NASCAR driver Carl Edwards is hosting Raw tonight live from Louisiana, the home state of the Super Bowl champs. There is no Divas Championship Tournament final scheduled for the show, so expect more build up towards the eventual match (perhaps at the Elimination Chamber PPV on February 21st?)
Discuss the show in the comments!
EDIT: For the second week in a row, it has been decided to forgo the Post-Raw show. With what a non-event that tonight’s Raw was, it is for the best. Nothing new took place, and any complaints we have have been discussed to death. If the WWE wants to put zero effort into the Divas, it’s hard to muster up any ourselves. Hopefully next week will actually give us something to talk about–fingers crossed!

With Maryse trashing SD, it;s obvious they’re planting the seeds for a title unification match at Mania.

Wow they couldn’t even bother with any entrances for Divas, that alone set the tone for Divas tonight. I couldn’t even pay attention to the match not like it was that important (Obviously) cause I was so dismayed by the lack of entrances for both Divas. But I guess they had to squeeze some time in between HBK’s weekly sulking sessions for Maryse to speak. Now that I mention it, and not that I have a problem with Maryse speaking. But why is she always on commentary and why is she always the mouth piece? Sure she is capable on the mic, but Gail (and others Divas) aren’t that bad. Why is WWE so afraid to give Gail more than a half a sentence (if that) to say? On the plus side at least there’s some kind of story progression not much from last week that’s for sure but something. And at least WWE surprised us (note the sarcasm) with Diva some action.

Wow that’s a rich coming from Cena’s mouth being WWE’s Highest Paid Wrestler lol

Scratch that Cena is the best thing that happened to Raw tonight. That man is just good looking.

They have shown us what happened last monday 4 times now, yet we only get a 30 second diva match?

I just don’t get why this whole “feud” is so blatantly one sided. I’m sick of watching Gail supposedly as a top face of Raw, yet she never gets entrances, she never talks, and didn’t even have the faces enter to her theme in the 10 diva pre match to the rumble. Maryse get’s everything in this “feud” and I sit here asking myself why. Why has Gail worked so hard only to be relegated to this? I know we have to see four separate Shawn Michaels emotional moments, but why can’t Gail actually be on commentary for a Maryse match against Kelly or someone? Is it so hard to let someone that speaks English get the mic once in a while >_>

I hope Brett is okay after that fall xD

RAW was amazing, and then the Divas segment was appaulingly short. Damn the RAW writers!

The way Maryse is acting is bizarre. I don’t get it, I don’t think this is going to be over in two weeks.

4 matches in 2 hours, of which 2 went under 2 minutes. The storyline advancement on this raw was very good (dx, legacy, sheamus, show-miz), but the wrestling made it one of the worst raws ever (although the tagteam match was good).

I am glad they aren’t letting Gail talk. Have you people forgotten that Michelle displays more “natural” personality than her? Have you people forgotten that she was heavily criticized for her role in that backstage segment when she was just talking backstage? That was acting. That was just two uninteresting women talking backstage.
I am glad that match was short. We have seen how much Gail and Jillian flub up with given the chance on Raw. And I am not exactly sure what Maryse said, but what I have read, she pretty much called Gail pathetic and nothing. It is hard to argue when that if Gail isn’t getting an entrance and is generally forgettable by people who aren’t fans.

Juicy Juice Box, from what I saw of Superstar spoilers, there’s no Divas action this week, but Chris Masters is there so it may be likely she’ll accompany him as usual. I don’t really know what Maryse is anymore, her character started of a French Canadian WWE equivalent of the Beautiful People and now she’s suppose to be some sort of egotistical psychopath who trash talks in French? I don’t know, its like they’ve tried to mould her but she doesn’t really fit as anything. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Maryse as a face, just so they’d put to sleep her tired ‘sexiest of the sexy’ gimmick which is now turning rather bizarre.
Oh and EBMich it does say somewhere on the site, exactly what Maryse said, but you basically summed it up yourself.
The whole entrance debate always annoys me because it might say how much WWE cares for its Divas, but technically they still get entrances, they’re just not put on television. Its not like they’re missing them out completely and coming out Kozlov-silence stylee. I think people who get too involved into that are worrying over nothing, people know where the women are classed in WWE no matter how much we want to against it, if you think about if, if the entrances had been shown the match would’ve probably been shorter (if thats possible) to stick to timing.
