Welcome to tonight’s edition of the Post-Raw Show! Tonight WWE finally went through with the semi-finals of the Divas’ Championship tournament, pitting Maryse against Eve Torres, as well as Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox for a spot in the finals. They even took Smackdown’s cue and threw in a few promos for once. We also discuss The Bellas vs. Jillian and Katie Lea and our expectations for the Divas’ Championship tournament finals. As always, I’m joined by the rest of the Post-Raw team, Erin and David. Listen below and leave your thoughts in the comments.

With the whole MARYSE doesnt do much thing i think the WWE has her playing that role. i mean if she was in a 6 diva tag could you really see her telling ALICIA or KATIE ok im just gonna relax on the side while you guys do all the work ok?
I noticed how fast alicia got in the ring to lol i was like WTF ? lol
If WWE allows Maryse to do more than taunt and hit her finisher, and if they give the match next week a decent amount of time I believe she and Gail could put on a good show for us. I thought their matches on SmackDown! last year were good anyways.
I think Gail will win, feud with Maryse for a couple months or so and then go on to to feud with Alicia.
I’m a Huge fan of the 2 times(2 times) all american american jack swagger. Love that man he ‘s so great and hot.

The Maryse vs. Eve match was just eww. Eve is totally a spot monkey just like Kelly. But Eve sold that DDT really really good.
The backstage segment with John Cena, Dulé, and Alicia was so Awesome. She came out of NO WHERE I wasn’t thinking she would be there. I think that Cena and Alicia was so cute when Dule said Alicia Fox and Cena said “the” alicia fox I think that was so cute. Also, when Cena told the guy from the phone you should see her now and Alicia said “ohhh stop”. I love the action between Alicia and Dulé, they was pretty awesome together.
The match itself at first I was thinking that Alicia was going to win because of that segment and that Gail got the job entrance, but they bulid up Gail for weeks and I knew Gail was going to win. I think that one botch really mess up the whole match. I think that Alicia was to close to the ropes. But Gail did some nice moves. I think the match was VERY rushed, and that was the mistake. But Dulé was very funny during the match calling alicia baby.
After the match I think that Alicia should have sold the move more but hey just look at Cena. I really think that Alicia really stood out more than Gail. At the end of the match alicia was going crazy and walk where Dule was and slap him really was the best thing of the divas tonight. Than she walk off like she was piss as hell; they can really make this a storyline but its WWE so its not going to happen.
I was thinking that Maryse would be the only diva who got mic time and some attention, but Alicia got a lot of attention as well. I won’t be shock if Alicia and Maryse became like Michelle and Layla.
Maryse vs. Gail would be awful. I hope they would try to build this up like a feud and it might happen. But I don’t know why WWE is so high on Maryse she does 2 moves, and she doesn’t do one of those moves correct.

I must say its said to have Tiffany go but I really enjoy Erin on the Raw Response.
About the matches …. *shakes head in dissapointment*
I keep saying this over and over again, week after week Raw finds away to take an opportunity and CRUSH it!
The girls just don’t look very confident in the ring they all look scared as hell.
I think Eve has abit more substance than Kelly Kelly but she is starting to come across as abit of a spot monkey. And I know everyone loves Alicia but she for me is just all over the place. She flails worse than Maria and is just so awkward and not very stable. I have officially lost all excitment in Raw and ANY kind of interest.
From now on Raw is going to be my side note youtube visit. Smackdown all the way!

Good call on the Honk Tonk Man-Maryse comparison. I’m really annoyed with her nowadays. What was she doing on Smackdown that made her so much bearable?
Haha, yeah, Alicia’s entrance threw me off too. I agree, it started off well and then there was that one awkward spot.

Lady Sheamus, I’d be all for that but I’ve become very cynical about online petitions. Years and years ago I signed one with a bajillion signatures to get Rush in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. Guess what? Rush isn’t in the Hall yet lol. A twitter campaign might be interesting though.
It’d interesting to do year by year (at least the last 3 years because matches are so readily available online now) study of match lengths and somehow throw that in WWE’s face.
Yeah xxchristina some of that you could have saved lol JK! But you wre pretty much on the money, I think they all look uncomfortable and when they throw them out there there it makes the already rushed matches worse. But Eve isn’t necessarily spot-monkeyish (I don’t think none of them are, but they are obviously protecting Maryse to the hilt, (since they know she’s gonna hurt herself just by the drop of a pin). It’s a shame how little they care about these girls, but my question if they’re not ready now, then what are they gonna do for Wrestlemania then, the same thing last year or worse?
I’m not going to get my hopes up, I think we all know maryse will win. I would love for Gail to take that title and give it some presitage but this is WWE and we all know they never push the right people
I think the general idea of the Divas title is that it is more commercial in terms of merchandise but also of its holder, because its newer it can be used for a quick push and make history rather than lose prestiege like the Women’s championship would if say Maria or Kelly were to hold it. It would seem that this is the case, when you consider that the ‘veteran’ Divas are on SmackDown based around the Womens title, whereas the fresher stars are based on Raw with the newer title.
However, that doesn’t mean I don’t want Gail to win it, I just don’t think WWE want to risk giving it to her and raising the prestiege too far up for its roster to challenge for without damaging it.
It is definitely frustrating that they give Miz/MVP a huge amount of time for a promo that we basically heard last week and then have 2 Divas matches pushed through in a matter of minutes. The Maryse – Gail Finals should be given a chance to tell a story and build a good feud for the next few months. Maybe if Randy Orton didn’t take 25 minutes to walk to the ring we’d get more actual time to wrestle.
