TNA Knockout, Awesome Kong has commented on reports that she has given notice to TNA.
In a streaming video from her iPhone to her Twitter account posted several minutes ago, Kong says: “People are sending me messages about my request for my release.”
Kong also comments that she was due to to be part of TNA’s UK tour but is no longer booked for the trip. The tour is due to start this weekend and Kong had been one of the previously announced participants.

January 21st, 2010 – the day TNA destroyed the greatest women’s wrestling division in North America.
Kong vs Beth would be awesome.
This whole day has been sad reading. This plus Alissa Flash gone. WWE need to pick them up. Melissa has worked with them in the past (tryouts and Heat) so she could possibly get in, plus she is quite attractive. They hired Chyna who didn’t have the Diva look and look at what a star she became. Even Beth Phoenix (though I think she’s attractive) too.
You know what? Don’t focus your frustrations on that orange troll has-been Hogan and his loverboy BTLS….you want to know who really let all this BS start? DIXIE CARTER. Just watching her on TV shows what a completely clueless, delusional moron she is. I admire her for supporting the Knockouts division, but she basically handed out golden contracts to Hogan and Eric Bischoff with no conditions attached. She is basically letting her company get taken over. Vince McMahon would never let someone impinge on WWE. It shows us that TNA isn’t quite the viable competition for WWE yet.
I don’t know what this means for the Knockouts remaining. Hopefully the damage won’t be as bad as expected. But Kong….I mean you can’t mention the division without mentioning her! Her epic matches with Gail Kim put them on the map.
If Kong ever were to go to the WWE Kong could be known as the anti-diva or the diva destroyer, yea I like the sound of that, how about some of you guys?

Why should she HAVE to leave? Get rid of that radio show guy who will only destroy the TNA image. BTW, after reading the Impact! spoilers, I thought Hogan learnt from WCW and wasn’t going to politic in TNA (ahem ahem Lacey)?

Losing Kong,after just losing Melissa,would be a terrible and needless blow to take.
I’m really sad. But i hope that if she is released that she and Alissa are hired in WWE. Anyways, if they aren’t, I’m probably watch shimmer more.
whats going to happend to the tag titles does this mean either beautiful people or sarita and taylor tna wont be the same without her….
Probably Hamada will have to find a new partner, and then there will be a tournament, or whatever. Maybe she’ll team up with Angelina.
If Dixie wants to save the tag division,she either better retain Kong or bring in a couple of new people. Wouldn’t hurt for TNA to stop booking Daffney as job material either.
Instability has started to creep in to the Divas with TNA. 2 departures & a 1 minute or less match. Going the way of the WWE. We need a financier to form a DIVA COMPANY. A LOT OF MONEY COULD BE MADE.
