WWE Offers Stacy Keibler Guest Host Gig

Remember that story last year about WWE shutting down Stacy Keibler when she offered her services to be a guest host on Raw? Looks like the ‘E has changed their tune. According to Keibler, WWE offered her the gig after her agent went back to them but a date couldn’t be hashed out. In an interview with SI.com, she reveals:

It’s funny because I actually went to them when they were in my hometown of Baltimore a little while ago and they completely ignored me. Then, probably a month later, my publicist called them again and they said “Oh, we would love to have her” and they gave us some dates, but it didn’t’ work around my schedule. So maybe in the future if the timing is right, but right now there no plans to do it. But it would be so much fun to walk out and feel that energy again and be around my fans. I would absolutely love to do it.

It’d be pretty cool for another ex-Diva to return to host Raw and Stacy would be perfect. Arguably, she’s the only other former Diva that could bring some buzz to the role as she’s been a Hollywood mainstay for the past four years while Trish’s spot was based more on her WWE popularity.

The inner Torrie fan in me would love to see Stacy and Torrie reunite one last time to co-host the show. A girl can dream, right?

Meanwhile, Stacy’s biggest acting break — a spot on the 100th episode of How I Met Your Mother — airs this coming Monday at 8pm on CBS.

I think it’d be nice to see another Diva do it after seeing Trish do well with it, and I think Stacy’s definitely charismatic enough to pull it off.

stacy wouldn’t be my first pick, but it would be great to have another ex diva return to host. if anything, it’ll force creative to do something different with the bellas lol.

love the idea of a torrie/stacy reunion even better, brings back the wcw invasion memories.

I hate the guest host thing, but I’d love to see a diva do it. Maybe she’d even get back in the ring? I’d love to see a one night storyline (like Trish and Beth), and have Maryse talk about how Stacy used to be sexy, but now she is, yadda yadda insert match. Just an idea ;)

Anyway… DO IT STACY! DO IT!

Stacy Keibler is VERY close friends with Gail Kim.
So I assume she may pull some strings in her corner if she does get the deal.

I think it would great.. But also bad. Every diva except for Maryse and Katie hit a dropkick or body slam in their matches. Yet how many Divas actually have personality and can talk on the mic? Layla, Maryse, Jillian.. Am I missing someone?

But if the WWE cared about hiding the most of the Divas lack of anything outside of “hit move 1 – 5, pin.” Michelle wouldn’t been talking or acting every week.

Thats right girl, its up to you not them. Stacy says it was scheduling conflict which in translation means..

“clearly you hoes had your chance..oh whats that your looking for me now? well maybe when i have time after staring on show that’s actually good.”

Lol Good for Stacy though, we all know WWE wanted her all along. Hell look at half the people who have hosted, shit if i wanted to be GM they’d let me host judging from their past Z-list offerings.

Sometimes the WWE’s business decisions make me scratch my head. I figured it would be a no-brainer to have Stacy guest host here in Bmore. The fact that they didn’t puzzles me. Anyway, I agree that it would be nice to see her again. As stated, she’s one of the few personalities to make good after wrestling.

The Guests Hosts have no influence on the storylines, they are only working the script. Naturally people like Bert Hart, Mike Tyson etc are in a position to have influence (if they want to), but i dont think Stacy is. If she starts demanding all sort of things, they will just pick a different guest host.

It’ll be fun to see Stacy again. I didn’t like how she left, felt like she abandoned us, no one knew that her last match (I believe against Jillian if my memory’s right) was actually her last match. I’m kind of surprised that she is interested in doing it because she’s so into the Hollywood thing that I thought she might of left her pro-wrestling past behind her (aside from the divas she’s still friends with of course). Anyways, in closing, yay legs!

What I wanna know is why haven’t they had more guest hosts from the current roster? The first host was Batista, admittedly he had a storyline going but what if they bought in Melina to host while she’s out due to injury?

If the guest hosts had been former wrestlers the whole time (my favorite was with Trish) then I wouldn’t feel the same as I do now. At least Stacy wasn’t sour about WWE not picking up on her the first time enough to where she considered their offer and wasn’t like “eff you!” I’d love to see the crowd give a reaction to a Diva like the old days. But I’m starting to think it’s just the crowds these days. TNA audience (no matter the size)>>>>WWE audience. :)

@GK1 – I don’t mean this in a sarcastic way, but if Gail Kim (who I love) had any strings to pull to start with I think her situation would be quite different.

I think she’d be a good guest host for the night. Not looking forward to the inevitable “DX admonishing Hornswoggle for looking up her skirt” skit though.

No offense to anybody, but isn’t it obvious she is lying?

A “Hollywood Mainstay”? More like “Hollywood Joke”. Stacy gets a cameo on a sitcom once or twice per year, and that’s considered a career. Lol. She acts like she has Dwayne Johnson’s schedule or something. This girl is kind of pathetic actually. She has looked down on wrestling in the past, her acting career is a dead, and yet some of the fans still act like she would be some big star coming in. The only reason she wants to host Raw is because her career is on it’s last legs, and she’s looking for any sort of boost. WWE told her “we would rather have Mini Me host than you, because he’s more well known.” What does that tell you about her “fame?”

They might prefer Trish Stratus, but she’s also a much better success story. She became arguably the biggest woman star ever in wrestling, retired gracefully and with class, and has succesfully transitioned into a new career in fitness and television. Travel show, yoga studio, video game, etc. The fitness industry, if you market yourself well enough, can lead to alot of things. Trish might very well be the next Jillian Michaels, or something along those lines.

I’m just saying that acting like Trish’s WWE fame is the only reason they would want her, and then to pretend Stacy is some sort of Hollywood star that they should jump all over, is wrong on so many levels. The younger fans won’t even know who she is, and many of the divas are more attractive than Stacy at this point(she hasn’t aged well at all). Stacy burned her bridge with WWE when she threw them under the bus as soon as she could leave. They have every right to ignore this wannabe starlet. When you see interviews like this, sometimes you have to read between the lines.
