TNA is once again slotting a live episode of Impact against Monday Night Raw on March 1st. That night’s Raw will be hosted by Cheech and Chong.

Interestingly, TNA will be going head to head with WWE for the full two hours rather than starting at 8pm which seems more logical. Both shows will begin at 9pm that night.

  1. I really don’t care about this wars…I don’t even consider this a true war, but whatever. I now I might be stupid for not knowing this, but who the hell are Cheech and Chong? xD

They’re not known In my country…i think.

  2. Well i see TNA going downhill if you ask me, i love the knockouts and respect them just not their company and since Hogan/Eric have take over (lets face it Dixie doesnt really run this company anymore) i just see TNA going into the ground, WCW bells ringing anyone? Well lets just hope WWE sign the good TNA knockouts talent if this does happen, which i highly predict…..WWE will remain the number one wrestling company for a VERY long time

    :)

  3. I feel so conflicted and a bit put off with TNA right now because of this Hogan-era ish.

@Ana_Nattie_rules – Cheech and Chong are from a series of stoner movies and standup. I’ve watched them before. And Cheech Marin is also from the series Nash Bridges that ran for 6 seasons. Chong is the father of Rae Dawn Chong, an actress who was somewhat popular in the 80s/early 90s (and co-starred with my man Arnold Schwarzennegger in Commando).

  4. This doesn’t bode well for the Knockouts. ;/

  5. LadySheamus – Ok, thanks for the information. Now I know why I don’t know them at all.

This TNA and WWE thing, is like the Cold War. There’s never going to be a TRUE conflict, only threats of it.

  6. Wow this should be good and when is this whole RAW guest host thing gonna end its kinda gettin a little old.

  7. Um Cheech and Chong on Raw with other rubbish. or much superior impact. I think i’ll watch where the women are treated better thanks. TNA>WWE.

  8. I hope they will stay on monday, but i’m afraid it’s too late for TNA. Their X-Division and Knockouts completely suck right now. And even the main event is rapidly starting to crumble. But who knows, maybe a monday night war will eventually improve both products. But i seriously doubt the Knockouts or the X-Division will benefit from that war.

Good timing from TNA btw, 90% of the RAW viewers probably never heard of Cheech&Chong.

  9. even though I love cheech and chong, that can’t save the trainwreck that is RAW

so I will for sure be watching impact!!!! You know honestly I could see them going live EVERY monday after this next live impact

Diva Dirt- where did you hear this??? I have yet to read this on any other news site, or see an official announcement from TNA.

  10. nevermind…just saw the article on PWInsider

  11. YAY can’t wait

my cousin went to a WWE house show like 2 weeks ago and he told me that a lot of people behind him were talking about switching over to TNA if they move to mondays so thats a great sign for TNA

if you don’t like whats on WWE, switch to TNA and vice-versa

  12. Dammit, stupid me thought there would be like Angelina vs Mickie matches when I read the title of this post =(

  13. What’s funny about all these people saying they are going to switch from Raw to TNA is why haven’t they? TNA’s ratings have improved but not enough to account for all they people who say they are going to switch but haven’t. My guess is a lot of people will likely simply record one and watch the other or flip channels depending on what match or segment is on. for me though, I can’t stand hogan or his cronies.

  14. “What’s funny about all these people saying they are going to switch from Raw to TNA is why haven’t they? ”

They switch for a few minutes, and then they see the same kind of booking, same old people holding back young guys, and only 20 minutes of wrestling/hour, so they quickly turn back to the familiar RAW, knowing that it doesnt really matter which of the 2 shows they watch.

  15. What a mistake. If they continue to go head to head they will both lose viewers.

  16. lol @ Mikas.

I think a lot of people know who Cheech and Chong are, actually, at least among older people (e.g. the parents and some young adults in the audience) but yeah, I agree that it’s great timing in favor of TNA. C & C are about 20 years too late.
