SmackDown newcomer, Serena may have been conspicuously missing from the SmackDown Redux yesterday but we felt that the Redux should solely concentrate on Diva storylines, but that’s not to say we don’t want to see what our favourite bald Diva’s up to! ‘Weekly Serena Watch‘, not to be confused with the previous ‘Weekly Savannah Watch’, will pretty much just follow you guessed it, Serena in her role as a member of the Straight Edge Society!
Last week, Serena made an interesting debut which saw her have all her hair hacked off, so just how did they try and top that this week? Only by putting her in a segment with two future Hall of Famers — DX! Who’s a lucky girl, then?
Before we see Triple H take on CM Punk, there’s lots of talking yadda yadda yadda. We don’t care about Triple H, so we’ll spare you. At some point Trips calls Serena ‘Britney Spears’ continuing the trend of WWE’s lame and all too late pop culture references.
Near the end of the aforementioned Punk-Trips match, we see Serena get involved. Regardez:
The Straight Edge Society try to gasp, shave Trips’ hair but out comes HBK for the save. Punk uses Serena as a shield and cue another creepy kiss ala last week. Serena seems all too pleased to be of service to her master as Punk rolls out of the ring leaving the new Diva in the ring with the veterans. Michaels then fakes a Sweet Chin Music, fleeing Serena from the ring.
All in all, it looks like this role will be extremely exciting for Serena even though she isn’t wrestling [yet]. Working with DX in your second week on the job? Not bad. Serena came across as having a few screws loose which is perfect for the part and I have to say, she looks great in black.

CM Punk is looking more and more like Jesus everyday.
Now here is a crazy thought: Given that DX is supposedly (and quite obviously) going to be breaking up soon, it seems like its almost a given that Punk and Gallows will defeat them for the Unified Titles. What does this mean? It means Serena will go from FCW talent, to being one of only three workers in the WWE who can show up on both RAW and Smackdown on a weekly basis. I guess we’ll need two Serena watches a week. Pretty damn cool, I’d say.

ugh I can’t stand DX, they’re nothing but old farts in my book, especially Shawn Micheals who IMO doesn’t deserve to face Undertaker again at wrestlemania. He had his shot and blew it
I really hope Serena transitions to a wrestler before this year ends, i would hate for her to become the next Natayla and end up managing for life. She looks okay bald but she looks better with hair, still love her though

I enjoyed Serena’s interaction this week. Things with her are bound to get interesting and this angle is just excellent.

Serena was AMAZING.
I rather see Cryme tyme wining because they been in WWE for so long, and yet to win those belts.
i liked that she was used in a way that actually aided the team instead of the old diva trying to help and getting Knocked out thing
You know….I think I’d give up alcohol just to let CM Punk kiss me like that. But it was good to see Serena actually JUMP on Triple H’s back instead of just get in the ring and cower over CM Punk’s body or whatever they usually have the women do.
the whole going around cutting people’s hair thing reminds me of the beautiful people angle a good few months back, it’s pretty funny seeing a bunch of big burly men doing it instead.
hopefully serena gets even more involved as time goes by! but i agree with those who said it’s nice to see a diva doing something other than begging a man for mercy on behalf of his opponent.
I still think Serena looks nice with her shaved head. I’m so sick of DX right now. To me CM Punk will always look better than Triple H shaved or not.
Congrats to Serena. You rockin’ it bald, baby, and you’ve arrived. I’d trade being involved in a storyline like hers than Diva/Women’s champion ANY day!!! That they have her directly mixing it up (to some degree) with a big guy like HHH means they’ve got a lot of confidence in her.
sugarrush28: I agree with you. It’s the shape of her head, I think. I actually think she can carry being bald better than Roxxi. And this girl has presence even though I think she has yet to tap on her full potential.
This must be an honour to her, however she’s just being used (for now) as a valet. Lets hope this changes.

Do people really want someone so deseperate to be a WWE Diva around? She got a boob job. She fixed her nose. She slowed down her style. And now she shaved her head. What’s next? She’s going to get a tattoo of that Divas logo across her forehead? Or would that be the CM Punk logo on her back… What is going to happen to her if she gets let go by the WWE? Are we going to have to start a suicide watch for her?
I mean, Jillian totally changed her physical appearance that is going to be around a lot longer than her WWE run. Think of what all those chemicals and procedures do to your body. =/
ebmich: you’re kinda right, however, Serena’s makeover doesn’t make her look like a clown or a to botoxified Barbie.
I like Jillian a lot, but those plastics made her look artificial and well, kinda ugly.
