings of some WWE employees and fans anyway and that IS truth. For goodness sake, I hope they don’t end up having another Battle Royale or Lumberjill match, which I could see them doing for a chance at the Diva title or something. Yeesh!

They are going to air 3 PPV-type matches on RAW, so they are taking TNA -very- serious. Vince doesn’t want a new monday night war, so he will try to keep TNA’s ratings as low as possible, in the hope SpikeTV decides to move TNA back to thursday.
Most likely those comments from came from ‘low ranked’ WWE officials, and not the ones that actually matter.
I myself will start watching with TNA (the first hour), hoping they will announce what matches we can expect later that night, and then switch back and forth between channels. I want to see Jerishow/Sheamus/Kofi/Hart Dynasty/Bret on RAW, and Hamada/Kong/AJ/Desmond/Kurt on TNA.
Knockouts > Divas
I just about had it with RAW, they give us a female crapfest each week and expect us to buy it. I watch female wrestling because of the action – so I guess it’s pretty obvious which show I’m going to watch.
At the end of the day the knockouts are better than Raws divas so im gonna watch TNA
at the end of the day you get a good raw divas match about twice a year whereas impact most weeks you get a decent enough one.
and btw just for the WWE officials that were laughing about TNA only having two TNA matches. WRONG! there is a steel asylumn match for the X division title. So screw you;), and maryse:L, i seriously hope that they put the knockouts up against divas and even if TNA does not beat WWE ratings wise throughout the show, hopefully through the knockouts vs divas time slot. they would be great haha. But its not really about ratings to me anyway, its about who puts on the better show!

In my opinion, this is a good chance for fans to show what they really want, hard-working knockouts with mostly exceptional matches or… well… Maryse. But then again, the WWE might conveniently take other things into consideration. Truth be told, I really don’t care whether or not it’s TNA or the WWE. The only thing that bugs me is that there are girls who have incredible talent but I don’t get to see them because of the Stepford Divas.
I have always been a fan of WWE., but since watching TNA I think their Divas are more athletic and are allowed to wrestle without a time line. New years Eve was great.
im totaly against the way wwe use the divas but im with the divas themselves…i mean the konckouts r given much more space to show wht they got than the divas thts why KOs look better
