A report in the Wrestling Observer newsletter last week suggested that a prime difference between the WWE Divas and TNA Knockouts was their match agenting. According to Dave Meltzer, the Knockouts’ matches are structured move-for-move by TNA agents while the Divas put together their own matches.
Speaking on The Krissy Vaine Project this past weekend, Krissy Vaine, a former WWE Diva and independent worker Rain, a former TNA Knockout discussed their experiences of how things work in the two companies.
On the show, which you can listen to by clicking here, Krissy explains that during her time in WWE, most of the matches were heavily agented, and there was always an agent present. Meanwhile, Rain who worked in TNA as Payton Banks said that she was able to wrestle freely without structured agenting.
It should be noted that it has been some time since Krissy or Rain have competed for WWE or TNA, so things could have changed but nonetheless, fans received a unique insight from two talents who have been there — contradictive of the report in the Observer.
Also on last week’s Krissy Vaine Project, Rain explained how the Knockouts wages worked in light of recent reports that some TNA Knockouts are unhappy with their pay.

It’s interesting to examine the two perspectives. I wonder what it’s like, really.

Who the hell is Rain? I love Krissy! But yeah I think its more beleivable that TNA has play by play matches, and the Divas put theirs together. WWE is better than TNA! TNA heading to Mondays is a HUGE mistake! Remember WCW? Yeah WWE shut their ass’ down! And they will do the same to TNA. I mean WWE has been around for 50+ years and worked to get where they are. Then some tiny promotion called TNA, who has been around 7+ years, comes around and assumes they can take over the “top-dog” spot in the wrestling scene just because they signed people that WWE got tired of. Im not trying to be insulting, but its true. Wait and see!

“Who the hell is Rain?”
With that comment alone you made it clear that your knowledge about ‘womens wrestling’ is limited to the occasional wrestling match you see on WWE.

Man this makes the knockouts look even more bad then they already were, they’re just following the script
@wrestlingwomen- WIll you shut up already, this site is about womens wrestling, not about who’s better TNA or WWE?

Rain is missed in TNA, She should have stayed on as Payton Banks, nice name, she was beautiful and shes a solid worker, TNA should hire her back, Rain deserves a place more than Lacey for example does.
I much prefer TNA’s women, the Tara/Angelina match was amazing last week, even better if they put it together themselves.

@wrestlingwomen
your screenname is wrestlingwomen and you just asked who Rain was, and even worse you asked it in such a rude manner?
why don’t you turn off the Kelly Kelly match you’re watching, promptly change your screenname and then educate yourself on the awesomeness that is Shimmer.

I like how WWE allow the female wrestlers to sort out their own matches…kinda gives them their own independance in a way. TNA is good also because they put on awesome matches, but I now think this is minimised due to the four sided ring…dont know why but TNA seesm more like WWE with that ring……. :/

I liked Rain alot and was bumped when her stint in TNA ended. I first saw her wrestle in CZW I believe in a match mix tag match involving her and Simply Luscious. I thought she was good and it made me a fan of hers.

It was a shame that Rain was dropped while LVE was picked up. Talk about exchanging your steak for hamburger. LOL! I’ve loved Rain since I saw her with IWA-MS and she is great in SHIMMER too, as well as the other Homewreckers.

I would still perfer to work in TNA.Why?Because I’d feel confident in the ring and like I knew what I was actually doing.I would feel safe.
As opposed to in the WWE where I would feel unsure of myself.

okay so i did some diggin…. Orlando Jordan is a part of some organization named KNOKXPRO that Rikishi, Umaga (RIP), and Gangrel have a major foot in….
Well it just so happens to have every new TNA talent of “their” roster…. Including one Lacey Von Erich (& maybe other future knock-outs)… you think this is a coincidence or part of a some conspiracy to “put over their talent” at the stake of TNA’s future…. Check it out… Knokxpro …..
& as for this entry Dave Meltzer is Pro-WWE of course he’s lookin for every angle to give them more light…. apparently there are way more hands in this pot to blame… because if the talent is booking these small matches I’mma need them to STEP IT UP… Trust Me I have seen a 4 minute match that was classic….

After reading this awesome site for almost a year, I felt I finally had to register!
1st of all, if the Divas are putting on their matches together themselves, then you have to give credit where it is due.
And even if the Knockouts matches are told what to do move by move, I don’t care! As a Knockout & Diva fan I think that the Knockouts matches are much more interesting. But I’m sure the knockouts have some input as most of them have been in the wrestling biz for quite a long time. I can imagine the likes of Sarita, Hamada etc wanting to do their ‘own thing’ as they know what they are capable of.
@wrestlingwomen I think you need to change your username to ‘wrestlingdivas’ because it seems that the Divas is the only wrestling you watch. I wonder if you have seen the Kong/Hamada vs Sarita/Taylor match from the live Impact? That was wrestling
