Diva Dirt has just received word that TNA Knockout, Alissa Flash — real name Melissa Anderson — has parted ways with TNA.

Anderson made her debut in January 2008 as Raisha Saeed, manager of Awesome Kong before debuting a second character, ‘The Future Legend’ Alissa Flash in July 2009. Saeed was written out in October last year and Anderson continued to compete as Flash until her departure.

During her time in the company, Alissa has competed in memorable matches with Sarita, Hamada, Awesome Kong and Tara.

  1. Who the hell’s next? Sarita or Taylor? Seriously TNA is messed up, yet maybe this is the best for Melissa. Get yourself to WWE girl or win the Shimmer title. Good luck to her. :D

  2. OMG no!! i cant believe that! im so sad ;( she was one of my fave kos and one of the best women’s wrestlers in the buisness! i hope we see her again sometime! xxxxxxxx

  3. I guess it shows what happens to TALENTED women who don’t get TV time versus less talented that do (Lacey.)

I hope WWE snaps her up ASAP and make her the next star in the Divas division. Maybe put her on the new brand which is replacing ECW and make a new divas division for those who are underutilised!

  4. i dont know why people are saying ‘please vince hire her!!’ you know that even if she did go to wwe they wuld just treat her like a doormat to useless bitches like maria!

  5. gutted but it was getting stupid the way she was(n’t) being used. I’m not loving TNA right now…

  6. I am shocked that Alissa Flash is gone from TNA. She was one of the most talented knockouts there. So let me get this straight. They don’t give air time to someone to Alissa. But they give it to Lacey Von Erich. Makes perfect sense. Because everyone loves to see a untalented knockout compared to someone like Alissa. Good job Tna. I can see the knockout division slowly going downhill.

  7. Totally sad moment. With the lack of booking, she never had a chance. I hope she gets a true chance to show what she can do on a big stage. She merits it.

  8. Alissa is definetly the Victoria of TNA. Totally talented yet booked ridiculously. And well, she was never even taken seriously like Victoria was back in her WWE early years. And just something I saw, her profile has been removed from TNAWrestling.com, yet Kong’s hasn’t. Just thought I’d point that out. I’m guessing that’s only because she makes an appearance next week though.

  9. You know, if you really want to stick it to TNA, stop supporting them and just watch more SHIMMER. More quality matches, the women are the entire focus and you don’t have to wade waist deep through shit to get to the good stuff. And barring injury, you never have to worry about Kong or Melissa being on the show. Just buy more SHIMMER DVDs. Lots and lots of SHIMMER DVDs. That’s what I would do. In fact, I have done that before (2006, when TNA decided to punish Austin Aries and Roderick Strong for the stupidest reason ever, of course substituting ROH for SHIMMER in this case). Trust me, you’ll be a happier wrestling fan in the long run.

  10. oh no does this mean lacey will get a push against tara for her title. alissa is the last heel knockout who had a chance at feuding with tara

  11. I didn’t read all the coments, but I’m really pissed. She was so talented than some of the girls there, but they didn’t knew how to use her.

    Fortunately she’s always on Shimmer.

If WWE was smart, they would hire this girl. They are in need of better performers in ALL of the shows. SD and ECW because they have very few girls and RAW because they need better competitors.

    Wish you luck, Melissa

  12. Alissa Flash in WWE means she can no longer work for SHIMMER, so if she goes to WWE (assuming WWE is interested in her) i do hope she is given some guarentees that they wont turn her into a jobber.

But does she even WANT to go to WWE? Unlike many other female indie wrestlers she is a relatively big name that is wanted by most indy promotions, so she shouldnt have to worry that she cant get any work as a wrestler. And I’m sure Wrestlelicious would be interested in her as well, so who knows where she ends up.

  13. Yeah, I know that, but everybody knows that WWE and TNA are the companies with more international exposure. So its good for their careers.

But, I don’t know. Its possible that she’ll stay on Shimmer, or like you said, Wrestlicious

  14. If she went to WWE they’d treat her like TNA did – WWE never utilizies proper talented female wrestlers, she’d be used to put over rookies like Eve and Maryse – and that is no good. Plus, WWE had a chance years ago to hire her when she had a try-out match against Victoria on Heat.

I totally understand her being unhappy with her role in TNA, she unfortunately got lost in the fray there. When she was Raisha Saeed at least she got more TV time. Put yourself in her position – if you worked for TNA and they had suddenly began bringing in overweight or useless has-beens like Scott Hall, Sean Waltman and Sean Morley, and you had barely been given any air-time for months – you know it’s going to get worse not better when the company is being dominated by the sort of men that ran WCW into the ground. Dixie Carter should read the book The Death of WCW by RD Reynolds and take a hint.

  15. I was really starting to love her too, wow…

  16. ohoh…i dont see Roxxi’s profile on tnawrestling.com

Does anyone know if she had a profile since her return to the roster? Maybe they never bothered to put her profile up.

  17. Mikas: TNA takes a long time to update the roster.

  18. They still have Hamada and Sarita as far as elite workers go.

Thanks a lot Dixie. For someone who’s been claiming to be a big fan and supporter of the TNA Knockouts, she clearly didn’t read the warning signs of bringing in Hogan and Bischoff.

Melissa SOOOO needs to work some ROH matches now. If she wants to work WWE for the money opportunities then so be it. If she debuted on SD (which has been good for women’s stuff this year so far) then she might have a chance.

Suddenly I doubt Gail Kim is missing TNA much, assuming she’s been reading about all this crap/

  19. @Mikas, I’d imagine they will put her profile up when she’s back from injury.

  20. I had a horrible feeling this was going to happen, but I didn’t think so soon.

  21. Kerry246, you said it right there. Nykk, it’s true; if you want to see real quality women’s wrestling then that’s where people need to go. And anyway, Cheerleader Melissa already has international exposure. She trained and wrestled here in Japan, for one. Personally, given the position the Divas are in right now, I really (and I just really don’t anyway) don’t feel that WWE is the end-all-be-all–at least not when it comes to women’s wrestling, no. WWE wants Divas right now, not female wrestlers. SOME (not all) people who always throw WWE’s name up there are the same one’s who don’t bother to check out indy women promotions, so there continues to be this insistence on WWE getting people exposure. The thing is, actually, that indy promotions ALSO give wrestlers international exposure, because I’ve watched many featuring wrestlers from all over the world.

  22. And to finish my thought (sorry), the exposure that Divas get is to a great deal of fans (WWE fans) who couldn’t care less about women’s wrestling and only care about the Divas inasmuch as to see some “hot chicks”. Reading some tasty sexist comments in other forums tells me that that’s where some of their minds are at. WWE’s appealing to them, not us fans of women’s wrestling (too), unfortunately.

  23. Speaking about the TNA stars profile page, anyone else notice that Angelina Love and Ken Anderson aren’t there yet? But Hogan’s buds ala Hall,Waltman, and even the Nasty Boys are?

  24. This is so very sad. Alissa is a great talent and I wish her all the best in her career.
