Welcome to tonight’s edition of the Post-Raw Show! Tiffany couldn’t be with us tonight, but Erin filled in to put in her two cents on tonight’s Divas’ action. Tonight WWE gave us not one but TWO Divas matches! Shocking, I know. Alicia Fox defeated Kelly Kelly to move into the second round of the Divas’ Championship Tournament and Eve Torres took her spot in the semi-finals knocking Katie Lea out of the tournament. We also discuss the second round matches and Kelly’s bizarre choice of footwear. Listen below and leave your thoughts in the comments!

eve and maryse have faced off before. it was around the time eve just got started. it was slow but i think they will be better now. i think both matches will be good.
I agree that Alicia is a better face than she is a heel. But WWE always give the heel divas the same type of attitude the same way they give the faces the same attitude.
But I think both matches wasn’t that great, but Kelly vs. Alicia was better becuase I remember two moves from that match and none from the Katie vs. Eve match. I think that powerbomed Alicia did was pretty great.
I can’t wait for next week I really think that Alicia vs. Gail Kim would be pretty great.
that powerbomb was pretty! alicias like michelle, skinny but strong! i think alicias moveset would be better as a face. i know she has speed and is flexible. kelly looked hurt after that powerbomb and why do all black divas have to eventually be heel???
I must be an Alicia mark because I think she’s pretty charismatic. I find that she has some untapped potential that she needs help to get across. I know her heel work needs work but I just find her to be more of the interesting model-turned-wrestlers in this current crop of girls.
Kelly wasn’t offensive. I’m also turning into a small Kelly fan. I knew she wasn’t going to win. When it comes to the wrestling aspect, if you’re going to hook Alicia and Kelly together, Alicia will win. As she’s done for their third match. But I was surprised it was a Kelly/Alicia match up, as I expected Kelly to atleast move on to face someone before she lost.
If they are going to bring Katie Lea back, can they atleast let her win? I would’ve rather wanted Katie to move on then Eve.
On the opposing spectrum, I find Eve totally bland and I’m sure they are about to push her in some capacity that doesn’t excite me. Even if she doesn’t win against Maryse, I’m betting she’ll be on TV in some way, form or fashion. I just feel she needs some type of overhaul. She has the size and athleticism and she should do less of the acrobatic thing (since most girls are smaller than her and probably can’t mesh well with carrying her/getting landed on) and some more raw power stuff.

Totally agree with MarBu13. Good assessment! I wish she had a better ring outfit too…there is some work needed with her but she has potential.

i liked Alicia vs Kelly the most, the ending was good
I agree about Alicia, to me she comes across as a low rent hybrid of Maryse & Layla’s characters from the way she walks to the ring to her in-ring mannerisms, and she doesn’t pull it off anywhere near as well as they do IMO, I liked her better as the dancing babyface on ECW.
I just saw Alicia v Kelly on youtube, it was pretty good I thought, although it followed the Raw formula of the babyface dominating the whole match and the heel winning after hitting one move.
Eve v Katie Lea was just boring and should have been on Superstars instead of Raw. Maryse’s commentary ripping on Michael Cole and how boring the match was was the best thing about that. She should have stayed on commentary for the whole night lol, I would have killed to hear her comments on the Hornswoggle-Tyson confrontation at the end!
I love Katie Lea but ugh what a pittiful debut. Maryse needs to gtfo off my screen because I’m tired of her getting mic time when I can hardly understand her other than im sexy be sexy the worlds not as sexy as me look at how sexy I am. Really liked Kelly/Fox and the right woman won, and I LOVED Katie’s sick backbreaker.
Is it wrong that I actually liked K2′s footwear? As for Alicia I don’t think she’s a typical heel anymore. I like to think of her as more of a bubbly heel. She walks to the ring like only she can. She takes care of business and leaves. She’s kind of finding a character even though she isn’t totally there yet. I think now all the heel divas have a set character. Maryse is the sexy one. Alicia is the bubbly one. Jillian the singing one. Now Katie is the goth(I think) one. I just wish they turn Nikki heel too. I think the faces are the ones that need a more defined character.

She was cool in the early part of last year when she was on Smackdown, but now she’s just annoying. Even those “get out of my face, you’re not worth it”, hand gestures which gave her character are starting to bug me.

With other words, she is a GREAT heel. Heels arent supposed to be cool.
Oh I never said she wasn’t a great heel. I just suddenly got tired of her shtick. And there is such a thing as a cool heel. WWE’s done it many times. I know I was cheering for Austin when he had his feud against Bret.
I personally don’t think Maryse is a great heel. Great heels get jeered. She gets catcalls. LOL! The woman is a cartoon character, like a herky jerky Jessica Rabbit.
I was excited, when I heard there would be two matches until I realized one would be another two minute fiasco. Sigh. Katie Lea deserves better than this. I did like Alicia though and think that she continues to show promise. I’m hoping that the WWE will surprise us with a Gail win (Hell, I could even live with an Alicia win) but I have a feeling they’re going to go the predictable route. After all, this tournament has yet to surprise us.
And people wonder why the Knockouts get so much more respect.

I think Maryse is not that great of a heel. Not because she doesn’t have mic skills (she has it a lot), but because the character they gave her is rather ordinary…I mean, tons of girls have done it before. Best example: Melina’s time in MNM. She was always: “I’m the most dominant diva…I’m so much better looking…etc”.
However, Melina, while having a similar character was one of the best heels in the past years. She was actually quite annoying and bitchy. I mean…she would not only talk about how great she is, but she would also hit you with a boot in the head and gave a lot of low blows.
That’s whats missing in Maryse. They don’t work to much on her character besides the I’m sexy and better than you.
