Tonight, Beth Phoenix became the 2nd woman ever to compete in the Royal Rumble match as its 6th entrant. She managed to eliminate the Great Khali but was eventually eliminated by CM Punk.

Serena and Beth had a great match in OVW, so maybe being eliminated by CM Punk will make Beth go after Serena as some sort of revenge. That would make a good feud, and ideal for Serena’s first match since the 2 are already familiar with eachother.
that is a good point Mikas, i can see them makin that into an angle with Serena eventally make in her in ring debut with Beth on Smackdown, now i am excited haha
Beth vs. Serena would be good. But considering that Serena was just introduced, it would not make sense to have her wrestle. At this point she’s supposed to be a fan, which means she has no wrestling experience. Besides, that would mean Beth would be out of a Mickie and Michelle feud.
Anyways, Beth was awesome in the Rumble. It was obvious that she wasn’t going to win, so it’s nice that they had her eliminate one of the biggest guys in the roster, thus demonstrating her power.
Serena shaving her head was nothing compared to Beth’ kissing Khali for that amount of time.
it would have been cool to see beth and edge have a stand off and beth would have thrown edge out of the ring.(: beth did a damn good job putting the great khali out of the ring. i was clapping and cheer for her through the screen.(: greaat match!!
LOVED the clothesline she hammered Punk with. That was exciting!!!! (Although I am not crazy about seeing Beth kiss other men…LOL)
Beth had a few words to say about the Royal Rumble and CHYNA
“Tonight was my night to step up and step out of the Divas division into a league of my own,” Beth said. “With every single obstacle that’s been put in front of me, I’ve not only reached my goals,” Beth boasted, “but I’ve far surpassed what everyone has ever expected from me.”
“Despite Chyna’s accomplishments [in the Rumble],” Beth said, “I eliminated The Great Khali. Seven-foot-three, 420 pounds. No small feat.”
“I am WWE’s Glamazon. Chyna was WWE’s Ninth Wonder of the World … mostly called so because people wondered whether she was a man or a woman. I often wonder this, myself.”
“Chyna would have had a slight size advantage in her prime, but I’ll tell you what Chyna was missing and that was heart.”
“In the ring, toe-to-toe with me, Chyna doesn’t compare.”
When i was reading that i kept thinkin Chyna Vs Beth, but there is no way in hell Chyna would ever return to WWE so, i guess keep dreamin
^ Crazier things have happened especially in WWE. I mean Beth’s sounds like she’s basically calling Chyna out. It would be a great Wrestlemania match that’s for sure, well on paper at least. I wouldn’t mind seeing Chyna again (even though she’s been somewhat of a mess in recent years) and if it’s a feud with Beth I welcome it with open arms. But I digress, major kudos to “The Glamazon” for making history, can’t wait to watch her throw Kahli out for myself.
i agree Jonathon it does sound like a call out, but they did the same thing with Beth calling Trish Stratus out, so maybe we are going to see Chyna Vs Trish and on Chyna website it is asking fans if she should guest host Raw hmmm interesting
I would love to see this carry into a fued with Beth & Punk. With her going to to toe with Serena which , may turn Beth face.

Wow no offence to Beth, but I hope thats Kayfabe talk right there. She’s nowhere near Chyna’s level at all. No need to list the reasons either. One thing I will give her is that she is probably TECHNICALLY and MENTALLY a little more sound that Chyna, but thats about it.

Love Beth but I don’t appreciate those comments against Chyna. I’ve always hated when the commentators would go on and on about NEVER seeing a woman with strength like Beth’s in the ring (the argument of who’s the better technical wrestler, etc. aside). I felt it was like slapping the memory of Chyna in the face (as impossible as that is). :P I’ve like to see Chyna vs Beth, though I agree it won’t happen. Too bad.

I agree it’s annoying when the commentators put a wrestler over, and forget about someone from the past. Chyna didn’t leave in the best of terms, so the WWE has no reason to put her over anymore and maybe that’s why they forget to mention her.
Chyna vs. Beth, too good to be true.. but it would be awesome if it did happen.

Also, I think Beth might kind of owe Chyna something. Had they not tested the waters with Chyna first I don’t think Beth would have been hired when she was. After all, she isn’t they typical kind of woman the WWE hires. But, Beth has made her own path separate from Chyna’s and no one can take that away from her.

I think this Beth talking shit thing might open up a gateway for Chyna to come back. But, she is going to be 40 this year and that’s a little old for a wrestler. Unless you’re Tara. I don’t think the WWE is that closed minded on bringing her back.

There is no argument. Beth is an impressive, skilled, techncal wrestler. In terms of actual ring ability, Chyna was average. And that’s being generous. The WWE don’t need her back. And the very last thing Beth needs right now is a feud with her.
Chyna was a novelty, a gimmick. Beth is a genuine talent. There’s a difference.
I love both Chyna and Beth but Beth will never be on Chyna’s level.. ever. Beth might be the better wrestler but Chyna had the look and she had charisma. Beth is just another female “wrestler” that’s somewhat attractive.
i don’t get why people are defending chyna like beth said something so out of line and disparaging. fact is chyna is mediocre at best. she wasn’t even the best during her time. far from it actually. she had a great presence a unique look and a well developed character. like sable, she was in the right place at the right time. back then the creative team actually put some time and effort in giving their talents a character to turn them into stars. anyway she was obviously in character and atleast by mentioning her, she somewhat acknowledge chyna’s existence in the history book.
The comment on whether Chyna was a man or woman was so childish & degraded her comments. I get she might be trying to prove her “glam” but there are better ways.

I agree Mikas, cause I thought that was supposed to be part of the Straight Edge movement. Maybe that’s how the current storyline could end, with his converts turning on him when they confront him about his lifestyle. Beth hands down is better than Chyna. Chyna doesn’t have the technical wrestling ability that Beth has, and now, in the condition she’s in, never will. Okay, Chyna powerbombed Eddie Guererro and Chris Jericho, and became the Intercontinental Champion. Just because she did that does not make her the best women’s wrestler ever. Beth has never said she is the next Chyna, but people just compare her to Chyna. Obviously Beth is grateful for Chyna “paving the way” as you all say to her being able to compete in the Royal Rumble.
