Raw Diva, Kelly Kelly had some highly positive words for a fellow Diva in an interview with the Daily Star but no, it wasn’t a Mickie or a Melina — it was Katie Lea! Perhaps the fact it was a British tabloid may have helped but nonetheless, she says:
I learned a lot from her – she is an amazing wrestler.
It’s amazing to see Katie praised by a fellow Diva as she is someone that tends to be forgotten because she’s not used as much. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of the amazing wrestler in 2010 but I’m not holding my breath.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kelly talks about the death of ex-boyfriend Andrew ‘Test’ Martin for the first time.

I am SO pleased that one of the younger and more pushed Divas acknowledge the true skill that the other divas have; especially the ones who aren’t pushed as much, IE, Katie Lea, Jillian Hall, Natalya, etc.
I hope to see more of Katie in 2010!
I love Kelly. I know she’s not exactly a Diva Dirt favorite but she broke into this business as green as green can be. She was given no time in development and was thrown on the road at an age where most of us still live with our parents and are in college. She’s come a long way! Kelly may not be the best wrestler on the planet, but I believe she truly loves what she’s doing and she’s in the WWE for the long haul. She’s dealt with a lot in her young life and the fact she can still smile, be friendly, and keep trying despite all the heat she receives is amazing to me.
Well, she’s one of my favorites. And like I said in one topic (even if it was deleted because it was in the wrong section), I hope that the fact of Paul’s release, doesn’t mean she’ll have the same future.
true, it being a british newspaper may have something to do with it, but regardless it is nice to see her get some praise/recognition.
i really hope katie has some sort of push towards the front of the raw heel scene this year. i doubt it, though, as as soon as the annual draft comes around she’ll either be traded or the main focus will go straight on to whichever divas are traded over to raw. i just don’t want another year full of The 4 Ms (mickie, melina, maryse and michelle).
i wouldn’t be too surprised if katie’s released by the end of the year though =/
I have a feeling Katie lea will be released soon, WWE has nothing for her so I wouldn’t be surprised
Not a fan of Kelly but she gets my empathy over Test’s passing.

It’s really great to hear Katie being acknowledged for her superb ring skills – it’s too bad it doesnt happen more often.
Kelly Kelly better learn , I mean Katie Lea one of the best Female Wrestlers in The WWE and The Whole World. A Future Womens Champion.
I honestly hope we get to see more of Katie Lea this year but like Mel said Im not gonna hold my breath either….

It will be nice if they used her on more live shows rather than house shows.
I think it’s good, because there’s few things (maybe nothing) more frustrating for wrestling fans than to see someone with talent not being utilized to their ability or (hardly) at all.
