The Knockouts Championship shockingly changed hands just moments ago on the three hour live episode of TNA Impact. ODB regained the title after rolling up Tara with a handful of tights.

The switch means that Tara’s second title run logs in at just 15 days, up five days from her initial 10-day run with the belt back in July. Needless to say, as someone who wished that Tara would get a lengthy run as champion, I am super pissed. It seems Tara cannot get a break with this damned title.

  1. odb has technically 3 reigns now and that is, to be honest, pretty disturbing.

with it being a 3hour show, i’m hoping for some sort of rematch, perhaps. but i won’t hold my breath – i’m not keen on self sacrifice.

  2. I’m with you Melanie, that match was pure bullshit, i’m so heated right now, not a good start in 2010 TNA, so far this experiment has been a bust

  3. i am irate i am furious and i think so was lisa did u see her face when she came out i dont believe that was bout odb i think this new era will be against what the knockouts claim to be against even odb came out looking like a thicker memeber of the beautiful ppl wtf i am furious

  4. This is not only bad for Tara’s credibility. It is also bad for the KO title. The KO title loses its prestige every time someone easily captures it. I feel bad for Tara. I do. I know TNA is pushing her as the top face but these 10-15 day title reigns are insulting/shameful!!!

  5. LMAO! I FEEL BAD FOR TARA AT LEAST WWE GAVE HER 100+ DAY TITLE REIGNS TNA JUST MADE HER A TOTAL PAPER CHAMPION SHE DESERVES MORE!

  6. Melanie u werent the only one that was pissed when the 3 count hit. I just was like wtf , what r they trying to do here…is there a point to all this did Tara do something wrong…? I mean last time i checked TNA was intrested in Tara not the other way around. Tara could have retained the title and fueded with KONG or angelina if she returned 2nite.

TNA is going hay wire with their knockouts ….Its just seems like the only place we see good matches and heat and fueds is Smackdown…thats the only thing keeping me excited…

  7. Tara obviously isn’t down with ODB, which was shown after the match. People should wait until the night is over.

    TNA > WWE.

  8. OMG i am so pissed.

  9. I’ve lost almost all respect for TNA

  10. NO WAYYY! This is absolutly appauling!
I think, tbf, that TNA is messing with Tara – this is bordering on abuse. :L

  11. I’m not even pissed,I’m just in awe of how pathetic TNA is.

    I still <3 Lisa.

  12. I was actually shocked that they took the title off of her that quickly again. Tna was really disappointing the first hour. Soon as 9 came around I turned right to Raw.

  13. I was pissed, too. Tara works her butt off and she still gets these short title reigns. Did you hear that Sarita and Taylor lost to Hamada and Kong? What are Hamada and Kong, anyway? Face or heel???

  14. It’s a shame that Tara’s second reign was so short. I was hoping she would get a longer one. Oh well, that’s TNA for ya.

  15. It’s so frustrating, I mean what was the point of giving it to Tara? Hopefully TNA will do something with ODB title-run this time around because the last was incredibly dull.

  16. Hahaha you guys are getting way to worked up.

I love that all 3 diva dirt predictions were so confident & dead wrong!! I dont even like ODB but whats wrong or new with surprises in wrestling??

  17. I agree with SoRandy4Rosa. I understand why people are mad (they don’t like ODB for various reasons) but I think it more worthy of a complaint if there were only 3 minute botchfest matches on TNA and only ONE of them at that, which is the constant complaint with RAW. Being scripted with someone saying “you’re going to win”, does any wrestling title really have any real prestige anyway…? Only in our disbelief-suspending imaginations. My opinion.

  18. Whys everyone saying that Lisa was shocked about it? It wasn’t a legit match, it was the same as every other one. I just get the idea TNA want to do something with ODB but there’s the constant problem of Tara being a big fish in a small pond and having to please the crowd, to be honest I’m just glad that TNA aren’t buttering Tara’s bread for her all the time and are just letting her get on with things like every other Knockout. To be honest at the end of the day people remember she’s a 2x Womens Champion, no one remembers off by hear how long each reign was, same for this one. Plus at least it causes a bit of drama and it makes that tournament worth while rather than some overhyped gimmick show that would just be pointless for ODB to work her way up and lose. I don’t know but I prefer it that TNA for once is focusing on homegrown talent rather than noted WWE cast offs, which is essentially what the whole of last night was about.

  19. I was thinking that this is TNA’s one way of sending a message to WWE and how much they hate wwe. Since VIctoria is originally a diva, they are kinda screwing her up. Just my opinion tho.

  20. ahlanthony: That doesnt make sense, 70% of TNA is ex-WWE, and the other 30% is ex-ROH. If they are punishing Tara because she used to be a diva, then they would also punish those other wrestlers.

  21. To be honest if TNA were punishing the ex WWE talent then they’d have very little people to reward. ODB’s ranting at Tara is TNA’s way of trying to namecall and score points against the WWE, because they need to climb the chain, hence why WWE doesn’t retalliates.

  22. i have a feeling they took the title of tara because they are going to brin angelina love in as a face to take the title of a heel ODB

  23. WWE still has the title switch beat time beat with Jillian and Melina, so…

I honestly don’t feel “prestige” for a belt when writers and company officials are the ones selecting who gets them. Not to mention ODB and Tara are two of TNA’s top women. Fans often complain that wrestling is too predictable, but no one saw this coming. If wrestling weren’t staged this could easily happen in real life, so I feel that the major complaint among fans here is that TNA is attempting a formula people aren’t familiar nor comfortable with.

It may not be the best route in my opinion, but if they keep delivering credible Knockout matches I could care less for WWE unless it’s Mickie, Melina, Natalya, Katie, or Beth.

  24. Oh yeah — and Gail! I forget she’s even in WWE.

  25. @Garouix – Great point. It’s like I said before. People complain about predictability but at the same time they want it; or rather, everything’s cool if the people who they want to win, win. All I care about is a good match! :) I’d be more irritated if a wrestler I liked got squashed miserably or made to look weak, talentless, etc. than if they put on a good show and simply lost, even if they lost by some kind of heel tactic. If TNA was punishing Tara for having been a Diva (which is ridiculous) then they would have had her as a jobber or a joke. I feel they’ve rewarded her for her past status more than anything else, despite how short the runs are.
